Rebirth in Another World: The Ultimate Legend

Chapter 35 Black Tiger's Defeat

Seeing the black tiger growing increasingly frenzied and its attacks more ferocious, the men in black knew they could no longer fight it head-on, so they quickly changed their strategy. One of them pulled a black whistle from his pocket and blew a peculiar, shrill sound. The whistle seemed to possess some kind of mysterious magic, echoing in the air and causing the black tiger's movements to slow for a moment. In that instant, a hint of confusion and bewilderment appeared in the black tiger's eyes, and its attack rhythm was disrupted.

Taking advantage of this precious opportunity, several men in black swiftly threw out a large net they had prepared beforehand from behind. The net shimmered with an eerie blue light, its threads incredibly strong, clearly not an ordinary hunting net. As the net unfurled in the air, like a giant flower of death, it enveloped Black Tiger.

Realizing the danger, it struggled desperately, its limbs kicking against the ground and its body twisting, trying to break free from the terrible restraints. However, the net tightened more and more, like a cold snake, coiling itself tightly around its body.

"This time we must succeed, we can't let it escape!" a man in black thought to himself. His forehead was covered with beads of sweat that slid down his cheeks, but his eyes were resolute and ruthless. He gripped the rope of the control net tightly in his hand, not daring to relax for a moment.

The other men in black unleashed their unique skills. Some wielded sharp longswords, their blades gleaming coldly in the sunlight. They seized their opportunities, thrusting their swords at the black tiger's legs, attempting to incapacitate it. Each thrust was accompanied by a whistling sound and carried with it a resolute determination to kill.

Some held bows and crossbows, aiming at the black tiger's eyes and other vital parts, drawing the bowstring taut and shooting out arrows in an attempt to disrupt its vision and judgment.

The black tiger roared in fury and despair, its voice echoing through the forest and startling a flock of birds. Its eyes were filled with fear and resentment; it never imagined that these seemingly insignificant humans possessed such formidable power. It had once reigned supreme in these forests and had never faced such a predicament.

"Hmph, no matter how fierce you are, you can't withstand our meticulous planning!" Another man in black was filled with smugness. He watched Black Tiger struggle in the net, as if he could already see the dawn of victory.

Black Tiger struggled with all its might, inflicting many new wounds on its body, blood gushing out and staining its black fur and the ground beneath its feet. But the net was like a demon's restraint; no matter how hard it tried, it could not break free. Its strength was slowly fading, and its movements gradually became sluggish.

Finally, Black Tiger was exhausted. His massive body crashed to the ground, panting heavily. His eyes gradually lost their light, leaving only endless despair and helplessness.

"Finally subdued this beast. Now we can report back," said the leader of the men in black, a barely perceptible smile appearing on his face. There was no pity in his eyes, only the relief and satisfaction of completing a mission.

Hidden in the bushes, Lin Yu and Zhao Ling'er witnessed this scene, their hearts filled with shock and anger. Lin Yu clenched his fists tightly, his knuckles turning white from the force, silently vowing to find out the purpose of these men in black. Zhao Ling'er covered her mouth to stifle any sound, her eyes filled with sympathy for Black Tiger.

The surrounding woods rustled in the breeze, as if mourning the fate of the black tiger. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating patches of light, but it couldn't illuminate the darkness.
