The Strongest Magician of Gods
Chapter 1: The Fallen Magician
"How did I end up in this ghost's body?"
A deafening roar echoed, and Mo Bei, in disbelief, surveyed the space around him and the magic robe he was wearing.
"This is a magician!" he said uncertainly, and then, based on the vast amount of memories in his mind, he gradually pieced together everything about this body's life.
"Austin Magic Academy, what the heck is this? And a magic instructor at that, but luckily he shares the same name as me."
Mo Bei cried out in surprise, looking at himself under the dilapidated eaves. He looked nothing like a glorious people's teacher; he was only slightly better off than a beggar.
It turns out that the original owner of this body was also named Mo Bei, a genius magician who graduated from Austin Magic Academy with the top three magical energy in the entire grade. He then began teaching at the academy, instead of choosing to become an adventurer and roam the world like other magicians.
In just three years, the owner of this body went from a remarkable genius to a down-on-his-luck magician. From the day he chose to become a teacher, nightmares began to plague him one after another.
Unbeknownst to him, his body gradually broke free from magical control, and he could no longer wield any magic. Whenever he tried to use magic at full power, he would experience intense pain. Moreover, his teaching aptitude was mediocre, and he became a laughingstock of the academy.
Under prolonged repression, the original owner of this body slowly sank into the abyss, until tonight he completely lost his faith, silently drifted away with the wind, and ended his own life.
"It's a pity that a former genius has fallen into obscurity. I probably wouldn't be able to accept the fact that I've become like this, especially since as a genius magician, I've even had trouble casting spells. Who could accept that?"
Mo Bei sighed inwardly, but as he sighed, a different kind of wave suddenly surged in the ocean of his memories.
After their memories became intertwined, Mo Bei lost her way, and her eyes suddenly turned blood red.
"Strange, it seems like... another trace of memory has merged into my memory. Could it be that these memories haven't been completely integrated yet?"
Mo Bei was puzzled for a moment, and the memories in his mind merged again, causing his memory to become somewhat chaotic for a moment.
"Who am I? It seems that there is something more to this body than meets the eye, and there is some kind of purpose behind it, but I just can't remember why. Maybe my memories haven't fully integrated yet. I always feel that this body is hiding something."
"It seems I've become him!"
Mo Bei imagined that chaotic memories were intertwined, and two completely different personalities were merging together. Suddenly, he became dejected, and his eyes suddenly lost their luster.
"I'd rather die than have to bear such a complicated identity."
He was both amused and exasperated. He looked up at the sliver of light outside the window, and a sense of pressure tightened in his heart.
It was because he suddenly remembered something from his memory, something about the magical world, or his current identity.
"It seems like I should go to the academy."
Mo Bei stroked his chin thoughtfully. He closed his eyes and pondered for a while. In his memory, he always left home at this time to go to Austin Magic Academy to teach. But the soul in this body was a human who knew nothing about the magical world, let alone his own magic.
Mo Bei was getting anxious. Asking him to teach was a joke. Besides, he hadn't fully integrated the original owner's memories yet. Who knew what would happen after he went to the academy? Moreover, he didn't even know what magic was at the moment. How could he teach someone? If his identity was discovered, he would be in deep trouble. After all, he hadn't even figured out what kind of power magic had.
Going there would involve some risks, but if he didn't go, where could he go in his current state? The most crucial issue was the magical illness affecting his body, which he still didn't know how to resolve.
Mo Bei seemed to feel a deep despair. His physical illness, the soul chain of his identity, and the fact that he was a newcomer, coupled with the fact that his family had fallen into such a state of disrepair that even survival was a problem.
Mo Bei was embarrassed and pondered for a while.
"It seems like going to the academy is the only option."
Mo Bei knew he only had one choice: to take over everything in this body, because that was the only thing he was familiar with.
“Going to teach at the academy is a gamble. If I win, my identity will be proven. As for future troubles, that’s a matter for later. The most important thing right now is how to integrate into this world.”
"Fine, let's go check out that magic academy."
After a moment, Mo Bei sorted out his thoughts, made a decision, glanced at the lesson preparation books on his desk, hugged them to his chest, and darted out the door in a few steps, running quickly to follow his memories.
"I guess I'm just unlucky; I had to start working as soon as I arrived," Mo Bei shook his head and sighed.
The winding, rugged path was filled with miasma; the magical world was so eerie, the chirping of insects startled the sky, and the horizon turned reddish.
Mo Bei sped along the tall buildings on both sides of the road, rushing along the rugged and steep road.
Strangely, it was eerily quiet here, and I even sensed a vague sense of crisis from my memories.
"What's going on? I've only jogged a short distance, why do I feel uncomfortable? My whole body feels unbearably hot."
Mo Bei knew nothing about anything, not even the past of this body, and especially this discomfort.
He stopped and looked at it carefully.
"suddenly"
Suddenly, tall ice buds rose up on both sides, sharp and piercingly cold.
"Not good." In an instant, Mo Bei was shocked. Looking at this unfamiliar scene, his own combat awareness suddenly awakened.
"Could it be that there are enemies?"
In an instant, Mo Bei panicked, looking at the dense ice spikes in the sky. This power was equivalent to the magic cast by a novice mage.
"Given the current magical power, it shouldn't be here to find me; it's probably a test."
Mo Bei was cautious, her eyes scanning the surroundings.
Where is my magic wand?!
Mo Bei was startled, as something suddenly popped into his mind, and then he began to search.
As a magician, he naturally possessed weapons for casting spells, but he couldn't recall where the original owner had put them.
The magic wand is a magician's weapon. In the early stages of the game, magicians must use a magic wand to cast spells.
Mo Bei frantically touched his magic robe; his life was at stake, but he just couldn't remember where he had put his magic wand.
"That's too late."
Ice spikes, visible to the eye, swept in, carrying with them a chilling cold that cut to the bone.
"Ice Cone Spell, a basic magic spell, a rare offensive spell among the basic spells."
Suddenly, a line of text flashed through his mind. Mo Bei stomped his foot and leaped against the wind. With a few leaps, his feet touched the walls of the tall buildings, and he climbed to the top of the building.
"What happened? What just happened?"
Mo Bei dodged the attack of the ice spikes. The middle of the road was covered with ice, and the sharp ice spikes, as thick as a forearm, were firmly fixed on the road.
"This is the power of a magician. It's astonishingly terrifying. I think I'm starting to like this kind of world."
Mo Bei's voice was deep and resonant; no one could possibly not want to possess such an ability.
"But judging from the appearance of this ice magic, this person's strength isn't that great!"
Mo Bei sighed, wondering why these words had flashed into his mind, as they were completely outside his knowledge.
Ice magic is another powerful magical constitution that water magic has mutated into. Its attack power is terrifying, and it is known as a killing machine in times of war. It is incredibly powerful. However, the power of the magic this person uses is obviously not on the same level at all.
"Who could it be!?"
Mo Bei pondered casually for a moment, then smiled faintly. He touched his left arm, flicked his fingers, and pulled a magic wand from the corner of his clothes on one side of his shoulder. The sound echoed, and the movement was quite natural.
But after whispering something, he suddenly noticed the magic wand in his hand, and his voice trembled slightly.
"How is this possible? I...this...this is...my magic wand!"
Mo Bei was startled and examined it closely. It was a bone staff that was entirely blood red, with a crystal-clear luster. It was about the length of a forearm and the thickness of a finger. At the back of the staff was a U-shaped bone spike, inlaid with a large diamond, which shone with an unprecedented luster.
"This old man's is obviously a prank. It's disgusting. Judging from the past memories of this body, it can be summed up in one word: miserable."
Mo Bei sighed and looked around at his surroundings. High-rise buildings stood tall, the lights were dim, and it was still dark. Cars sped along the road, their lights flashing.
“Master Mo, I’m in luck today, so I’ve come here specifically to learn from you.”
On one side of the building, a young figure dressed in a magic robe quickly appeared. The person had a playful expression on his face, but the magical energy around him was surging.
"It's you"
Mo Bei was surprised, but a thought flashed through his mind, and he recognized the person who had come.
"Li...Ren...Xian"
Mo Bei gritted his teeth, uttering each word one by one.
It was a kind of resentful aura that arose from within the body, and the memories in the mind suddenly burst forth, with past memories surfacing one by one in an instant.
"Damn it, I've only been here for one day, and this guy's already causing trouble again! What's he after this time? Is it going to be about credits again?!"
Anyone who finds such a mischievous student will be in for a lot of trouble.
At that moment, a passage of text flashed through his mind.
Name: Li Renxian
Age: 16
Meditation Method: The Book of Ice
Magical constitution: Ice type
Level: Ninth-tier Magic Apprentice, Austin Academy of Magic
Magic: Ice Cone (Attack), Ice Shield (Defense), Lightness Spell (Support)
Magical weapons: Magic wand, Magic broom (flying)
Li Renxian is a third-year student at Austin Magic Academy. He is not a bad person by nature, but he has picked up some bad habits that make him rather unpleasant to others.
If it were three years ago, Mo Bei would naturally not be afraid of these students, but unfortunately, his magical constitution had problems, and he suffered excruciating pain when casting spells, so he gradually dared not cast spells anymore.
"You're really having a tough time, having to deal with these troublesome apprentices all the time must be tough on you."
Mo Bei sighed deeply, looking at the magic wand in his hand and the unfamiliar world around him, a wave of homesickness rose in his heart.
"I can't go back, but I also want to see what this magical world is like. At least in this world, I want to become the person I've always wanted to be, a person with bones and flesh and blood."
Mo Bei thought to himself, his eyes deep. In his original world, he was driven by desire, turning from an upright person into a sycophant, abandoning his dignity into the abyss. But this world might be different.
Just as Mo Bei was lost in his fantasies, he almost spat out a mouthful of saliva.
"Professor, I recently got a new girlfriend, but it caught the attention of our class teacher. You're also a professor, so I'm begging you to put in a good word for me, otherwise she'll tell my parents."
Li Renxian glanced at Mo Bei, but while Mo Bei was lost in thought, he kept his eyes on the sky and didn't even look at him directly.
This surprised him. Master Mo was not usually like this, because he was a gentle and stubborn person and would rarely be so distracted.
But at this moment, Mo Bei suddenly stared at an ancient ring on his finger.
