Rebirth of the Prime Minister's Daughter: Not to be Trifled With

Chapter 57 Xin'er Seeks Help from Su Yun Chu

A few days later, Xin'er had recovered enough and decided to visit Miss Su Yun Chu at Xia Guang Courtyard.

The next morning, Xin'er got up early, washed up, and without even having breakfast, went to wait for Granny Ye to come out of her courtyard.

But after waiting for a while, Granny Ye still didn't come out. So, Xin'er gently knocked on the courtyard gate. Granny Ye heard the knocking and came over, asking in a deep voice, "Who's knocking?"

After hearing this, Xin'er paused for a moment and replied in a low voice, "Master, I am Xin'er." Upon hearing this, Granny Ye opened the courtyard gate from the inside and welcomed Xin'er into her courtyard.

Granny Ye looked at Xin'er and asked softly, "Xin'er, you've come so early! Xin'er, have you had breakfast yet? Would you like to come in and have some more?"

After hearing this, Xin'er looked at Granny Ye and said with a smile, "Master, thank you! Xin'er was in such a hurry to come out that I haven't had time to eat breakfast yet! Xin'er is a little hungry too, so thank you, Master!"

Upon hearing this, Granny Ye brought over a large bowl of vegetable porridge for Xin'er. The porridge was quite thick, the vegetables were bright green, and it looked and smelled delicious, making it very appetizing.

Xin'er took a small sip, looked at Granny Ye, and said with a smile, "Master, the vegetable porridge you made is so delicious, so incredibly tasty!"

After hearing this, Granny Ye looked at Xin'er and said softly, "Xin'er, if you like it, eat more! There's still some vegetable porridge in the pot."

After hearing this, Xin'er looked at Granny Ye and nodded with a smile. The atmosphere between Xin'er and Granny Ye as they enjoyed breakfast was particularly harmonious; they chatted and laughed, just like a close grandmother and granddaughter.

After breakfast, Xin'er and Granny Ye cleaned up the dishes and headed towards Miss Su Yun Chu's Xia Guang Courtyard.

Outside Xiaguang Courtyard, Xin'er hesitated, unsure whether she should go in and pay her respects to the young lady, Su Yun Chu.

Seeing this, Granny Ye looked at Xin'er and earnestly advised, "Xin'er, the eldest young lady is a very kind mistress. If it weren't for her, you might have... Since we're already here, let's go in and pay our respects to the eldest young lady!"

After hearing this, Xin'er looked at Granny Ye and mustered up her courage to knock on the gate of Xiaguang Courtyard.

Upon hearing the sound, a maid opened a small door and peeked out. The maid was overjoyed to see it was Xin'er.

Then, the maid looked at Xin'er and asked in confusion, "Sister Xin'er, what brings you here?" Xin'er looked at the maid and replied respectfully, "Xin'er has come specifically to pay her respects to the young lady."

Upon hearing this, the young maid went in to consult Su Yun Chu. A moment later, the maid opened the door, and Xin'er and Granny Ye entered Xia Guang Courtyard together.

Su Yun Chu was dressed in a light pink dress, looking both elegant and beautiful. She leaned against the windowsill, holding a piece of embroidery cloth in her hand, and was carefully embroidering.

Noticing someone enter, she quickly put down her embroidery. She looked up at Xin'er and Granny Ye, who were being led in by a maid, her eyes clear and bright.

Xin'er glanced at Su Yun Chu, then quickly knelt down and bowed, saying, "Xin'er greets Miss!" Seeing this, Granny Ye also quickly knelt down and bowed, saying, "This old servant greets Miss!"

Su Yun Chu looked at Xin'er, then at Granny Ye, and said in a low voice, "Xin'er, Granny Ye, you may both get up!"

Immediately, Su Yun Chu called the maid over and instructed her to prepare chairs for Xin'er and Granny Ye.

After receiving the order, the maid prepared a chair for Xin'er and Granny Ye and invited them to sit down.

Seeing this, Xin'er and Granny Ye looked at Su Yun Chu and said in a trembling voice, "Miss, how can we maids be worthy to sit on equal footing with you? This is not in accordance with the rules."

Su Yun Chu glanced at Granny Ye, smiled, and said in a low voice, "Granny Ye, don't be so reserved, please sit down!" Granny Ye nodded to Su Yun Chu and sat down.

Then, Su Yun Chu looked at Xin'er, smiled, and asked softly, "Xin'er, are you feeling better?"

After hearing this, Xin'er paused, looked at Su Yun Chu, and said in a low voice, "Miss, thank you for your concern! I am much better now, and I am grateful to you for saving my life!"

As Xin'er spoke, she tried to kneel down and kowtow, but Su Yun Chu quickly stopped her and helped her up.

After hearing this, Su Yunchu looked at Xin'er and said with a smile, "Xin'er, you don't need to thank me. If I see her on the road, I will help her if I can."

After hearing this, Xin'er paused, looked at Su Yun Chu, and said with a light smile, "Miss, you are such a kind and good mistress! Xin'er is really happy and lucky to have met such a kind-hearted mistress like you!"

Upon hearing this, Su Yun Chu immediately understood that Xin'er wanted to ask Su Yun Chu for help, but didn't know how to bring it up.

Then, Su Yun Chu looked at Xin'er, smiled, and said softly, "Xin'er, when we can help others, we should do our best to help them. When we need help, others will also do their best to help us. Xin'er, do you understand now?"

After hearing this, Xin'er paused, looked at Su Yun Chu, and said in a low voice, "Miss, I understand!"

At this moment, Granny Ye, who had been silent all along, walked over helplessly and spoke in her ear in a voice only she could hear, saying with a tone of disappointment, "Xin'er, haven't you realized that what Miss means is that if you need help, you can ask her, and she will help if she can! When she needs help, you will also do your best to help her."

After hearing this, Xin'er looked at Granny Ye, said nothing, and simply nodded.

Immediately, Xin'er looked at Su Yun Chu, knelt down, kowtowed and pleaded, and whispered, "Miss, can you help me, save me?"

After hearing this, Su Yun looked at Xin'er and asked in confusion, "Xin'er, did something happen to you?"

After hearing this, Xin'er recounted to Su Yun Chu the whole story of how the Second Miss fell into the pond that day while she was washing clothes by the pond.

She also said that the lady held this embroidery competition in order to find her and control her.

The second young lady also approached her and threatened her to keep quiet. Later, a concubine named Jia Guifei came to the palace, took a liking to her embroidery, and wanted to bring her into the palace.

When the madam found out, she came to stop it and took her to Qingya Garden, where she was thoroughly humiliated and eventually kicked away. If the young lady hadn't happened to pass by and saved her, she would have been dead.

Upon hearing this, Su Yun was shocked to discover that Liu Shi and Su Yunyan would be so vicious in dealing with such a lowly maid in order to cover their tracks.

Then, Su Yun Chu looked at Xin'er and said softly, "Xin'er, I understand. I will do my best to help you!"

Upon hearing this, Xin'er knelt down and kowtowed to Su Yun Chu to express her gratitude for her help.
