Chapter 82 The Deflection Spell That No One Can Learn
“Of course, Voldemort!” Sue replied. “You enrolled two years after our class, right?”
“Yes, Professor,” Dumbledore replied.
“Diggory Valley was indeed not greatly affected. Back then, Lukwood and Lanlock’s activities were mainly concentrated in Hogwarts Ridge, the coast of Birdhill, and the vicinity of Craigmore Coast,” Sue said, listing three place names.
“You are eight years younger than me, Dumbledore, which means you didn’t really experience my time.”
However, to be precise, I still have to ask how many elite wizards Voldemort had under his command?
"The core kind, not the weaklings who'd run away if a fight broke out," Suer asked.
“More than 30,” Snape replied, adding, perhaps to make his statement more believable, “I was one of them.”
“Hmm~” Sue chuckled. “It’s not that I’m mocking Voldemort, but he would only be a captain under Lukewood. Lukewood is actually a legendary wizard when he gets really tough. He can cast all spells silently, and the three Unforgivable Curses are his specialties, especially the Killing Curse, which is as thick as a telephone pole.”
As he spoke, Sue looked at Dumbledore again, "You failed to kill Voldemort? My dear student?"
"I'm sorry, perhaps not. There were some rumors about Voldemort before, so I'm not entirely sure." Dumbledore was under immense pressure, and sweat was pouring down his forehead, which was quite a challenge for an elderly man.
Sue casually beckoned a chair and placed it behind Dumbledore. "Sit down. How many spells can you cast without a wand or a sound, like I just did?"
"Not many, just a few, the knockback spell is the best used." Dumbledore answered somewhat awkwardly. Sue's question made him feel like he was being checked on his homework, and he had only written a few multiple-choice questions.
“Oh~” Suer sighed, “Then what about silent? All magic should be able to be cast silently, not counting those obscure spells.”
"Just as you said, only... a very few cannot be performed silently."
Seeing Dumbledore's somewhat hesitant manner, Sue roughly understood the situation. "Alright, that's not bad either. After all, I can't hold you to the same standards I hold myself to. But ultimately, I'm a little disappointed. I feel you've become somewhat complacent, the greatest white wizard in history?"
When Sue said this, Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape had very interesting expressions on their faces. It was the first time they had ever seen Headmaster Dumbledore being reprimanded like this.
"I'm sorry, but I felt relieved after seeing you. With you here to protect Harry, even if Voldemort were to resurrect, it wouldn't matter much, since I am indeed old now." Dumbledore, being old and thick-skinned, quickly forgot his shame and tactfully expressed his request.
"Resurrection? Let me test you. If a person dies, how can they be resurrected?"
Sue posed the question, and Dumbledore began to ponder, "Hordeal!"
Suer clapped his hands and said, "Yes, that's right. It seems you haven't reached the point of dementia yet. Apart from me, there shouldn't be anyone else who can directly cast a spell to resurrect someone."
However, resurrection can also be achieved using Horcruxes. Voldemort was probably only able to revive himself through this method after you defeated him.
Then you wait for Voldemort to appear, then find his Horcrux, and then kill him once or several more times. People of the present have their own responsibilities. Don't leave things to children and then say you believe in the wisdom of future generations.
That's not good, Dumbledore. Harry is just a little kid. Do you expect him to beat Voldemort?
"Come on, what kind of savior is this? I wouldn't even dare say I could defeat a dark wizard when I was a baby."
“But Harry did kill Voldemort with the Killing Curse, even though it was love magic,” McGonagall suddenly said.
Sue looked at Dumbledore with an expression that said, "You're the one who needs to explain."
“I’m sorry, I deceived you with my previous words.” Dumbledore sighed. “That magic has nothing to do with love. The Guardian suddenly found me and taught me that magic.”
Since no one could possibly learn that magic, the Guardian modified it, making it a spell that could be sustained by bloodline, and added a defensive counterattack mechanism to it.
"I always thought it was a miracle of love that blocked the Killing Curse." Professor McGonagall was momentarily stunned upon hearing Dumbledore's explanation; after all, the news was too explosive.
"What kind of magic is that? Why can't I learn it?" Snape's body trembled slightly. If only Lily could learn this spell, she wouldn't have died.
Of course, it doesn't matter whether you learn it or not.
“I don’t know why. I asked the Guardian myself.” Dumbledore replied, “She said the Deflection Charm is not ordinary magic. Although the principle is easy to understand, it just cannot be cast. Apart from the creator of this spell, only Your Excellency the Guardian has learned this spell.”
"Who is it?" Snape asked impatiently. He wanted to know who created this magical spell. He would do anything to obtain it.
Dumbledore didn't speak, but looked at Sue.
"Yes, it was me, but this deflection spell should be easy to learn. It's not even an ancient spell, so why is it that no one but Anna and I can learn it?"
This left Suer completely baffled. He hadn't set any barriers to learning the Deflection Spell, so why couldn't others learn it?
After thinking about it, Suer felt that if he couldn't learn the Deflection Spell, it must be someone else's problem. The Deflection Spell had been this difficult to learn for so long, and those who couldn't learn it should reflect on why they couldn't learn it.
Is it because I haven't read enough books?
Isn't this too materialistic?
Is it because I'm not smart enough?
Seeing Snape's expectant face, Sue said directly, "Don't even think about it, you have no hope, you slick-haired guy. As for Dumbledore, I'll grant your request and reluctantly act as your babysitter for once, considering you're getting old and don't have many years left."
……
"Dear students, unfortunately you are late, five points will be deducted from each of you."
The next day, Sue caught Ron and Harry outside the Transfiguration classroom.
Since Sue couldn't actually be attending classes, Dumbledore gave her a convenient identity—the sole disciplinary committee member of the disciplinary committee.
With this position, Suer could wander around all day as a student without arousing suspicion.
The students inside the classroom also craned their necks out curiously, trying hard to see what was happening outside.
dong dong!
"Don't look out. This is the disciplinary committee checking for tardiness. If you violate the rules in the future, you'll be caught and points will be deducted." Professor McGonagall looked at the new students below the stage.
