Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 30 Preparations Before the Start of School (5)

The same four-person rooms, the same circular layout. However, Gryffindor students have a perk that students from other houses don't have: a panoramic view of the entire Hogwarts.

After walking through the common rooms of all four houses, it was clear that Hogwarts pays close attention to the students' lives. This was evident in small details; for example, each house's base color scheme indicated its characteristics, and the decorations of the common rooms reflected these characteristics.

The Hufflepuffs are characterized by their strong sense of unity, so they only need one lounge. There's nothing they can't talk about, and they prefer to be together rather than scattered.

Slytherin's prestige is reflected in their honors, so their common room is more about luxury and grandeur. In layman's terms, it's incredibly prestigious; you can tell they're extremely wealthy just by going in.

Ravenclaws, needless to say, are all about intelligence. Without a brain, you wouldn't even be able to get into the common room. The fact that students from other houses can enter the common room through the bronze eagle knocker demonstrates Ravenclaws' respect for all knowledge.

The Gryffindor lion cubs are always the most energetic. So, they're assigned to high floors, perhaps initially to exhaust these mischievous kids? But then again, living so high up takes courage, which perfectly demonstrates their bravery.

After leaving the Gryffindor common room, Andres descended from the eighth floor to the fourth floor again, as our Charms class was on the fourth floor. Upon arriving at the Charms classroom, Andres used the Charms classroom card once more.

Another flash of white light (I know there were a lot of flashes of white light, but this is a magical world!).

Pushing open the door, there was a straight passage leading to the lectern, which was surrounded and behind by piles of books. The main purpose of these books, of course, wasn't for reading, but rather to serve as a stepping stone for Frivi.

It may be impolite to say this, but it's true: the aisle is lined with students' desks and chairs. There's still plenty of space, since everyone needs to wave their wands and cast spells, and if the students were too close together, they might accidentally bump into each other.

Besides, the most distinctive feature of the Charms classroom is that the magical density within it is much higher than in other classrooms; it is said that there is a magic-gathering circle in the classroom. The main purpose of this is that many young wizards are unable to cast spells because they lack sufficient magical power.

Therefore, increasing the magic density in the classroom to improve the spellcasting success rate of young wizards is mainly intended to let them experience the feeling of successfully casting spells and boost their confidence. After all, constantly failing will cause them to lose confidence!

Andres left the Charms classroom and returned to the lobby on the first floor, since the Transfiguration classroom was on the first floor.

Andres arrived at the door of the Transformation Classroom on the first floor and used the Transformation Classroom Card on the classroom.

"Transfiguration Classroom Card: Transfiguration is one of the most important magical arts students learn at Hogwarts. It is the most complex and also the most dangerous subject. Remember, never eat food created by the Transfiguration Charm, it will kill you! This room can accommodate fifty students at a time. The number of students increases by fifty percent for each grade level increase, and students' comprehension of Transfiguration increases by five percent for each grade level increase in this room."

The same white light flashed by, but the Transformation Classroom was really nothing special, with its simple brick walls and rows of wooden tables and chairs.

At the front of the classroom are the lectern and the blackboard, but the most magical thing is that the classroom space can change according to the user's needs, meaning that Professor McGonagall can control the size of the room.

When Professor McGonagall needs to demonstrate a large Transfiguration spell, you'll find that the Transfiguration classroom is spacious enough. When Professor McGonagall starts teaching younger students from the beginning, the classroom is not so large, and the students are almost within arm's reach of McGonagall's lectern, making it easier for them to see every movement of the professor.

Alright, the classrooms are all arranged. It's not that Andres doesn't want to offer more courses, but his limited resources and points prevent him from doing so. He can only take it one step at a time.

Andres went to the open space outside the castle and silently recited the command to use the Knight Bus Card.

With a bang, a three-story bus appeared in front of us. The words "Knight Bus" were written on its windshield.

“Welcome aboard the Knight Bus, an emergency passenger service for witches or wizards in distress. Simply extend your wand and hop on, and we’ll take you wherever you wish to go. My name is Stan Sampark, and I’m your ticket seller tonight. Oh, sorry, Principal Andres. You know it’s a professional habit, hard to break.” A young man stood on the bus, his hat askew, wearing an open uniform with a ticket machine slung across his shoulder.

“I understand, Stan Sampark. I’m glad you and Ern Pran could come here to help.”

“Ah, you’re too kind, Headmaster Andres. This is our job. We’ve long been accustomed to this kind of life. But what I don’t understand is, what can we do here? There are no wizards here who need help.”

“Here’s the thing, you should know the situation here. Hogwarts is a newly established school this year, and only sixty-eight young wizards have been enrolled to study magic here today. But we can’t transport them all to the castle at once; we need transportation.”

"Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, and I discussed it, and we decided not to redeem the Hogwarts Express until there are enough people. The Knight Bus is the best option right now."

“Thank you for Principal Andres’ trust. Although our Knight Bus has three decks, there aren’t enough beds to accommodate so many people! And after one trip, Ern Pran and I still have nothing to do.”

"Don't worry about that. We plan to make some modifications to the Knight Bus, which is to remove all the beds and replace them with sofas so that more people can be accommodated. Once the magical society here is established, you can change it back. As for other matters, I happen to have some other things that I need to trouble you with."

"The principal means modifying the car? Okay, that's the only way, isn't it? Anything else? What else?"

“We only have the castle right now, and the castle relies on external supplies for everything it needs. We have to make a trip here almost every week to transport supplies. I was worried about where to find suitable people to do this, but now that you’ve come, I think this problem can be solved.”

“Oh, no problem, Headmaster. Ern Pran and I can handle this job perfectly well. As long as you have the goods and the vehicle ready, we’d be happy to serve you.”

"I don't know what your requirements are for the lounge. I'll have Dobby prepare a room for you in the castle. You can stay here for now. You can move out when the school expands to include Hogsmeade Village or Diagon Alley."

“No problem, Principal Andres, but could you please pay some of our wages first? Pran and I need to buy some daily necessities, since we didn’t bring anything with us when we were summoned.”
