The Strongest Magician of Gods
Chapter 2: Master Mo
In the thick fog, a trembling figure struggled forward step by step.
Mo Bei endured the pain and hid in the mist, only breathing a sigh of relief when he watched Li Renxian ride his broom overhead.
A chill ran through him from the ancient ring, and a line of characters appeared in his mind.

"I...I...Damn it, they demoted me a level in such a short time."
Mo Bei cursed, his face turning pale. He had only used two intermediate spells, and under the intense pressure, his body was forcibly downgraded by one level, from the peak of the initial stage to the advanced stage. If he continued to use spells, wouldn't the magical source in his body immediately collapse and he die completely?
"What the hell is this? Are they trying to kill me?"
Mo Bei endured the pain in his body, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and after cursing, he pondered for a moment before realizing how serious the illness in this body was.
After thinking about it repeatedly, he finally realized why the original owner, a genius, would think of taking his own life and leaving this world.
"The most urgent task is to figure out what's wrong with me. As for how to solve it, we should start with magic."
Mo Bei figured out what he needed to do next. He didn't want to die again, but even after figuring it out, he realized he still didn't know what to do.
"At this time, we should let go of the burdens of the past and focus on healing this body."
"It seems the odds are against us."
Mo Bei shrugged, looking helpless, and sat down on a roadside rock, lost in thought.
He took out his lesson preparation book from his pocket, flipped through a few pages, and found that it contained records of the ingredients and medicinal value of some magic potions.
As he was looking at it, Mo Bei suddenly had a flash of inspiration and stood up abruptly.
"How incredibly stupid! As one of the four great academies, Austin Academy of Magic should have a vast collection of books. If we want to understand our own ailment, it seems we can only follow the clues and slowly seek a solution."
Mo Bei strengthened his resolve. To him, being alive at this moment was the best gift God had given him, and all he wanted was to continue living.
"Damn it, you just do it."
Mo Bei smiled brightly, looking into the distance as if she had found hope to live. Then she took steps forward, heading swiftly towards the academy she longed for.
Austin Magic Academy, a huge castle is located deep in a dark forest. The atmosphere of the space is eerie, and the sounds of ghosts howling and wolves wailing often come from the side, which makes some timid students tremble with fear.
Darkness replaced everything around, and a sturdy weeping willow stood upside down in a corner of the academy, emanating a warm and verdant green light.
"Crunch, crunch"
Mo Bei stepped on the dry branches, which snapped underfoot. He raised his hand and pushed aside a branch blocking his way. Gradually, a faint light appeared, and he saw a huge, dark castle sitting before him.
The castle was magnificent, mysterious and solemn, as if it possessed a mysterious power.
"There is a God in this world."
Mo Bei unconsciously touched his cheek and suddenly asked a question, though he already had the answer in his heart.
"Crunch, crunch"
Mo Bei pressed forward, step by step entering the castle. His magic robes fluttered in the wind as he drew closer, and magic brooms occasionally flew overhead. His flamboyant appearance filled Mo Bei with envy.
"Once I've cured my ailments, I'll shoot you all down like rabbits."
Mo Bei pointed to the air and said enviously, "I've been wanting to try the magic broom for a long time. The style is just too cool!"
Before the dark castle, a black river splashes, and a stone bridge carved with various ghostly patterns spans the castle.
The bridge is entirely black, which complements the black river and the castle perfectly, making it truly outstanding.
As Mo Bei walked onto the stone bridge, a chilling wind blew around him.
In the distance, in front of the castle, a huge flying serpent bared its fangs. Its two sharp fangs were as long as a person. The serpent was entirely black, its scales gleaming. Its two eyes were sharp and distinct, revealing an aura as deep as an abyss.
The giant serpent remained motionless, coiled like a dragon, with a fountain beneath it spraying water that shot into the sky. Several magic apprentices rode brooms around the serpent's head, treating the flying snake as a decorative statue for the academy.
However, only the instructors at Austin School of Magic knew that this giant serpent was not a statue, but a real flying serpent that existed between heaven and earth.
Mo Bei walked step by step to the castle, looking up at the huge flying serpent. From time to time, the laughter of magic apprentices playing could be heard from it. Only he himself was wary and kept a safe distance from the stone statue.
"Ignorance is bliss. I wonder how your expressions would be if I told you this snake was still alive!"
Mo Bei smiled wickedly, baring his teeth and widening his eyes, yet also appearing somewhat innocent.
"Snapped"
A strong hand suddenly slapped Mo Bei on the shoulder.
"You...you...your sister."
Mo Bei shuddered instantly, a chill rising from the bottom of his heart, especially since it was still dark. Just as he was about to get angry, he turned around and looked at the mysterious middle-aged man in front of him, his eyes suddenly revealing a chilling aura.
It was an indescribable feeling, as if the body's former owner had always harbored a strong hostility and a fearful caution towards this person.
"Hehe, so it's Professor Ronan!"
Mo Bei sneered, his eyes instantly becoming bloodshot, and even the physical injuries and fatigue on his body disappeared completely.
This instructor, Ronan, was over forty years old and also an instructor at Austin Magic Academy, but as soon as Mo Bei saw this person, his body felt a sense of disgust, and he vaguely sensed that he had a great deal of resentment towards him.
Ronan was taken aback. His skull-patterned magic robes fluttered, his long hair was disheveled and covered his face, and one of his blue-glowing eyes was filled with an extreme evil aura, which was naturally accompanied by a look of surprise.
Their eyes met, and Ronan's hoarse voice was extremely unpleasant.
"Professor Mo Bei is joking. Who else could it be but me? Please be careful when walking at night if you are not feeling well, and don't get lost."
After saying this, Instructor Ronan walked past Mo Bei, leaving behind his back, his voice carrying a hint of threat.
"This is the first person I've encountered since coming to the magical world who has shown me this inexplicable hostility. Could he be implying something?"
Mo Bei was startled. His emotions just now were entirely driven by instinctive hostility, but he just couldn't understand why he had such a strange feeling.
"This Ronan doesn't seem like a good guy either. From what I remember, he was my mentor back then. I wonder what kind of weird hobbies he has. Judging from the skull magic robe he's wearing, is his magical constitution dark?"
Mo Bei calmly analyzed the complex relationship between him and Ronan. He had to take it seriously, because if he made the slightest mistake, his life and status would be in danger.
"Humph"
Mo Bei feigned a cold snort, withdrew his gaze, and stared again at the flying snake not far away, but his heart was becoming more and more nervous.
Meanwhile, Ronan's mind was in turmoil. He walked along, replaying the scene in his mind, sometimes frowning and sometimes smiling.
"Perhaps he discovered it, but so what! We'll just get rid of him."
Ronan's slightly furrowed brow returned to a faint smile, his blue eyes peering through the strands of hair on his forehead, gazing directly at the earth and the sky.
"Let him live a few more days, haha!"
Professor Ronan, for reasons unknown, had a resolute look in his eyes; perhaps his soul had long since left the Austin School of Magic.
"That's strange. We need to keep a close eye on this person. It seems the previous owner didn't have a good life here either!"
After a long while, Mo Bei's eyes shifted, no longer paying attention to the surrounding scenery. He strode forward, his entire demeanor completely transformed, attracting the attention of the other magic apprentices who frequently glanced at him with a hint of surprise.
"Master Mo seems to have changed."
A magic apprentice was astonished, his mouth agape as he stared blankly at Mo Bei striding away past him. His eyes were filled with a murderous aura, a kind of determination that Mo Bei had never shown before.
"What could possibly change about Master Mo? There are plenty of jokes about Master Mo circulating in the academy."
Yet another magic apprentice voiced a different opinion.
"Exactly, Teacher Mo, Teacher Mo, he's just not capable enough, the whole school knows this joke now."
Some apprentices pouted and made cute mocking faces, which made the other apprentices burst into laughter on the spot.
Although this joke didn't circulate widely, Mo Bei was actually very close to them.
"Look at the state of your teaching career, I'm starting to wonder how you manage to get by in the academy."
Mo Bei sighed.
"You've gone too far. Keep your voice down when Master Mo is right here."
At this moment, a tall, slender woman with delicate features appeared before the crowd. Her face was flushed red with anger, and her shapely figure was upright and graceful.
"Xiao...Xiao...Yan'er"
Some magic apprentices were startled, but upon seeing the newcomer, they panicked completely.
"Who is Xiao Yan'er? She's incredibly beautiful. I almost lost control of myself," some first-year magic apprentices teased.
"To shut up"
At this moment, a third-year magic apprentice angrily cursed.
"Shh... Keep your voice down. Xiao Yan'er is an apprentice in the fourth-year prodigy class. Her strength is already that of a true magician. Don't let her hear you, or you'll lose your life."
A magic apprentice gently tugged at the sleeve of the apprentice from before and explained in a low voice.
These words, once circulated, immediately silenced everyone present, and no one dared to utter a word of criticism. A class of prodigies alone was enough to keep these people in check.
At this moment, everyone quieted down, and Xiao Yan'er's expression improved slightly. She turned her body and glanced at Mo Bei with her delicate eyes.
After reading it, Mo Bei shook his head, turned around, and started walking forward.
"Forget it, this is such a hassle. I feel like my memories are getting even more confused."
Mo Bei shook his head and sighed, heading straight for the route to the library he remembered.
“Master Mo used to be a celebrity in Austin. Although I don’t know what happened to him now, I believe that Master Mo will not continue to live like this forever.”
Xiao Yan'er stared blankly at the departing figure, her memory immediately returning to the man from three years ago. Overwhelmed with joy, a series of exciting scenes flooded her mind.
And today, three years later, we see the same old look and genius in this man again.
"I believe that Master Mo has some kind of reason for hiding his strength. How could such a man of such stature conceal his talent? I am waiting for that moment. I also believe that the Master Mo of the past will eventually return, and at that time he will once again become a heroic figure."
Xiao Yan'er stared blankly at Mo Bei's retreating figure, her heart filled with complex emotions, her gaze fixed on him.
"Perhaps he's carrying too much on his shoulders!"
Xiao Yan'er comforted herself in this way, looking down at her fingers.
The man she mentioned was in a precarious situation, burdened by both physical ailments and the growing conspiracy within the academy.
