The result is still the same!

William clenched his fists, his body trembling slightly with immense anger and hatred. He hated his own weakness back then; the world was falling apart, the academy had been taken over, and his life was hanging by a thread.

But now... the situation isn't much different.

"No, this time it won't end the same way..." His body trembled again, this time because of his determination.

Yes, his overall strength is still far from sufficient. But he has gained his knowledge.

"Young Master... are you alright?" From the side, William looked terrible. Only Lina had the courage to ask.

In the past few minutes, William was like a ferocious beast, unable to move, enough to intimidate everyone.

"We're going to fight." William gasped, his gaze shifting between his three companions. "Tina, can you stay here for a while?"

"I'm not weak!" This little girl's behavior at this moment didn't match her age or personality. "I can fight!"

“Tina…please stay here.” Lina had to act when William turned to her. He silently pleaded with her for help.

William knew how difficult the battles to come would be. Therefore, carrying such a little girl would be a burden for them.

“Great!” Tina puffed out her cheeks, looking quite amused. At other times, William would find it amusing, even smiling or laughing.

But his heart was heavy with worry about what was about to happen.

“Stay here, don’t wander around, understand? Don’t cause any harm, don’t cause any trouble, and don’t put yourself in any danger.” Lina began to utter her long string of warnings, behaving like a mother, not just a sister.

“I’m not a little girl! I know how to handle all this!” Tina straightened her back and once again did something that was beyond her age and ability.

"Where are we going? Why are you acting like the end of the world is coming?"

Eric, who had been silent and staring blankly to the side, finally spoke up.

“Something terrible is coming at us,” William realized he had tied two girls to him, but not Allie. For a moment, he considered letting the guy go, giving him a chance to break free and escape before it was too late.

“Interesting…” But contrary to William’s expectations, Eri’s eyes lit up even more. “Then let me do my part in this war.”

"Contribution?" This phrasing left William unable to comment further. He recalled Ari's background. He was the academy's proudest student.

The word "contribution" is rarely used outside of families that come from military backgrounds and serve the country. This fits Eli's background perfectly.

"What? You don't welcome extra manpower?" Eric gave William a deep look, completely different from what William had seen in this guy before.

“Cool, I just think you might consider running for your life,” William said bluntly, noticing that Berry had returned with a small group of young men.

They were no more than twenty years old, and they all looked to be in pain. From their expressions, it was clear that William and his companions were both frightened and agitated.

From them, William could identify a familiar face; he had seen it before.

It’s Lang!

William was very impressed with the young man. He met William again after the night Lang helped Berry, when Guan Ning tried to frame him.

The group that came with Berry, led by Lang, mostly looked to be around the same age. William estimated that, if they were lucky, the strongest among them would be a third-year Silver-level Soul Master.

“Brother William, don’t insult me. My father sacrificed his life for humanity. He fell to the clutches of a monster. Don’t misunderstand, this trauma makes me yearn even more to follow in his footsteps. This path, not the path of cowardly escape, to live longer as a pathetic, dishonorable coward!”

“Well said!” At that moment, Berry walked over, away from the crowd, and stood next to William. It was Lang who spoke; as soon as he got closer, he recognized William.

“You…” He paused, looking at William with a puzzled expression, unsure of what to say or do. While Berry was unconscious, she may have missed many stressful moments, but the rest of the family’s children and younger members bore the brunt of it all.

News spread that William had been exonerated, but without any explanation. What William had done remained unknown to someone like Lang.

Therefore, instead of showing the gratitude that William should have, he gave William such a heavy look.

If it weren't for strict orders from above not to approach William or have any conflict with him, Lang would have already started fighting with him.

Lang didn't care how William cleared his name; he only cared about how William cleared his name. He still resented the previous lies.

"So...you actually asked us for help for such a fraudster?" Lang ignored William and turned to Berry, seemingly blaming her.

"What? Who's the liar?!" Berry's sudden shout and intense reaction made Lang hesitate.

“This isn’t the time to say things like that.” William knew why Lang had acted that way towards him. But clearing up the misunderstanding was urgent. “Time is running out, Wolf. Do you know when the demon tide will arrive? Any news?”

"Hey, mover, watch your words when you speak to the young master!" No sooner had William finished speaking than one of Lang's attendants blurted out, uttering such rude and sarcastic remarks: "He's a second-year disciple, a highly respected Bronze Soul Master, someone you can only admire from afar."
