Chapter 49 The troops are divided into two groups

The school bell rang, finally ending the day's classes. Ando and Shibata met outside the classroom and decided to continue practicing at the gymnasium, hoping to improve their superpowers and physical abilities through extra training.

“I think I can do even better,” Shibata said as he packed his bag. “I want to go to the gym and practice for a while longer.”

Ando nodded, her eyes revealing a firm determination: "Me too, I think I need more practice to master my ability."

The two then smiled at each other and walked together toward the gymnasium to prepare for extra training.

Meanwhile, Ito Sawa, Ichinose, and Kanzaki planned to go to Class A to observe the movements of Sakayanagi and his group.

They approached Class A's classroom cautiously, trying not to attract attention.

Through the window, they saw Sakayanagi talking to Kamuro. Sakayanagi's expression was serious, as if he was telling Kamuro some important things.

Suddenly, Sakayanagi whispered something to Kamuro, who nodded and then quickly left the classroom, heading in another direction.

Seeing this, Ito Sawa quickly made a decision: they needed to split into two groups, one to track Kamuro and the other to monitor Sakayanagi. "Kanzaki, you stay here and keep an eye on Sakayanagi," Ito Sawa said in a low voice, his voice carrying a hint of determination. "Ichinose and I will go together. Our abilities can complement each other, and I can also protect Ichinose."

Kanzaki didn't ask any more questions. He trusted Itosawa's judgment and quickly left to start tracking Sakayanagi.

As for why Kanzaki was tasked with keeping an eye on Sakayanagi, one reason was that Kanzaki alone was enough to deal with Sakayanagi.

On the other hand, even if he didn't know that the two of them had met before, his familiarity with the original work made him realize that their relationship was extraordinary, and he believed that Kanzaki would have a way to fool people when he was discovered.

As for why he was acting with Ichinose, well, those who know, know.

Itosawa and Ichinose followed behind Kamuro, keeping a certain distance to avoid being discovered.

Ito Sawa's eyes were sharp, his gaze fixed on Kamuro's figure. His steps were light and steady, trying to avoid attracting the attention of those around him.

Ichinose followed closely beside Ito Sawa, her expression serious and focused. She knew her role wasn't just to be protected; her special ability also needed to be used to help when necessary.

The two of them followed the route of the shrine, traversing the campus corridors and paths. Ito Sawa glanced around from time to time to make sure no one else noticed their actions.

Their movements were natural and unpretentious, just like ordinary students taking a walk on campus.

Kamuro seemed unaware that she was being followed; her steps were light, as if she were enjoying her leisurely time after school.

Itosawa and Ichinose remained vigilant, knowing that any small oversight could lead to the failure of the operation.

As time passed, Kamuro entered the library and disappeared behind the library doors. Itosawa and Ichinose exchanged a glance; they knew they couldn't just wait there and had to continue tracking him.

A resolute glint flashed in Ito Sawa's eyes. He whispered to Ichinose, "We can't let her out of our sight. We have to follow her."

Ichinose nodded, her expression serious and focused. She knew the library was a complex place, filled with bookshelves and reading areas, which provided cover but also increased the difficulty of tracking them. "We have to be careful; the library is crowded and noisy. We don't want to be discovered," she cautioned.

Ito Sawa and Ichinose cautiously entered the library, their movements natural, just like ordinary students looking for information.

The library was quiet and solemn, with only the sound of turning pages and soft footsteps. Their eyes quickly scanned every corner, searching for any trace of the shrine.

They noticed that the shrine was heading deeper into the library, where the bookshelves were taller, the light was dimmer, and there were fewer people.

Itosawa and Ichinose kept a certain distance from each other, walking lightly to avoid attracting Kamuro's attention.

Using the bookshelves as cover, they sometimes hid and sometimes moved quickly, always staying out of the shrine's sight.

Ito Sawa's gaze was fixed on Kamuro's figure, while his ears were also keenly picking up any unusual movements around him.

Ichinose followed closely behind, her special ability activated by Itosawa, keeping a tight hold on Kamuro. Although she couldn't perceive him clearly yet, at least she wouldn't lose them.

They saw Kamishiro stop in front of a row of bookshelves, seemingly looking for a particular book.

Itosawa and Ichinose quickly and silently hid behind a nearby bookshelf. Itosawa cautiously peeked out, observing Kamuro's every move, his mind racing as he considered Kamuro's possible intentions.

Ichinose was responsible for monitoring the surroundings, her eyes scanning the library to make sure no one else noticed their actions.

Her heart was racing slightly, but her expression remained calm. She knew that any tension could affect their concealment.

Kamuro finally took a book down from the shelf, turned the pages, and seemed to be looking for specific information.

Itosawa and Ichinose exchanged a glance. They knew this was a crucial moment, and they had to remain absolutely silent and vigilant. They held their breath, awaiting Kamuro's next move, ready to take appropriate action at any time.

Just as Itosawa and Ichinose were intently observing Kamuro's every move, a faint voice suddenly came from beside them, instantly putting their nerves on edge.

"What are you doing?" a voice rang in their ears.

Ito Sawa carefully turned his head to the side, and there was Shiina behind him.

She appeared beside them at some point, her face showing a mixture of curiosity and confusion.

Ito Sawa's heart raced. He quickly assessed the situation and then whispered, "We're tracking Kamuro. She might be involved in something we want to know."

Shiina's eyes widened. She glanced at Kamuro, then at Itosawa and Ichinose, seemingly processing the information. "Do you need help?" she asked softly, her voice revealing a willingness to assist.

Ichinose nodded. She knew that more people meant more strength, especially in such a complex environment.

“We need your help to monitor the other exit in case the shrine suddenly leaves,” she whispered, pointing to the other exit of the library.

Shiina nodded, understanding her task. "Okay, I'll keep an eye out. If she goes that way, I'll let you know immediately," she replied softly, then moved silently to the designated location.

Itosawa and Ichinose turned their attention back to Kamuro. Kamuro seemed oblivious to their presence, remaining focused on the book in his hands.

Ito Sawa breathed a sigh of relief. He was surprised by Shiina's appearance, but after weighing the pros and cons, he felt that her addition was still beneficial to them, since Class C and Class B had no conflict of interest when facing Class A.

Moreover, he was eager for everyone to know about Sakayanagi's underhanded schemes, as the more people who knew, the more channels there would be for the information to spread.

Not to mention, the person asking for their help was Shiina, the second-best angel after Ichinose, so what reason did he have to refuse?

They continued to observe the shrine quietly, remaining vigilant about their surroundings. Shiina's addition gave them more confidence; they knew that as long as they stayed alert, they had a chance to uncover the secrets of the shrine.
