Su Ling's Time Travel

Su Ling's heart skipped a beat upon hearing this; she knew Xiao Yutong was right. Her appearance had indeed attracted more zombies, putting greater pressure on Xiao Yutong and the others. However, she also had her own difficulties. She needed to become stronger, to protect herself, and to survive in this apocalyptic world.

"Xiao Yutong, calm down." She tried to compose herself. "I didn't mean to harm you. I'm just collecting crystal cores to improve my strength. I know this might put pressure on you, but I really have no other choice."

"No other choice? Humph! You're a heartless animal!" Xiao Yutong cursed angrily. "You know we're fighting zombies here, yet instead of helping us, you're collecting crystal cores! Do you know that doing this will kill us all!"

Su Ling felt a pang of pain in her heart upon hearing this. She knew Xiao Yutong was right. Her actions could indeed kill Xiao Yutong and the others. However, she also had her own helplessness and difficulties. She needed to become stronger, protect herself, and survive in this apocalyptic world.

"Xiao Yutong, I..." She was about to explain when Xiao Yutong interrupted her.

"You don't need to say anything! I don't want to hear your explanation! I just want to know why you did this! Why did you hurt us!" Xiao Yutong roared, her voice filled with endless anger and resentment.

Su Ling's heart sank upon hearing this; she knew the misunderstanding was beyond repair. Watching Xiao Yutong and the others being besieged by zombies, an inexplicable rage surged within her. She controlled her little monster, charging into the zombie horde and unleashing a frenzied slaughter.

Under her control, the little monster charged into the zombie horde like a ferocious beast. Each swing of its longsword slashed down several zombies. Su Ling, in turn, wielded her own longsword, engaging in a desperate battle with the zombies.

Thanks to their combined efforts, the zombies were finally driven back. Xiao Yutong and the others were able to catch their breath. However, they were all seriously injured and exhausted.

“Su Ling…why…” Xiao Yutong looked at Su Ling with a complex expression in her eyes, “Why did you do this…”

“I have no other choice,” Su Ling said calmly. “I need to become stronger, I need to protect myself, and I need to survive in this apocalypse.”

"Go away," she said coldly. "We don't need your help. We just want you to stay away from us and stop hurting us."

The night was as dark as ink, and the apocalyptic wind, carrying a biting chill, raged across the desolate land. Su Ling, a woman whose soul was transported to this post-apocalyptic world after a car accident, had been struggling to survive on this land for over a month. She had not only adapted to the environment but also, in an accident, awakened the ability to control small monsters, gradually discovering that the crystal cores contained within the zombies were key to enhancing her powers.

That day, Su Ling was controlling a small monster as it wandered through the wilderness, searching for traces of zombies. Under her mental control, the monster was like a loyal hunting dog, keenly sensing the movements around it. Suddenly, a series of hurried footsteps broke the silence of the night, and Xiao Yutong and the others appeared in Su Ling's sight.

Xiao Yutong, dressed in ancient costume and wielding a long sword, stood tall and valiant; she was the captain of the base's patrol team. Behind her followed several team members, all dressed in uniform, their faces resolute. They were clearly also searching for something in this wilderness.

"Su Ling, you really are here!" Xiao Yutong's gaze was like lightning, instantly locking onto Su Ling. "That little monster next to you must have quite a few crystal cores inside, right?"

Upon hearing this, Su Ling's heart tightened. She knew that the crystal core Xiao Yutong mentioned was key to enhancing her abilities and crucial for her survival in this apocalyptic world. She wouldn't easily give up on a small fry, nor would she let Xiao Yutong and her group succeed.

"Xiao Yutong, what do you want to do?" Su Ling's tone was calm and firm, and her eyes revealed an undeniable determination.

"What do I want to do? Hmph! You know perfectly well what I'm asking!" Xiao Yutong sneered. "The crystal core inside the little monster beside you is a resource our base desperately needs. I want you to hand it over!"

"Hand it over? Hmph! Do you think I'm the kind of person who can be manipulated like this?" Su Ling's tone revealed sarcasm and dissatisfaction. "Let me tell you, this little monster is something I painstakingly raised, and its crystal core is extremely important to me. I won't easily hand it over to anyone!"

"Su Ling, don't go too far!" Xiao Yutong's tone revealed anger and threat. "You know the strength of our base. If you don't hand over the crystal core, you'll face the consequences!"

"Bear the consequences yourself? Hmph! I'd like to see just how strong your base really is!" Su Ling's tone was full of disdain and provocation. "Try and see if you can snatch this little monster from my hands!"

As she spoke, Su Ling's psychic abilities erupted instantly, an invisible force enveloping the little monster, making its movements more agile and its attacks more ferocious. At the same time, she was prepared to protect her little monster at all costs should Xiao Yutong and the others make a move.
