Boonie Bears: Another World Fantasy
Chapter 32 Production Line
The night was as dark as ink, and the neon lights flickered in the distance, all of which reflected the desolation and decay of the city center.
"So, that Xiao Junyao is no ordinary person."
"Yeah."
The fallen angel stood on the edge of the rooftop of a tall building, her entire being immersed in invisible darkness. Her supple curves were tightly wrapped in a black, glossy bodysuit designed for stealth.
Her gaze sharpened as she scanned the area below. Her heart pounded in her chest, each beat a harbinger of the impending battle.
“We can’t find this person anywhere, Miss.” Carl’s voice came through the earpiece. “The company’s records of her information are fabricated.”
"What……"
Just when one problem seemed to be resolved, another arose, and at a crucial moment, Xiao Junyao appeared. This made the already chaotic situation even more complicated.
"Karl, send someone to follow Peng Fei. I'm not entirely at ease with him..."
"As you wish, Miss."
The fallen angel nodded. Under her gaze, several heavily armed SUVs parked beside the Shenzhen Theater, which was undergoing reconstruction. A truck came into view.
"Any plans?"
"Without a plan, our operation would have been exposed long ago."
"You can't just rush in like that," the old butler said with concern.
She put on night vision goggles and began scanning the group of bodyguards who filed out one by one.
There were about thirty people.
They were divided into three teams. One team was positioned on the perimeter, one team was on the first floor of the theater, and the last team was in a window-side booth on the second floor.
"Specific distribution locations?"
"It's already been sent to you, miss."
This group seemed unprofessional; although everyone was clearly equipped with a pistol, no one appeared to be carrying heavy weapons.
"I think this is a trap."
"She's waiting for you."
Karl's concerns were not unfounded. Xiao Junyao was manipulating everything in secret, and considering what she had just said, this was undoubtedly a trap.
“But I need the purified sample from Purple Star,” the Fallen Angel said in a low voice.
"An Han couldn't do these things, but I can now..."
“Anhan doesn’t have to resort to extreme methods to get it.” Even at this point, Karl was still trying to dissuade her in his own way.
"It's no use saying anything now, Karl," she coldly refused.
Through the night vision goggles, two new faces were clearly visible in the second-floor cubicle, seemingly arguing about something.
The opportunity is here.
Taking advantage of the rain shower, she lightly leaped off the roof, like a cat roaming the night.
......
"What exactly is going on? Why was the handover time suddenly moved up so much?"
The contact person from V Group was clearly not happy. He put his hands on his hips and glared at the person in charge of the handover at Sunset.
"Also, wasn't Miss Xiao supposed to be coming?"
She said she would be a few minutes late.
"Humph--"
The two sides had a falling out over the premature handover, making the already tense atmosphere even more unbearable.
The dim overhead light swayed in the wind, emitting an eerie "squeaking" sound.
"We can't let this drag on any longer. If the patrol finds us, the consequences will be unimaginable." The Sunset leader looked anxiously out the window. The pitter-patter of the rain was like a death knell.
"Without seeing Miss Xiao, this batch of purified Purple Star cannot be delivered. This is our boss's condition."
"You will kill everyone here."
A few words exchanged quickly escalated the tension, with both sides trying to break the deadlock. The person in charge of Sunset simply quit.
"So you're just going to stay here and waste time? Are all the people in your V Group this inflexible?"
"Boom!"
Lightning flashed and thunder roared outside the window, illuminating everything in the cubicle in a stark white light and casting a strange silhouette.
"Who?!"
The only response to the two was the shattered overhead light and the darkness that followed.
Several bodyguards tried to approach the window.
"There is an intruder!"
Those closest to the window were the first to be knocked down by the shockwave, debris flying everywhere, along with the black shadow that swept past at high speed.
The woman then kicked over several bodyguards who were about to jump out, knocking them down one by one, and picked up the gun that had fallen to the ground.
The dark muzzle of a gun was pointed at the forehead of the person in charge of Sunset, and he didn't even have time to react.
Above the black tactical mask were her dark eyes.
"Please... don't shoot..."
Meanwhile, the other contact, who had just been arguing with him, was trying to sneak out through the main door of the attic. However, he was hit on the back of the head by a heavy object thrown by the fallen angel and passed out on the spot.
Seeing this, he, who was paralyzed on the ground, felt even more that disaster was about to befall him.
She grabbed the coward by the collar and slammed him against the wall.
"Who gave you permission to sell the Purple Star without authorization?" the fallen angel demanded sharply. His voice sounded exactly like the tormenting voice coming from hell.
"Yes... I can't say."
A gunshot rang out. It struck the wall a few centimeters to the side of his head.
The person in charge was so frightened that he started dancing around.
"Watch out, they're coming up."
The sound interrupted the fallen angel's plan to continue the interrogation, and he turned to face the bodyguards on the first floor who were breaking down the door.
The person in charge was bound by ropes, his mouth was gagged, and he struggled in terror.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"
The moment the door was blasted open, the time bomb that had been planted in the wooden floor also exploded.
The first few bodyguards fell into the large hole leading to the first floor like headless flies.
"It's here!"
Instantly, the small room was filled with the sound of gunfire, the blinding flashes of gunfire rising and falling.
Taking advantage of a few seconds of darkness, the fallen angel, who had been lurking on the ceiling, gently descended to the ground. With a nimble forward roll, it swiftly knocked the gun out of the first person's hand.
She pulled out a brass knuckle duster from her lower back and smashed it towards the man's face.
Amidst chaotic screams, he stumbled and rolled down to the first floor, clutching his broken nose.
After a round of shooting, the bodyguards threw away their empty guns and pounced.
"You have no advantage in close combat, go down to the first floor."
She dodged the long sword that was slashing at her, maintaining a proper distance from them.
That's easy for you to say...
She took the opportunity to throw out a few smoke grenades, which rolled into the middle of the crowd with wisps of smoke. The rising smoke enveloped the area.
Where did it go?
"Report your location!"
They heard muffled thuds of people falling around them, which filled them with a sense of panic, as they were enveloped in smoke, and felt dominated by the unknown.
The fallen angel swiftly dispatched several people on the edge of the group. Like a ghost roaming the land, she had no intention of letting anyone escape.
She took down the remaining men one by one. One bodyguard was hooked by the ankle with a grappling hook, hanging upside down. Two other men were grabbed by the head and slammed together by hands that silently emerged from the smoke, both falling unconscious. Another man was hit by a heavy punch and collapsed to the ground.
"Hey, I'm here."
Another punch, delivered with brass knuckles; such a full-force strike would be enough to give an adult a concussion. But she didn't go too far. Because fallen angels don't kill indiscriminately.
As the smoke dissipated through the vents, the bodyguards, sprawled on the ground, groaned in pain. She ignored them, stepped over them, and returned to the poor Sunset manager.
"Have you thought about how to answer my question?" She stood proudly in front of him, a fierce glint in her angry eyes.
"It's...it's the chairman of Sunset!" The person in charge cried out in fear.
"He distributed some documents related to Zixing to the relevant departments and then told us to do as he said..."
Where is Zixing's production line located?
It seemed the issue had reached a breaking point, for the person in charge actually shut up and shook his head, trembling.
"I can't say, if I do, I'm finished—"
Seeing that threats were ineffective, the fallen angels decisively chose to use some unconventional methods.
The serrated steel heel of the over-the-knee boots stepped mercilessly on his wrist.
The person in charge, in pain, shouted:
"Yes, at V Group headquarters!"
