Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 78 Verbal Venting

"Hmph, empty words from a liar and a traitor."

William had barely finished speaking when another voice came through, and he immediately recognized it.

“Guan Ning… what brings you here?” William stopped because his path was blocked by five people, and the leader was none other than Guan Ning.

"I heard a really funny story about a weak and powerless porter who suddenly became a powerful Bronze-level Soul Master. Is that true?"

"What does this have to do with you?" William didn't answer him, but just stood there motionless, with a mocking expression on his face, arms crossed in a challenge.

He was already in a bad mood because of what happened to the principal. Just as he was trying to overcome this, Guan Ning became the target of his frustration.

If he used to have to fear Guan Ning, then everything has changed. The two are now on the same level, Bronze-level Soul Masters.

William even suspected that Guan Ning's soul power was not much higher than his own.

"I heard you're going into second year. As the vice class monitor, I had to come and see. But this news is just a joke."

"Hmph! This is not something you can decide." William didn't linger for a second, and walked straight forward, heading towards Guan Ning and the others.

"Fighting is prohibited on campus!" Guan Ning's subordinate shouted as William approached.

"What? Are you scared?" His response was a short laugh from William and such a sarcastic remark. William shoved Guan Ning's shoulder forcefully, causing the latter's face to turn red with anger.

Just a few days ago, William was just a useless and powerless porter who would try to escape no matter which way Guan Ning went.

Now? This porter dared to walk right through their line and even boldly pat him on the shoulder. He got angry, but William didn't stop there, turning to add sarcastically:

"You're already angry? Tell me, what can you do? Run to your mother and cry? Hahahaha!"

And as he just said, what can Guan Ning do here? The academy's rules are strict for any battle within the academy's walls.

“Wait…the opportunity will soon be before me…I swear you’ll regret that filthy mouth of yours.” As William and his two little female attendants walked away, Guan Ning couldn’t help but clench his fists. Even his veins stood out.

“Young Master, we’ve already got our eyes on them,” a man next to Guan Ning leaned over and whispered. “We’ve also received intelligence that they’re going out to visit the Long family.”

"The Long family?" Guan Ning's eyes flashed with a fierce light. "Excellent! Spread this information, let everyone know. Heaven won't pity those who aren't worthy! Call everyone here, let this hot-headed fool see what's the difference between him and a vagrant." Even dogs are true descendants of powerful families like ours.

As Guan Ning muttered the traitor's motto to himself, he ordered the group to assemble. He didn't know how powerful William had become, but he wouldn't allow anger and arrogance to enter his mind.

After all, it was rumored that William had single-handedly wiped out the entire Golden Heaven Academy team. Moreover, it was said that they were bronze-level soul masters.

Therefore, he only rushed to chase after William and the other two girls after receiving confirmation from the others.

The traitors in the academy were only just beginning their real revenge on William.

But things soon calmed down after all the higher orders to prepare the team for withdrawal were issued.

They only received one simple message: do not pursue them for now.

Guan Ning was powerless to comply with such an order. He knew the other teams would retreat. If he were stronger, and if he hadn't heard the rumors about what William had done, he would have gone to test William alone long ago.

William, on the other hand, felt much better and walked towards the nearest academy gate. He had vented some of his anger, and what Guan Ning had done made him feel quite special.

Almost two weeks ago, Guan Ning made him feel powerless and helpless. Now he is repaying him doubly.

He continued walking towards the college gate, while the two girls chatted and laughed as they recounted what had just happened.

“Our big brother is terrifying, hahaha! I swear his face turned white.” Tina was still enjoying it like a child.

As for Lina, she simply gestured to William to ignore her. William knew that Tina's behavior was reminiscent of their first walk together in the forest.

"Excuse me, senior, I have a question for you." It took the three of them an hour and a half to reach the nearest gate, where William stopped in front of a patrolling guard.

"A porter? Where is your master?" William hadn't changed out of his uniform yet, giving the older disciple the wrong impression.

“Ahem, I’m now a formal disciple of the academy.” William gave the two girls a warning look, especially when Tina was about to reflexively reply in a childish way.

Things will get really bad if she's allowed to speak.

“You…I’ve never seen a disciple dressed as a porter before…” The disciple, who was at least a fifth-grade student, was tall and thin. He looked William up and down, and William looked him up and down as well.

For the first time, William did not recognize the disciple before him.
