All the heavens began with Huo Yi

After hearing Lezhen's words, Su'er was also somewhat moved and wanted to meet Zen Master Wuchao. So after drinking a few cups of tea, he rode the wind towards Mount Futu.

The country of Ü-Tsang is not large. After flying for about two hours, we could already see the nest of Zen Master Wuchao.

The tall vines rose from the ground and soared into the clouds, with the crow's nest at the top of the vines.

However, there are proper etiquette rules when visiting someone. Flying directly into the crow's nest is considered trespassing. If it were America, she could have eaten a hot purple egg right away.

Even though the crow's nest had no roof, it was still impossible to enter directly, so Su'er landed on the lotus pond below the vines.

Just as Lezhen had said, the place where Zen Master Wuchao lived was covered with yellow lotus flowers.

"I request an audience with Zen Master Wuchao. Is the Zen Master present?"

Suer shouted loudly from under the vines.

No sooner had he finished shouting than a voice came from above, "Come up."

Inside the nest in the clouds

Suer bowed deeply to the meditating Zen Master Wuchao and said, “Lezhen asked me to pass on a message that she is doing well and will come to visit the Zen Master again in a while.”

“Yes, I know about Le Zhen’s matter.” Zen Master Wuchao nodded, and seeing that Su Er was still standing, he said, “Sit down, don’t be shy. There are no tables or chairs in Wuchao, so you can sit on the ground.”

"Haha, you little monkey, how come you've become so polite?" Zen Master Wuchao laughed, then said, "Logically speaking, you shouldn't have come here, and with your impatient nature, you wouldn't have stayed."

It seems that fate has indeed changed, making you, a monkey, start to show manners. I, the Buddha, do not follow the hierarchy of superiors and inferiors; equality of all beings is the true principle of Buddhism. I will only accept your courtesy because I am older than you.

"Now you can do whatever you want; when you've had enough, continue westward."

"But everyone worships Bodhisattvas and Arhats. Is Buddhism truly about equality for all beings? What the Zen Master said isn't entirely true." Su'er asked this question only after seeing that Zen Master Wuchao was not being dishonest.

After all, what you say is not important, what you do is. The Buddhist community that Suer saw had a clear hierarchy!

Now that we've met such a virtuous and eminent monk, of course we should ask him some questions.

"Haha, you monkey." Zen Master Wuchao laughed and pointed at Suer, then said, "You've rotted away at Buddhist teachings. You've only learned the skills but haven't grasped the true meaning, so naturally you'll create a mess."

The reason I didn't want to go to Mount Ling was precisely this. Since I've received your gift as an elder, it wouldn't be right not to reciprocate; so I'll pass on the Heart Sutra to you.

After saying this, Zen Master Wuchao pushed his hand, and a yellow lotus flower turned into a phantom and disappeared into Suer's forehead.

In an instant, a scripture appeared in Su'er's mind. This scripture was the Heart Sutra, the same Heart Sutra that Zen Master Wuchao had passed on to Tang Sanzang.

The Tripitaka Master went to the Great Thunder Temple, encountering numerous dangers along the way. He acquired tens of thousands of scriptures, but the Heart Sutra he obtained from Zen Master Wuchao was the most precious.

The 260 characters of the Heart Sutra have clearly explained the philosophy of where life comes from and where it goes, explained the laws governing the world, and elucidated the central ideas and fundamental principles of Buddhism.

In fact, when the Tripitaka Master obtained the Heart Sutra, he had already completed 80% of his pilgrimage.

Suer closed his eyes and pondered for a long time. After opening his eyes, he looked at Zen Master Wuchao and said, "Zen Master... I don't understand!"

Zen Master Wuchao looked at Suer, whose eyes were clear yet somewhat foolish, and shook his head with a smile, saying, "It doesn't matter if you don't understand, this scripture is only for your use."

Using it on oneself leads to enlightenment; using it on others leads to salvation. As long as it's applied, it's effective. Frequent chanting in the mind can break through demonic obstacles; frequent chanting in the mind can dispel ignorance and delusion.

"Ah? Haha... I see, the Zen master didn't give me the scriptures for me to use now." Su'er realized and laughed awkwardly at Zen Master Wuchao.

Seeing that Su'er understood, Zen Master Wuchao smiled and nodded, "You do indeed have some wisdom. Are you leaving?"

"Having received the benefits, I naturally must leave. After all, I still have things to do. Once these matters are resolved, I will definitely come to visit the Zen Master again." Su'er clasped his hands and kowtowed, another gesture of respect from a junior.

"Wait a minute. Since you regard me as an elder, let me give you some advice." Zen Master Wuchao pressed his hand down and said, stopping Su'er from leaving.

Then the Zen master recited a Buddhist verse:

"When humans and demons mingle, they disrupt the natural order; when Heaven sends down calamities, all become rats."

He was kind-hearted and cared for his own flesh and blood, but was betrayed and harmed by his own children.

Heaven and earth may have ears, but they cannot speak; a wise person judges by actions, not by intentions.

The monks repent and transmit the wondrous Dharma; the Buddhist monks quietly await those with the right affinity.

The rat monster Shenfeng is very powerful; without a magical artifact, it cannot be captured.

If you pluck a leaf and bow in the cave, it's as if you've seen an old friend.

I have one piece of advice to offer, but those who hear it and immediately become angry are unlikely to hear the truth.

"Thank you for your words, Zen Master. I'll be leaving now." Su'er knew that this was Zen Master Wuchao's prediction of the future. Su'er also remembered some of the game content from before, so he could understand some of the things it was trying to express.

The wind and sand whipped up, leaving not a blade of grass.

Thousands of ravines and gullies, with rolling sand and dust.

Birds have vanished from the sky, and only white bones remain on the ground.

"What a wonderful Shamen Village! What a wonderful Huangfengling!"

The phrase "bones exposed in the wilderness, no roosters crowing for miles" would be a compliment to describe this place. There isn't even a decent green tree in Mambo, and the tree that looks like an ailanthus tree not far away has withered and died.

As Suer walked into the seemingly dilapidated village, dozens of arrows were shot at him as soon as he stepped in.

Fortunately, Sul maintained the deflection spell at all times, and none of the arrows hit him.

Looking up, I realized it was a group of rats crouching on both sides of the mountain road, or perhaps launching a sneak attack from the rooftops.

"Damn it! You dead rat!"

Anyone caught off guard by a sudden attack would be furious, and Sull was no exception. After quickly locating the rats, Sull unleashed a chain lightning spell that obliterated all the rats, leaving them unable to reincarnate.

Surprise teleported to the side of a dead rat. He picked up a crossbow, loaded a bolt, and shot it at a rock on the ground.

"Holy crap, that's some real power! How did it go so deep?" Sur exclaimed, looking at the crossbow bolt with its fletching sticking out from the rock. "This isn't a crossbow, it's a Barrett! Have these BYD rats really gotten into the tech tree?"

The singing grew closer, and Suer saw a headless person slowly approaching, holding a sanxian (a three-stringed plucked instrument) in his hands.

"Wow, Huangfengling is a rap bodhisattva!"

The man drew closer and closer, until he was less than fifty paces from Su'er, when the headless monk let out a cry, put down his sanxian (a three-stringed plucked instrument), and made a Buddhist bow. "This old monk greets you, benefactor. This place is infested with rats that eat people. Please be careful. If there is nothing else, you may turn back."

"Hahaha, how did the Bodhisattva become so wretched? He's even lost his head! Doesn't he even know who I am?"

Suer withdrew his disguise and transformed back into the monkey form of the Chosen One.

The headless monk was taken aback, then burst into laughter: "Who do we have here? It turns out to be the chosen one. I am just an ordinary monk, not even proficient in Buddhist teachings, let alone a Bodhisattva."

“Before I came to Huangfengling, I was a guest at Zen Master Wuchao’s place. He said there was a monk here who would pass on the wonderful Dharma to me. I suppose that’s you,” Su’er said with a grin.

"Amitabha!" Upon hearing Su'er's words, the headless monk uttered a Buddhist chant. Surprised, he immediately added, "So it was the Zen Master who spoke of it. Haha, then I won't hide it anymore. This old monk is Lingji. My head was cut off by my wicked disciple and used to refine the Great Sage's potential. It's a misfortune for our sect!"
