I was transported from Lobotomy Corporation to another world.

Chapter 63 Living in Past Misunderstandings...

Reed walked back into the street, the bloodstains on his body lessened.

But the pedestrians still avoided Red and dared not approach him. Red was thinking about how to find the mayor.

Reed thought he should ask Anlisa if they could just wander around the original route.

Sure enough, I saw Anlisa running.

“I know where they are,” Reed said to Anlisa.

Anlisa turned around instinctively upon hearing the sound and saw Reed in the distance.

As he approached Red, about to speak, he noticed the bloodstains on Red's body.

"What's with the blood on you? And how did you know?"

Reed stated bluntly, "I tracked them down to their nest, went in, and killed them all. The last one left told me."

"To be honest, they wasted my time, and why should I go and save those two women? I haven't even received my payment yet."

[Grabbing Rhett's collar]

"What do you mean by compensation! Have you lost your conscience?! They gave you shelter! They wanted you to have a stable life! And they've treated you pretty well, haven't they?!"

"How could you be so cold-blooded and heartless as to say that! Why did you save them! You wouldn't even say their names! Instead, you referred to them as '[two women]'!"

Anlisa grabbed Reid's collar angrily, glaring at him. She reached out to tear off the bandages from Reid's eyes.

But it was no use; the bandage remained stuck there.

Anlisa released Reid's collar, panting heavily.

Reed seemed to have just used the word "slaughter," and given the bloodstains on his clothes, it's likely he killed all those people...

Another murder... Although that kind of person deserves to die, but...

"Redner, don't you really feel any guilt?"

Reid's voice remained calm as he stated directly, "Why would someone feel guilty after they die? I don't understand these things, and I'm too lazy to think about them."

"I don't care about guilt, nor do I care what happens when they die. They're just dead people; there are other people in the world."

Red didn't care; to him, a dead person was dead, and what happened afterward was none of his business.

It was like this before, and it's still like this now. Reed feels he doesn't need to change anything; he just wants things to stay the way they were before...

1. [Make no changes, go back to the way things were]

2. [Make no changes, go back to the way things were]

[Red made a choice... It's better to be the person I used to be... I didn't want to change anything.]

[Ryd wasn't listening to Anlisa, pretending it was just going in one ear and out the other...]

Seeing that she couldn't persuade Reed, Anlisa swallowed her words again, because there were more important things to do.

Anlisa said in a noticeably cold tone, "I'll give you more money after you've rescued them!"

"Okay, now tell me, where are they now?"

Reid said, "The man I buried underground said the two women were taken to the mayor."

Anlisa's mouth dropped open in disbelief. "No! The mayor is clearly a very good person! When the bridge not far from the town entrance collapsed, the mayor had it repaired immediately."

"Okay, I don't know what you think, but I think he's a hypocrite. There are a lot of people like that in the city."

Anlisa heard a new word in the conversation and asked, "Hypocrite...maybe, but what is this 'city' you're talking about?"

Reed paused for a few seconds before saying, "Nothing, so how do we find the mayor?"

Reed deliberately changed the subject, and Anlisa didn't dwell on the "city" Reed mentioned for too long.

Anlisa later asked Reid why the mayor needed Rena and Alice.

Reed shook his head, indicating he didn't know, and felt he didn't need to know; all he needed to do was rescue the person.

An Lisa felt very puzzled. She had already labeled this so-called good mayor a hypocrite in her mind, but why would the mayor do this?

What is the mayor planning to do? Why does he have one righteous face and the other evil one?

Anlisa thought about it more and more and felt that there was a big problem. This didn't seem to be about a mayor falling into greed for money or a rebellion against the government; it was about women.

Rather, it was for something far more evil than any of those things. If it were truly for those things, the mayor wouldn't have remained hidden for so long.

The fact that the mayor could disguise himself so well shows that his ambitions are far greater than they appear!

This is a small conclusion Anlisa has drawn: Currently, all she knows is that the mayor is a hypocrite and has enormous ambitions, but why? Anlisa can't figure it out.

Anlisa shook her head after thinking about it and said to Reid, "The mayor's house is in the center of this town. We can find it as long as we look at the map and get to the center of the town."

Neither of them had a map with them, so it seems they'll need to buy one first. Hopefully, they're both still alive and well...

[New Quest: Purchase a Map of Gothic Town]

The two needed to speed up; every second they delayed increased the danger to Alice and Rena!

Just as Anlisa was about to start running to find the nearest store...

Red suddenly said, "Climb onto my back, I'll carry you." Red then squatted down.

(゜ロ゜) An Lisa exclaimed, "Huh?" and asked in confusion, "Why?"

Reed started his typical straight-man speech: "You're too slow, you're holding me back. I'm much faster than you."

Anlisa hardened, and her fist hardened!

But I agreed anyway; there's no other way to save time.

Anlisa climbed onto Reed's back and lay down on him.

Two hands gripped Reed's shoulders, and although somewhat unwilling, her legs locked around Reed's waist.

It was Anlisha's first time riding on a boy's back, and she was a little shy.

Reed stood up, and as soon as he did, he felt something pressing down on his back.

"Something's pressing on my back..." Reed instinctively reached out to grab his back.

Anlisa's eyes were fixed on the spot where Reed was about to grab.

Her face immediately turned bright red! That spot was right there on her chest!

ヽ(≧Д≦)ノ "You bastard Redner! Don't you dare reach over there! Aaaaaah!!"

(′-w-`) "Why? But something is pressing down on me."

<(`^′)> "No reason! I'm in a hurry! And don't ask anymore!"

After the two bought the map, Reed still didn't know what the two soft things pressing against his back were.

Anlisa, on the other hand, acted rather strangely. As soon as she got off his back, she covered her chest. Reed thought she was probably afraid of having her money stolen.

Anlisa held the map in her hand, feeling utterly humiliated along the way.

Countless people stared at her along the way! If Anlisa hadn't had her legs locked around Reed's waist...

If your feet were flat on the ground, you could dig out a three-bedroom apartment from there! How embarrassing!

So, in addition to buying a map of the town, Anlisa also bought a cloth to cover her face.

Although Anlisa knew she could ride in a carriage, Reed's speed was clearly faster than that of a carriage.

Among the carriages along the way, there were other carriages, requiring us to make frequent detours and stops, which wasted a lot of time.

Anlisha could only swallow her shame and buy a cloth to cover her face.

As long as a person cannot see their own face, they will not know who they are!
