Reed walked slowly, slashing at anyone he saw, blood splattering onto his clothes, making them sticky.

"Don't kill me! I did this for my mom! They threatened her, I had no choice..."

Before the man could finish speaking, Reed cleaved him in two with a single stroke, but Reed remained remarkably calm.

The entire basement was filled with screams, and the stairwell was blocked by Reed with tables and other clutter.

Some tried to ambush him, but Red dodged them all; others tried to escape, but there was no way to get away.

Reed felt he should find their leader himself, since he had been wandering around for quite a while without seeing Alice and Rena.

Reed just grabbed someone and questioned him. That person only said the two women were still alive, but when asked where they were, the person refused to say.

Reid had no choice but to kill him; even asking others yielded the same result—they wouldn't reveal a single clue.

Reed saw a door, raised his foot, and kicked it open.

The door, along with the groceries blocking it, flew out of the room, and the people inside were horrified when they saw it.

Several people took up arms to fight back, but none were a match for Red.

The resistance has ceased; all that remains are trembling in fear.

With each step Red took, he left a bright red footprint.

One of the burly men suddenly knelt down and begged Reed, "Please! You can kill me! But please spare my wife and children!"

After listening, Reed noticed that in the corner, a woman and a child were huddled together, trembling.

"Mommy! Waaaaah! I don't want to die! Mommy!"

The child's mother and the burly man knelt down together, pleading for their release.

"Bang!" A pickaxe flew past and struck the head of the tear-streaked child.

A woman and a man stared wide-eyed, overwhelmed by a surge of sadness. People can't cry when they're in extreme grief.

That's their current situation.

"Son!!" the burly man roared, scrambling to his feet and charging towards Reed.

"Old Liu! You damn devil! I'll fight you to the death!"

"Give him back his child!"

The others were also enraged and charged at Reed.

Reed raised his hand and killed two, then punched the remaining one to pieces.

Reed shook the blood off his hands and calmly muttered to himself, "Much quieter now."

Red killed the child because he was too noisy and getting in his way, so he killed him.

Red approached the mother who was holding her child and whose eyes were vacant.

He crouched down, stared at the other person, and asked him in a calm tone.

"Where are those two women? I need to find them."

His tone was eerily calm, as if he hadn't done anything at all.

The room was covered in blood, yet this person could act as if nothing had happened and ask her questions?

Seeing that the woman was ignoring him, Reed grabbed her hair with one hand and dragged her outside.

The woman frantically scratched at Reed with her nails, but Reed reached out and grabbed her arm, twisting it sharply.

"Ahhhhh!!"

After threatening the woman with a knife proved ineffective, and seeing that he couldn't get any information out of her, Red didn't hesitate to slit his own throat.

Reed looked towards the last room and slowly walked over.

"Please, please let me in! I don't want to die!" A man knelt outside the last door, crying and begging for help.

But the door wouldn't open at all...

Reed walked over, raised his knife, and prepared to end him.

Just as the broadsword was about to pierce the other man's neck, Reed suddenly remembered something Anlisa had once said.

"Redner! You come back here! Your indifference will only ruin you sooner or later!"

The voice only flashed through his mind briefly before Reed's knife still struck the man's neck.

Reed replied to the voice, thinking, (So what? I don't need to worry unnecessarily, because it's annoying.)

Red basically killed everyone in the basement; even those who survived would likely have suffered a mental breakdown.

So there was only one room left, and Reed kicked the door open.

He carried the large sword inside, only to find that there was no one there.

No, it's hiding behind the cabinet.

Reed kicked over some cabinets and other furniture, and sure enough, there were people hiding inside.

There were only ten people in the room.

All ten people were too scared to speak, and they couldn't even shed a tear because they were so terrified.

Reed grabbed someone at random and asked, "Which one of you is your leader?"

The man stammered in a trembling voice, "Th-th-th-that...that! That!" He pointed...

Reed looked in the direction the man was pointing and observed for a moment.

His pants were half-wet from being scared, and his clothes were noticeably better looking and more imposing than the others.

But if you remove the excess fat, you'll look impressive; not particularly fat, but rather slightly overweight.

Reed first killed the man he was holding, then kicked down the person blocking his way.

He approached their leader and asked, "Were those two girls the one you kidnapped?"

"Huh?" A question mark appeared above Reed's head.

The leader continued to explain, "No, no, no! I didn't give them to the mayor! The mayor threatened and ordered me to tie up two women for him!"

This is a lot of information! Reed's CPU almost burned out; it wasn't capable of handling this kind of complex stuff to begin with.

But Reed persisted, continuing to ask, "Why don't your men tell you?"

Reed had a lingering question: these people were terrified of him; even the most stubborn person would vomit up everything they ate in that state.

But it's very strange that they don't say anything at all, they don't reveal anything!

The leader said, "Because we were silenced by a spell! We didn't even know when we were afflicted! By the time we realized it, we couldn't fight back!"

Reed asked, "Who did it?"

The leader said, "It's that damn mayor! I used to be just a nobody! I was tricked into coming here by that damn mayor to become some kind of gang leader! My other brothers were tricked into coming here too!"

"If we resist, if we don't do as he says, if we try to trick or beat people up! That damned mayor... he's saying he's here to wipe us out for the sake of peace in the town!"

Reid was a little skeptical of what the leader was saying and asked, "If you were under that spell, why are you unharmed?"

Reed responded with an "oh" and looked at the others in the room.

Reed picked up his greatsword and killed everyone except the leader...

The leader hid in the corner, too scared to speak, and wet his pants again.

Red stepped out of the room and kicked away the clutter blocking the stairwell.

Stepping out of the stairwell, leaving behind that blood-soaked place, I smelled fresh air.

Reed took a deep breath, then shook his blood-soaked body as he reached the ground.

He put away the large sword and looked at a large, abandoned cabinet next to him.

Reed picked up the entire cabinet and used it to block the stairwell.

I just said I wouldn't kill him, I didn't say I couldn't block the exit.

Reed cracked his neck, preparing to settle accounts with that good mayor.

He suddenly stopped as he started to walk...

"Oh...I don't think I know where the mayor is..."
