Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

He had golden hair, as if he had stolen a sun and dyed it with its light.

His eyes were originally black, but now they shone with a golden luster. Apart from that, his face looked very ordinary, like any other person you'd encounter on the street, as if he had forgotten his identity.

William frowned. He hadn't expected to encounter someone at the academy who was a family member or relative he would never know.

“I’m a porter, but I was only recently officially admitted to the college.”

"When was the most recent time?" The disciple seemed unconvinced by William's words. "I just checked our list of new disciples this morning, and I haven't heard of anyone like you."

“Our young master was personally appointed by the principal just a few days ago!” Tina couldn’t help but speak in a comical, childlike voice as she said this.

She wanted to act arrogant, to do what William had taught her before. But it didn't work out as she wished, and she ended up looking as cute as any child.

Yet, faced with such cuteness, the disciple didn't even manage a smile. In fact, his face was slightly furrowed. "Are you in an academy personally assigned by the headmaster? A first-year student... a newbie, mistakenly wearing the wrong clothes... Sigh! Why do I always have to deal with such idiots? Is this karma?"

This disciple, like a madman, began to mutter to himself, his voice loud enough for the three people in front of him to hear.

William didn't know whether to laugh or cry. His luck had led him to encounter such an oddball.

As for the other two girls, they simply found this disciple rather strange. Even Tina remained silent, feeling uneasy about getting too close to him.

She moved closer to her sister and lifted her clothes protectively.

“I’m not a first-year student, I’m a second-year student,” William began to correct his student’s mistake. “I’m William, nice to meet you.”

"Thanks, but I don't want to be friends with you... Wait! You said you're already in second grade? How could that be...?!!! Is this a joke? Oliver, get down here right now! This prank isn't funny at all! Stop making these silly jokes, or else..."

Just as his earlier actions hadn't made him look any stranger, he began looking around and shouting into the air.

"Don't worry, senior, I really am a sophomore."

"Prove it to me!" The disciple immediately became serious. "I hate it when you joke! I've already seen through your tricks!"

“I’m not joking, I’m a second-year disciple.”

"Then prove it, and you'll pass!"

“That’s not fair,” William paused for a few seconds, a thought flashing in his eyes, “Why don’t we do it this way? I’ll prove I’m a sophomore, and you can come with us to the Dragon’s mansion.”

"Long Clan...Are you insane? No outsiders are allowed in without an invitation!" The disciple exclaimed in shock upon hearing William's words.

The latter simply looked at the disciple with a helpless expression. If he weren't in fourth or fifth grade, William would have already turned around and sought help from other disciples.

William had never been to the Dragon family mansion. Therefore, if he wanted to get there, he would have to seek help from others.

But faced with such an odd fellow, William became less wary and unsure how he would react if he turned to another disciple for help.

"I have already received the invitation."

“You…you’ve gone too far, well done,” the disciple clapped, as if it were a brilliant performance. “Fine. But don’t you think this is unfair to me too? What if you get scammed? What reward do I get?”

“Whatever you want, I will give it to you.” William’s demeanor showed that he knew he wasn’t lying. At other times, he would have preferred to think twice before speaking rather than make such a bold statement.

"Okay, then if you're a conman, give me this masked girl and have her serve me forever."

“Keep dreaming,” William had to hold Lena’s arm to prevent her from doing something that all three of them would regret.

In William's eyes, this guy was strong enough to kill three people without batting an eye! They would all be in danger if he didn't use his Holy Sword Technique.

But that wasn't why William stopped Lina. They were still inside the academy walls. Fighting was forbidden there.

This is a high-grade Soul Master, enough to be considered a master in his early years, and perhaps even a master among his peers.

"It's either this or it isn't!" But the disciple didn't seem to intend to back down. This made William extremely nervous.

“I accept,” William nodded, then added coldly, “but if I win, you’ll have to do the same.”

"What do you mean?"

“You will serve me forever,” William countered with his own words, just as the man had said.

Upon hearing William's words, the disciple's expression immediately changed.

"What? You dare to ask me to do things I wouldn't dare to do myself?" Lina said aggressively, satisfied with William's words and the effect they had on that rude disciple.

After all, the disciple only asked her to stay with him forever.

“No… but…” Faced with Lina’s aggressive tone, the disciple couldn’t help but try to explain. However, he seemed unable to do so.

"Is there something you need, senior?" Unlike Lina, William sensed something was amiss. "If possible, let's put everything aside and go over there."

It all started because William wanted this disciple's help. But seeing how things unfolded, and given the disciple's previous strange behavior, William no longer wanted to stay by his side.

William wanted to leave as soon as possible. As for the direction of the Long family, he would ask others.

"Well... I just can't guarantee that, because I am an arrogant disciple of the academy."

"Arrogant disciple?" William muttered to himself before finally understanding what was going on.
