Boonie Bears: Another World Fantasy

Chapter 19 The Dominator (Part 1)

"You talk too much."

Sharp never imagined that the platypus beneath him would talk so much.

It chattered on and on, going on and on about everything from the astronomy of the magical forest to geography, from sunrise to sunset, as if afraid that no one would know.

"Wow, buddy, didn't you say anything?"

Bored, Sharp fiddled with the "pineapple" hanging on its body and muttered something. The platypus stretched its neck and kept sniffing the lingering scent.

"You said I'd help you find Naya, and then you'd help me groom my fur," the platypus confirmed again.

“Of course,” Sharp readily agreed. He didn’t care about grooming his fur; his real fear was that without Naya, he wouldn’t survive more than two days in this forest.

Why did I have to be so stupid and drive her away?

Just as he was thinking this, the platypus beneath him began to bounce up and down like a pirate ship.

"Hey hey hey?!" Sharp hurriedly grabbed the long fur on its back.

"We've arrived at Lumu Valley."

The platypus spread its limbs and galloped off like a small car. Meanwhile, Sharp kept his eyes fixed on what lay ahead.

The woods gradually thinned out, and not far away was a rare large clearing surrounded by low bushes, with a large, collapsed stone platform in the center.

Looking at the valley with its many ravines and gullies, Sharp found it hard to imagine what had happened here before.

"Don't lie to me..." he muttered as he struggled to get off it.

The weeds here are almost as tall as Sharp's waist, but they grow exceptionally neatly, like ripe rice ears, their pale yellow stalks swaying slightly and bending in the wind.

It's like being in a bright yellow ocean.

The platypus didn't follow him inside; it obediently lay down in the grove of trees.

Sharp glanced back uncertainly.

The platypus raised its head, indicating that she was inside.

Brother, our meeting is no coincidence. Naya sent me because she was worried about you.

Naya doesn't want you to see her vulnerable.

But in the end, it never revealed the truth. For over twenty years in this forest, it watched the girl grow from an innocent little girl into a capable guardian of the forest. She was the totem of this forest, a traveler in the darkness.

The Jungle Book's success today is inseparable from her.

As he passed through clumps of grass, Sharp's skin was scratched by the sharp leaves, drawing blood. But he paid no heed to this, his pace undiminished.

His steps grew heavier, and with each step, Sharp felt as if he had used up every last bit of strength in his body.

He had searched almost the entire forest in search of her, and hadn't slept all night.

"Crack!"

Sure enough, near the large, hand-polished foundation stone, came the sound of chopping.

Someone is chopping wood.

Sharp was secretly pleased, but he also acted cautiously. He quickly hid behind a pile of pebbles, secretly observing her.

She raised her axe high and chopped it down on the prepared wooden stakes, instantly splitting the logs in two, sending splinters flying everywhere. The beads on her side-swept bangs also danced up and down in the air.

Despite beads of sweat on her forehead, she showed no sign of relaxing and mechanically repeated the same movements.

Arrange them neatly, then split them open.

So back and forth.

She's such a strong-willed girl.

Sharp subconsciously touched his pocket and realized that the chocolates he had brought had been eaten up the night before.

Not good.

Do we have no choice but to bite the bullet and go for it?

He looked slightly anxious; the side effects of his social anxiety were amplified at this moment. How would she respond? Would she become even more annoyed, or continue to be angry?

For Sharp, understanding the psychological activities of the opposite sex is like drawing a gamble – it's all about guessing and gambling.

Ha, Sharp, if you can't even get past this hurdle, how are you going to survive here in the future?

He wasn't sure if it was the whisper of that false god or just his own inner monologue; he'd been hearing these voices inexplicably lately.

What are you afraid of? It's just an apology!

"Okay," he kept reassuring himself. "It's just a small apology; I can handle it."

Sharp slowly stood up and said:

“Na…”

Before she finished speaking, she turned around as if she had foreseen it all along.

"?"

The moment he saw her face clearly, he was so stunned that he swallowed the rest of his words.

Who are you?

The woman before him was clearly not like Naya. Although she had similar features on her face, Naya's were obviously more complex and dignified.

"Who are you?" he asked somewhat timidly.

Sharp remembered that Naya said there were no other deer people here, so how do you explain this person in front of him?

The woman leaned the axe against the log and slowly walked towards him. Her attire was similar to Naya's usual clothing, making it almost impossible for Sharp to tell the two apart from behind.

"Hey, what are you doing—"

Suddenly, she pounced on him and pinned Sharp down, who couldn't dodge in time.

"Um......"

She inhaled Sharp's distinctive scent with ecstasy, then, disregarding her image, stuck out her tongue and licked his neck like a hungry fox.

Completely bewildered by this sudden turn of events, he found himself unable to move by the time he realized what was happening.

"Not bad, kid." The woman licked her lips contentedly, revealing a set of exaggeratedly sharp teeth. Sharp wasn't sure if that counted as a smile, but his head was spinning. Was his first time about to be taken by this beast-like woman?

"Wow—" He struggled desperately, but his hands and feet were paralyzed as if he had been anesthetized.

"What...what did you do?"

Thinking about how she had shamelessly licked his neck just now, a tingling sensation began to spread throughout his body.

Seeing Sharp's disgusted expression, the woman became a little annoyed, raised one foot, and stepped on his chest with a wicked grin.

"Little brother, it's been so long since I've seen a living man..." Her eyes glowed red as she let out a sickly laugh.

"Are you Venom?" he retorted.

And what about the platypus? Did they deliberately bring him here? He looked around desperately, trying to find any usable weapon.

Damn it, I still can't move my body.

The woman seemed to have thought of something again, and her giggling stopped.

"Hmm...how about—" Her claw-like nails scratched across Sharp's face, causing him pain.

"You're looking for her too, right? You saw how much I look like her and came over without a second thought..."

"What did you do?!" he roared.

Hearing that the other person's tone was off, Sharp worried that something bad might have happened to Naya.

"Oh dear, so you've come to see Naya after all."

The woman's face beamed with smug satisfaction at having guessed the other's thoughts. Then, countless silvery-white threads extended from behind her, each thread moving with the movement of her fingers.

"Come be my doll—"

She whispered in her prey's ear.

"As long as you're here, she'll come back."

Sharp watched helplessly as the leech-like threads slithered into his body, the stinging pain almost shattering him completely.

Have you ever had a colonoscopy?

It's that feeling of being worse than dead.

"Bastard, let me go, or else... mmm."

Bundles of threads began to erode everything in Sharp's mind, and he gradually realized that she seemed to want to spy on his consciousness.

If it were discovered that I was a time traveler, wouldn't the consequences be unimaginable?

"Let me see your little secret..."

"Sharp".
