The Strongest Magician of Gods
Chapter 6: The Magic Guild Arrives
Mo Bei looked around the small courtyard, the walls of which gleamed.
The courtyard wasn't large, and my eyes darted back and forth between it.
"buzz"
The wall trembled, and a figure gradually appeared on one side of the wall. This figure looked exactly like Mo Bei, only with sharper eyes.
"Oh, I wonder what dreams will bring."
Mo Bei looked at his reflection on the wall. The next moment, the figure on the wall moved, took out a magic wand, and pointed it. A small fireball popped out of the magic wand.
The fireball was refined to its extreme, about the thickness of a finger, and the color of the flame was red with a hint of black.
With a "bang," Mo Bei's front end sank deep into the hole.
"How is that possible? How can it be black flames? That clearly indicates that it has reached an extremely high level."
Mo Bei shouted, then looked at the fireball he had cast in the mirror. The fireball was perfectly round and its power was at its peak.
The fireball he originally cast was as big as a fist, but the fireball cast by the person in the mirror shrank several times in the blink of an eye. If you didn't look carefully, you might miss the spell. And the speed was indeed incredibly fast.
"What terrifying magic control ability! Is this the level above the beginner level of Fireball? Even a high-level mage wouldn't possess such magic control!"
Mo Bei pondered for a moment, analyzed the fireball spell in the mirror, and was deeply shocked.
"Wow"
After casting the fireball spell in the mirror, Mo Bei transformed and tapped his magic wand on the spot, releasing a thin, faint flame.
The flame was over a meter long and as thin as a hair, yet the person in the mirror remained perfectly still, resembling a fiery red, mottled line, straight and so stable.
"The method of cultivating magic control? The magical world is so amazing. It seems I need to broaden my horizons regarding magic!"
Mo Bei felt a bitter taste in his mouth, thought for a while, then took out a magic wand from his sleeve, ignited the flames, and gradually gained control of it.
"I was wrong. I need to change my mindset soon. This world is so obsessed with magic. I'm afraid some exceptionally talented people have already discovered the secret: the key to casting magic lies in controlling it. The stronger one's control over magic, the stronger one's combat ability will be. Perhaps the magical world isn't as friendly as I imagined!" Mo Bei thought to himself.
The magical world is full of wonder and danger. Mo Bei originally thought that this world must be peaceful and beautiful, but after just one day of contact, he was no longer sure. At this moment, looking at himself in the mirror, he displayed his superb magic control ability. At this moment, his mind seemed to have opened a door, and he thought of extremely terrifying things.
He thought that the magical power in the magical world might not be as simple as it seemed, but perhaps it represented the cruel laws governing survival in this world. After all, although his memories were blurry, he could still vaguely recall a few bloody fragments.
"Regardless of what the future holds, we must fight with all our might now."
Mo Bei's eyes hardened, and he gradually channeled the magic power from the source of magic. With a flick of his magic wand, a flame as thick as an arm surged forth.
In that brief moment of perseverance, he was already in pain, drenched in sweat. Mo Bei gradually steadied his hands and tensed his body, slowly gaining control of the arm-thick flame.
He practiced again and again, for an unknown amount of time, but the dream showed no sign of ending. After a long period of trying, the magic power of the magic source decreased rapidly.
When he was exhausted, Mo Bei jumped onto the lotus leaf again, refining magic power to replenish the power of the magic source.
Through repeated control, Mo Bei fell into a terrifying cultivation process. In his dreams, he was no longer afraid of his body collapsing or experiencing spasms and pain, and thus developed a strong interest in magic.
He didn't know how much time had passed; time seemed to stand still in the dream. For a full half month, Mo Bei practiced controlling the flames again and again, gradually transforming the flames from the thickness of his arm into the size of a hair before his eyes.
This firelight is so refined. Fire is a product between the real and the unreal. When you pass your hand through a flame, you can only feel the intense heat, but you can't touch the essence of the fire. But the firelight in front of me seems to have been condensed a lot. When you gently pull it, you can feel the tension within it.
This level of magic control has surpassed the limits, reaching the level of the realm between illusion and reality, allowing people to feel a touch of reality in an illusory environment.
"What exactly is the function of the lotus flower, and what about the ring? The lotus flower seems to enhance a person's comprehension and the speed at which they refine magic power, while the ring can improve a person's memory and detect the secrets of magicians. Perhaps there are other untapped potentials among them."
Mo Bei whispered, suddenly finding it all too incredible.
"Wow"
Several more days passed before Mo Bei disappeared in a beam of light.
Inside the Austin Magic Academy library, Mo Bei opened his eyes, his nose touching the ancient book pressed against his nose, and he could still smell the scent of the ancient book filling his nostrils.
"I...I...Oh no...This is troublesome, this is troublesome."
Mo Bei cried out in surprise, jumped up from the magic broom, and mounted the broom.
"crash"
Large stacks of ancient books fell from his body, leaving Mo Bei stunned.
He looked down at his feet, then at the height of the bookshelf, more than twenty feet above the ground, yet he was still buried under the ancient books.
"Damn, how much time has passed? The sky outside is still barely light, but it feels like this night has been going on for ages."
Mo Bei pondered quietly, then casually tapped his magic wand. Time seemed to stand still, and the ancient books sprang into a unique display, returning to the enormous bookshelf.
A cool sensation emanated from the ring.

"It's true, all of this is true. Fireball has been upgraded from a basic spell to an intermediate spell, and it's only one step away from breaking through to the level of advanced spell. The name has also changed from Fireball to Rapid Fireball. Perhaps as his magic control ability improves, he will continue to upgrade Fireball. Fortunately, the ring is still there."
Mo Bei looked down at the ring on her finger, realizing from her brief test that her ability to control magic had become much stronger.
"Could the space we just experienced be inside this ring?!"
Mo Bei vaguely remembered that when he entered the dream, the ring on his hand had disappeared.
But when he looked at his magic control ability again, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets. If it were his magic control ability last night, he could only throw tens of thousands of ancient books haphazardly into the air, but now his magic control power could make them neat and orderly, and the ancient books returned much faster.
"If I had this kind of magic control ability yesterday, I wouldn't have won so badly. With today's strength, I shouldn't feel any pain after fighting a few battles!"
Mo Bei chuckled foolishly, feeling as if all the gloom of the past had been swept away, and even the resentment accumulated over the past three years had disappeared.
"This is the real me, full of vitality in the sunlight. Even if the Magic Guild comes, it shouldn't be difficult for me to complete a few simple tasks."
In his mind, Mo Bei recalled several interesting people from his memories. Today's Mo Bei had completely merged with the Mo Bei of the past, and those twenty years of memories seemed to be evidence of his personal experience.
"It's time to see my old comrades."
Mo Bei laughed heartily, looking at the tidy library. With a burst of magic broom, Mo Bei rode the broom and rushed out of the library, heading towards Austin Magic Academy, soaring through the sky above the academy.
"Wow"
The sky was still dark when Mo Bei rode his broomstick to the top of the flying serpent's head again, leaping up to climb onto the serpent's head.
The divine serpent was enormous, hundreds of meters tall, with its two small chests touching the ground like a reclining dragon, and most of its body coiled up in mid-air like a bow.
The snake's head had a pair of sharp, petrified eyes, with a row of long bone spurs between them. The snake's skin at the neck was flat and bulging, like a pair of wings.
"The one who sealed the Flying Divine Serpent is the true powerhouse. This serpent is said to be the totem of a foreign tribe and was sealed here a thousand years ago. Fortunately, it was sealed within the academy. If it had been sealed elsewhere, this demonic serpent would probably have broken free and wreaked havoc on the world long ago."
Mo Bei found information about the Flying Serpent God in the library's books. At this point, it seemed that a battle was inevitable within the academy. As long as the Flying Serpent God lived, the disaster would eventually manifest.
"I can only hope that I will be a super strong person by then, otherwise I will have to stay far away. Becoming a high-level mage is not my goal. I need to work hard and improve my magical power quickly, so that I may have the ability to survive at that time."
Mo Bei murmured, looking down into the eyes of the divine serpent. Perhaps it was an illusion, but the serpent's eyes flashed with a crimson light, which disappeared in an instant. Even Mo Bei, whose magic control ability had reached its limit, did not notice this terrifying scene.
"Damn it, my brain is really messed up. Today is supposed to be a day off."
After a long while, the empty academy was completely silent. Mo Bei slapped his forehead and said.
"I'll go back and tidy up first. That shabby house needs to be replaced. It's extremely messy and far from the city center. With that in mind, I need to find a way to make money."
Mo Bei rode his broom into the sky, not intending to return it to the academy. Buying a new one would cost quite a bit of money, so he decided to return it tonight.
"They're really dirt poor. As a former high-level mage, they should have been white-collar workers in that world, but their former master turned them into beggars."
Mo Bei rode his broomstick and flew towards the jungle of Austin Magic Academy. In the majestic and vast mountains, ancient and vigorous trees stood tall.
"Damn it, they've gone too far, damn it!"
Mo Bei rode his broom, his vision blurred in mid-air, and flew far away. By the time he realized his mistake, half an hour had passed.
"When will my bad luck turn around?!"
Around noon, Mo Bei flew low and finally found the exit, where rows of tall buildings stood tall and people lined both sides of the road.
Mo Bei took the lead, weaving between the streetlights on both sides. He was going so fast that his hair flew up, and the car sped by several meters below him, giving him a strange sense of exhilaration.
"It's so cool."
Mo Bei roared and shouted high in the sky, watching the skyscrapers flash by, and excitedly gesturing with his hands and feet.
"Hoo"
With a sudden stop, Mo Bei landed slowly in the dilapidated castle-style building, its walls stained with dirt.
As soon as Mo Bei stepped onto the ground, the magic broom floated halfway up his waist.
"Click"
He took out his key and opened the door in one smooth motion.
"Slurp"
Suddenly, the sound of chains turning came from beside him.
Mo Bei was startled. Before he could even remove the key from the door, he had already dodged several meters away from the door.
"bang"
The iron chain touched the wall, and stone chips exploded.
The iron chains appeared out of nowhere. Mo Bei smirked slightly, picked up his magic wand, and pointed it at the roof.
"Hoo"
He threw a fireball the size of a fist at them.
"boom"
The iron chain collided with the fireball, sparks flying.
"Come out! I can tell it's you just by looking at your dark abilities."
Mo Bei launched an attack, seemingly unconcerned, and walked to the door, turning the doorknob open.
"You're pretty good, second brother. You've recovered well after more than two years."
Suddenly, a burly man floated down from the roof. He was muscular and had an iron chain as thick as an arm tightly wrapped around his body.
"Damn it..." Mo Bei cursed.
The mere mention of "second son" made him feel like swearing, and he wondered how his former owner had ever accepted such a title.
Mo Bei's lips trembled slightly with anger. With his back to the honest-looking man, he suppressed his intense displeasure.
"What do you want from me?" Mo Bei asked coldly.
"hey-hey"
The big man chuckled foolishly, scratched his head, and suddenly felt a little embarrassed, but still blurted it out with a silly grin.
"The boss told me to come find you. He said he can't let you slack off anymore. The Magic Guild has issued a final notice, and if you don't go soon, you'll face a huge fine."
The big man was honest and simple, but what he said was half true and half false, making it difficult to tell the truth from the lies. However, Mo Bei could still see some thought in his expression.
"Damn it... This is a mess. It's always this fine or that fine. I've risked my life to get benefits for those bastards, and they just eat it all without ever looking back. Besides, my progress in missions over the years has almost made me an outer disciple of the Angel Gate. I'm so angry."
Mo Bei deliberately cursed, because if it were the original Mo Bei, he would definitely have cursed out loud. If he didn't curse now, when would he have the chance?
As I continued cursing, it unexpectedly took on a different flavor.
"Second brother, don't be too angry. The eldest brother said to take on a few missions as a formality, and the missions won't be too difficult. He asked you to come with me, but I... I've been here for ages and I haven't seen you. I haven't even had lunch yet."
The honest, burly man was perhaps startled by Mo Bei's cursing, but then his eyes lit up and he came up with a solution, saying with a wronged expression.
"Alright, alright, I haven't even warmed up my home yet, and I'm already going with you. It's been two years, and I've missed you, Boss. We've been through thick and thin together for so many years, and today all the brothers are finally reunited."
Mo Bei patted the big man on the shoulder and laughed loudly.
The two then rode their magic brooms swiftly past. Mo Bei looked at the honest-looking man beside him, and a hint of tension gradually crept into his expression.
"What's meant to come will come eventually, but don't let it come too soon. I'm still waiting to turn things around!" Mo Bei muttered blankly.
