Boonie Bears: Another World Fantasy

Chapter 62 No regrets for swaying with you, fortunate to leave behind a smile.

The night I slept with you, I fell into a dream.

In my dream, time rewound to my childhood. One day, I was severely beaten by my father, and my heart was filled with pain and resentment. To escape this painful feeling, I ran wildly through the streets, as if only in this way could I forget that pain.

That day, the sky was overcast, and a light rain fell. Thick rain clouds covered the entire sky, yet through the gaps in the clouds, a few faint rays of light shone onto the earth. These rays of light were like beacons of hope, drawing me forward to chase them. I longed to escape this place that caused me so much pain, following those lights as if they could lead me to a new world.

I ran desperately along the road, with only one thought in my mind: I must catch up with those lights. Every step was filled with determination and resolve. Just when I felt I was about to reach that light, I found myself facing a steep cliff. The sunlight had already moved to the other side of the sky, seemingly mocking my efforts and perseverance.

However, at that moment, my mind was made up; I was determined to step into that light, no matter what. Without hesitation, I walked towards the edge of the cliff, my heart filled with anticipation and courage for the unknown. Because I firmly believed that what awaited me at that end was a brand new beginning and a bright future.

And you just happened to be there.

......

That night, I was immersed in a dream.

In my dream, time rewound to the day we first met. The morning sunlight filtered through the leaves, illuminating the entire forest. And you, lying there alone, like a lost little animal, lonely and helpless. Yet, it was you, lost as you, who helped me find meaning and purpose in life.

Since meeting you, I feel as if I've gained new strength and begun to throw myself wholeheartedly into my work. Whenever I put on my bright and beautiful clothes, I see smiles blooming on the faces of those around me. This sense of satisfaction allows me to happily persevere and continue to enthusiastically greet every customer. All of this is my own choice, not influenced or forced by others.

Even though I realized I had reached a point of no return, my heart was still filled with gratitude and happiness. Because without you, I might not have been able to truly love myself, nor could I have loved this world. You are the light in my life, illuminating my path forward and giving me endless warmth and hope.

I am grateful for the arrangement of fate that allowed me to meet you on my journey through life.

At this moment, you are immersed in a sweet dream, while I sit quietly beside you, gently holding your hand. Your hand is like a warm sun in the night, radiating a comforting warmth. That warmth, like ripples on water, spreads out from where our hands meet, forming layers of waves.

This wonderful feeling filled me with unparalleled happiness, yet also stirred within me a slight urge to break free. I was enveloped in bliss, but deep down I longed to escape it. However, now was not the time, for there were still so many things I hadn't said to you, so many sincere thanks and deep love I hadn't yet expressed.

At this moment, I gaze silently at your sleeping face, my heart overflowing with tenderness and affection. How I wish time could stand still, freezing this beautiful moment forever. But I know that time flows on relentlessly, and life will continue on its way. So, I will wait patiently until the right time to pour out my truest feelings to you. Then, I will tell you in person: Thank you for entering my life; I love you, and I hope to spend every day and night with you in the future.

......

Thunder roared, as if the whole world was trembling. Dark clouds gathered over the ravaged town, accompanied by flashes of lightning and thunder. Enraged, the massive cumulonimbus clouds unleashed their fury, relentlessly showering raindrops upon this shattered place.

The rain quickly gathered into rushing streams, cascading down from the dilapidated roof of the workshop. The icy droplets hit Sharp's face, gradually waking him up. Flocks of crows stood on the ruins, seemingly filled with curiosity about this strange human, tilting their heads to scrutinize him.

"Hey! Are you alright?" A figure in a firefighter's uniform appeared in front of Sharp, asking with concern and helping him up. Sharp tried moving his right arm and found everything was normal, with no signs of pain. However, an ominous premonition welled up in his heart.

No, that's impossible... Where is Naya?

Sharp's steps suddenly became heavy; he desperately hoped this was just a nightmare. But when his gaze fell upon the crowd gathered around him, his last glimmer of hope vanished. His eyes were empty and lifeless as he stared blankly ahead, as if he had lost his soul.

A group of people wearing raincoats were busy around Naya's body, carefully collecting items left at the scene. On the back of each of them, a large "V" was clearly printed.

“She…” Sharp murmured to himself, his voice so soft it was almost inaudible. His gaze remained fixed on Naya, as if simply looking at her would turn back time, back to before everything had happened.

The firefighter noticed Sharp's unusual behavior and asked softly, "What's wrong? Do you know her?" Sharp nodded silently, tears welling up in his eyes again, but he forced them back. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, but the pain in his heart surged like a tidal wave, overwhelming him.

“I heard from those people that she’s a member of the Deer Clan.” He said to Sharp, his eyes filled with doubt. “The first living Deer Clan member ever discovered in all of human history… How has she managed to survive until now?”

A shout suddenly came from afar: "Hey, you long-haired kid over there, come here!" Hearing this voice, Sharp slowly raised his head. It was the officer with the pompadour calling him. Sharp looked at the officer somewhat blankly, then staggered towards him, his eyes unfocused.

“Sorry, kid, but she’s really badly injured. We’ve done our best…” Chen Guangming’s tone carried a hint of apology, as if he felt guilty for his previous treatment of Naya and Sharp. However, Sharp at this moment didn’t care about the meaning behind these words at all. His mind was elsewhere, and he had no interest in them whatsoever.

Zhao Lin, receiving basic treatment beside an ambulance, looked around with worried and anxious eyes. When she saw Sharp standing not far away, a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes. Ignoring her wounds, she quickly sprang up from the stretcher and staggered towards him.

Zhao Lin carefully and attentively examined him from head to toe to make sure he was alright. When her fingers touched the wound on Sharp's face, she instinctively pulled them back, but quickly stroked the wound again, her eyes filled with heartache.

"Say something..." Zhao Lin pleaded, her voice trembling, rain streaming down her face. Her hair and shirt were already soaked, and she looked incredibly haggard and fragile, appearing exceptionally small in the crowded throng.

However, Sharp remained expressionless, his eyes cold and indifferent, seemingly oblivious to Zhao Lin's concern. He simply asked in a calm tone, "Where are Lefie and that man?"

Just then, Salta, who was helping to carry the stretcher, suddenly pushed his way forward, followed closely by a woman wearing thick glasses. Salta told Sharp with a serious expression, "They extracted the golden antlers from your body and then left."

Upon hearing the news, Sharp frowned slightly, but didn't show much surprise or anger. Beside him, Su Luo, through her rain-streaked glasses, watched Sharp with a pained expression. She bit her lip and whispered, "Please accept my condolences, Mr. Sharp."

Sharp swallowed hard, slowly raised his head, and stared at the gray, gloomy sky. At this moment, his longing for his sister surged like a tidal wave, an emotion he had never felt before.

He struggled through the crowded streets, walking alone towards the end of the road. Every step he took carried an immense weight of sorrow and grief.

“Sharp…” Zhao Lin tried to catch up, but Salta held her hand tightly. Salta silently watched Sharp’s receding figure, her eyes filled with deep thought and reminiscence.

He'll figure it out.

Time seemed to freeze at that moment, and everything around became blurred. Only Sharp's lonely figure gradually disappeared into the distance, leaving behind a silence and emptiness.

……

In the enchanted forest.

Withered branches and fallen leaves covered the lifeless land, like a thick blanket. Looking around, the twisted and ugly trees resembled a group of freaks, standing there menacingly, sending chills down one's spine.

Suddenly, a dazzling golden light pierced through the clouds, shining directly onto the earth. This mysterious light brought a glimmer of life to this deathly silent place. And at that moment, the figures of Mus and Lefie gradually appeared in the open space.

"What are we doing here?" Lefie asked, frowning and looking puzzled.

Mus didn't answer; he simply opened his palms silently. In an instant, a powerful energy erupted from his body, the golden light growing ever more dazzling. As the light surged, it gradually materialized into a pair of enormous deer antlers.

Mus stared intently at the shimmering golden antlers before him, his gaze focused, and said in a low voice, "Reassemble her."

Lefebvre looked at the pair of golden antlers, a wave of hesitation washing over her. She muttered discontentedly, "Why? Don't you think she's troublesome enough as she is?"

"If you still want to achieve your arrogant and presumptuous wishes, then do as I say right now." Muss's voice carried an unquestionable authority.

Lefie snorted, but still waved her arm helplessly. As she moved, the surrounding air began to fluctuate violently, and mysterious runes emerged from the void, swirling around the golden antlers.

A moment later, as if activated, the runes merged into the golden antlers. Instantly, the entire space shone with dazzling light, forming a giant cocoon of light. At the center of the cocoon, a blurry figure could be faintly seen gradually becoming clearer…

In the midst of chaos, cells began their life journey. They continuously divided and multiplied, gradually coalescing into tiny blood vessels, like miniature rivers flowing through this mysterious realm.

Over time, the arteries, like flexible snakes, coil around the heart, becoming inextricably linked to it. Each heartbeat is accompanied by a surge of blood; this red fluid, like a messenger of life, rapidly spreads throughout the body's meridians, bringing vitality and life to every organ.

Finally, a body that had begun to resemble a human appeared before them. Fair skin, like soft silk, gently enveloped her delicate flesh. At that moment, the girl slowly opened her eyes, letting out a soft moan: "Mmm..."

It was a feeling both strange and familiar. She tried to touch the world around her, but found her body still very weak. She tried to recall what had happened before, but her mind was filled with only blurry and chaotic images.

Looking at her naked body, Lefève couldn't help but sneer, secretly anticipating how Moose would react. However, Moose's gaze didn't linger on her; he was completely unconcerned about the scene before him.

“Give her a piece of clothing.” Mus’s voice was calm, without the slightest hesitation or wavering. Seeing this, Lefie’s lips curled up slightly, revealing a sly smile.

“I knew it. Putting aside all those outdated formalities, you still can't bear to part with the apprentice you personally trained,” Lefie said sarcastically, seemingly having anticipated Mus's decision. After exchanging pleasantries, Lefie pulled out a close-fitting garment from behind his back, similar to his combat suit. This garment resembled a specially designed diving suit, exquisitely crafted and conforming to the body's contours. Its primary function was to maintain a constant temperature, ensuring the soldier's comfort even in extreme environments. Simultaneously, this design prevented excess fabric from hindering the soldier's movement and agility during combat.

The girl, with her hair disheveled and her eyes darting around in a daze, gazed at Mus and Lefie.

Mus bent down and carefully handed the clothes to the young woman, gesturing for her to put them on.

“You should understand that the golden antlers cannot truly bring the dead back to life; they only create a puppet that is exactly the same as that person.” Lefie turned and walked aside, unwilling to witness the intimate behavior between Mus and the little puppet any longer.

The girl quickly dressed and struggled to stand up, but her legs were too weak to support her weight. Just as she was about to fall, Mus reached out and caught her.

"Why, why did you have to follow your sister's example?" He stood high above, looking down at the girl before him, his eyes filled with endless pity, as if questioning a question that would never be answered. "You two sisters were both elites I personally nurtured, but in the end, neither of you could escape the fate of betrayal. You both betrayed me, betrayed the entire Deer Clan..." Mus murmured to himself, gently placing his hand on the girl's slender neck and stroking it back and forth, as if he could easily sever this fragile lifeline at any moment if he wanted to.

At this moment, the newborn girl couldn't understand the deeper meaning behind the man's words. She simply blinked her innocent eyes, gazing quietly at him. Looking into her pure, watery eyes, Mus felt a surge of inexplicable emotion: "From today onward, you are no longer that unknown little girl. You have a brand new name of your own—" He paused.

"Naya".

The girl's eyes lowered slightly; the name stirred a faint, elusive fragment of memory deep within her. However, she had no way of knowing what tragic fate had befallen the person who once bore that name. She instinctively clenched her fists, as if trying to grasp at that fleeting feeling.

Mus crossed his arms and gazed silently at the unique girl standing in the desolate place, a rare genuine smile appearing on his face.

"Go and replace her. You have the ability to become someone even better than her."
