Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 152 Quidditch Team Selection

The meeting ended quickly, and the professors walked in twos and threes to the main hall on the first floor for lunch. Andres led Catherine ahead, occasionally discussing what magical potions would be suitable for the Muggle world.

"Catherine, you mentioned that the beauty industry is becoming increasingly profitable?"

“Yes, Headmaster Andres, you should never underestimate a woman’s desire for beauty; they are willing to pay any price for it. For example, losing weight, becoming younger, growing taller, and getting rid of acne are all excellent options. I just don’t know what magical potions Hogwarts can provide.”

"What you've said seems to be all possible, but some of the potions are only temporary."

"Principal Andres, what we need is a temporary solution! If it's permanent, how will we make money?"

Looking at Catherine's matter-of-fact expression, Andres realized he had overestimated the conscience of capitalists. Capitalists will do anything to make money; short-term, quick, and effective results are the best products for them.

In addition, during lunch, Andres also talked with Catherine about establishing a herbal medicine base and a base for potion raw materials in the Middle East.

“Catherine, go back and do some thorough research. Don’t be afraid to spend money. If you find a suitable place, you can decide to buy it first. If the other party refuses to sell or there are other problems, you can come to me and I will step in to resolve them.”

“I’m not worried about anything else, I’m only worried about whether the people with the green faith over there will pose a threat to our safety.”

“We will set up a large-scale security spell there, not only to make our base invisible to Muggles, but also to set up a Muggle repelling spell, so that Muggles will remember something very important and leave in a hurry as soon as they get close. Just like Hogwarts and Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. However, I suggest you set up a company like Blackwater Security and recruit some military personnel to protect our future businesses.”

"I understand, boss. I'll get started on preparing when I get back. By the way, what style of hotel design did you prefer, the one you mentioned in the meeting? I'll add it to the requirements when we start the bidding process."

"Don't worry about my preferences, consider the preferences of the young people more! Prepare several design options, and I'll hold a vote at Hogwarts. After all, the children will be involved in the construction!"

So, the entire afternoon was spent on these matters. To summarize, the hotel design and land acquisition were carried out simultaneously. The recruitment of a security company and a research and development team also needed to be done concurrently. Once all of this was settled, construction of the hotel, herb garden, and potion raw material base would begin.

Then there are the elective courses offered in the second and third semesters, so there's still a lot to do. After lunch, Catherine had a quick meeting with her sister Beretta and then left. She has the most to do, but fortunately, she has a dedicated team at the company to serve her.

After returning to the principal's office, Andres wrote two notices, the content of which was roughly as follows.

"Firstly, Hogwarts embraces healthy competition and rejects discrimination and bullying. Anyone found engaging in such behavior will have their wand confiscated and be sent back to their place of origin!"

The second group of houses will soon begin forming their Quidditch teams, with all equipment provided by the schools.

Andres handed the two notices to Darris, instructing Darris to distribute them to the prefects and post them on their respective college bulletin boards.

Andreas then wrote another letter to the Quidditch Shop in Hogsmeade Village, requesting that they prepare equipment for eight Quidditch teams. The reason for eight teams was primarily to ensure each house had replacement and replenishment equipment, and also because once Hogwarts Castle reached level ten and could accommodate over 50,000 students, each house might have more than one team!

September passed quickly, and on the last day of the month, the newly arrived three-year wizards finally chose their mentors. The romantic Westerners preferred Charms and Transfiguration, while the diligent Easterners favored Herbalism and Potions. Defense Against the Dark Arts, the remaining subject, was more popular among the young wizards who loved pursuing power.

The first thing Andres did in October was to set up a public telephone booth in an empty room in Hogsmeade Village. This telephone booth was mainly for the more than 300 exchange students. The French exchange students could at least send letters home by owl to tell their families about their lives.

But the other three countries are too far away. How so? There's still hope of delivery to Russia, though it's unknown how long the flight will take. As for the United States, there's absolutely no hope. Even an owl couldn't fly across the Atlantic, let alone China, which is even farther away!

So, to solve the mental anguish of the young wizards, Andres created this public telephone booth. Thinking ahead, Andres used space-folding magic to install hundreds of telephones in this booth.

In mid-October, on a sunny Saturday, Quidditch team tryouts began for the four houses.

Each house currently has approximately two hundred students, and each house needs to select fifteen players from these two hundred to form a Quidditch team. The team will have seven starting players, and the remaining eight will be substitutes. As for how many substitutes to prepare for each position, that's the team captain's responsibility.

The selection of team members is of paramount importance to Hogwarts at the moment, and almost all the young wizards take it very seriously, except for those who are not good at flying. Madam Hodge brought in Professors Andreas and McGonagall to serve as judges and score the candidates, while the student council presidents, Darius and Diane, along with all the prefects, maintained order at the scene.

They also wanted to participate in Quidditch, but while the first-year students were still in school for three years, the second-year students had given up on the activity because they were simply too busy to train and compete.

This was also a disappointment for the ten second-year students in the three-year program; perhaps fate likes to play jokes and is always unwilling to give humanity anything perfect. Darius assigned the first-year presiding officers to register the applicants, mainly recording information such as college, name, age, and location, and then gave these completed forms to Andres and the others.

Andres first received information about the Gryffindor wizards, as they were the first to begin selecting their candidates. Andres used a copying charm to duplicate the stack of application forms in front of him, then gave two copies to Mrs. Hodge and Professor McGonagall. Then, Andres used a megaphone charm to address everyone present.

"Alright, all unrelated personnel, please take your seats in the audience. We will now begin the first test for the Gryffindor House selection."
