Rebirth in Another World: The Ultimate Legend

Chapter 34 Fierce Confrontation

The black tiger pounced on the men in black, its massive, agile body tracing a sharp arc through the air, muscles taut, fur bristling. Its eyes burned with rage, its heart filled with fury and vigilance. It knew these uninvited guests had brazenly intruded into its territory, posing a tremendous threat to its survival and prestige. Its powerful limbs slammed into the ground, each pounce carrying the force of a thunderbolt, as if to tear these intruders to shreds. It was determined to teach these fools a lesson in its might, to use its ferocity to protect its territory, and to ensure they would never dare to invade again.

On the other side, the men in black, though each one highly trained, agile, wielding sharp weapons, and possessing cold, fierce eyes, couldn't help but feel apprehensive and fearful in the face of such a ferocious black tiger. They knew this mission was extremely difficult; they had to capture this powerful black tiger, yet they constantly worried that the slightest mistake would cost them their lives with its sharp claws and fangs. They exchanged rapid, covert glances, passing signals and instructions, working in perfect harmony, trying to find an opening in the black tiger to deliver a fatal blow.

Lin Yu and Zhao Ling'er, hiding in the bushes, watched all of this with bated breath.

"Brother Lin Yu, these men in black don't seem like good people. Why are they targeting this black tiger?" Zhao Ling'er asked in a low voice, her brows furrowed deeply, forming two deep lines, her eyes filled with doubt and worry. Her voice trembled slightly with tension, and her hands unconsciously gripped the grass beside her.

Lin Yu's gaze was solemn as he stared intently at the battle unfolding before him. "I don't know either, but I sense they have ulterior motives. Perhaps they have something they want on this black tiger—a valuable pelt, or something else of great value." Lin Yu mused to himself. These men in black moved with discipline, displaying excellent training and organization, unlike ordinary hunters. There was likely a larger, mysterious force behind them.

Zhao Ling'er gripped Lin Yu's clothes tightly, her knuckles turning white from the force. "What do we do? It'll be terrible if they find out." Her heart pounded wildly, as if it would leap out of her throat, each beat accompanied by deep fear. She was terrified of being discovered by the men in black and dragged into this danger, her mind filled with all sorts of horrific consequences.

Lin Yu gently patted Zhao Ling'er's hand, trying to calm her down. "Don't be afraid, Ling'er. Let's observe first and see how things go. Don't expose yourself unless absolutely necessary." Lin Yu was also quickly calculating in his mind. If the men in black really succeeded in capturing or killing Black Tiger, then their next operation might be more difficult and full of unknown dangers because of the existence of these mysterious men in black.

Just then, the black tiger was slashed several times by the men in black, its black fur stained crimson with blood. This enraged it even more, its eyes burning with even greater fury. Its attacks became increasingly fierce and reckless, each pounce and bite carrying a suicidal determination. The men in black gradually began to struggle, their movements slowing, their formation faltering, and the situation growing increasingly tense and critical.
