Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 74 scared him.

“Just speak up, don’t worry, I won’t judge,” he added as he saw how conflicted she seemed as she spoke of her past world, trying to encourage her to elaborate on what was troubling her.

"Oh dear! It's like this..." When she heard his words and spoke, William was immediately startled and extremely shocked!

Everything she said was as if she were standing in front of him, watching him do everything the night before. The more she tried to describe the bizarre images that appeared in his mind, the more shocked he became.

She described precisely when he used his powers the previous night.

He did everything she said he would do, and she even described his actions very accurately.

“So I decided to come here to ask you this question. Can you explain what I experienced last night?” She paused, looked at him carefully, and then added, “I saw your face in these photos, and then it all disappeared when you came out of the garden.”

"Hmm..." Although he was quite shocked, he neither admitted nor denied doing such a thing. He controlled his expression, not allowing himself to show any unease, and calmly added, "I want to ask, how did you feel at the time?"

“This…it’s hard to describe.” She hesitated, finding it difficult to answer his question. “I feel…there’s some connection between what you did and me. Something inside me was moving, something was compelling me to do this.” And it forced me to stay motionless for hours, just staring at an empty garden, until you came out. By the way, how did you do that? It looks like you teleported there, or appeared out of thin air!”

He now realized that she hadn't seen through his protective array. This didn't make him feel any better.

His first thought was that the girl possessed a special ability to see through his formations. But that wasn't the case. She couldn't see through the concealment of his formations.

“Since that’s the case…” he muttered to himself, using her words to negate the possibility, while thinking of an even more outrageous one, “Can I ask you to do something for me?” He suddenly looked up at her and asked.

"What is it?" she asked, puzzled by his words. She had come here seeking answers, and now he wanted her to do something for him.

While William was causing trouble at the academy, she was busy training.

Tang wasn't lying; she was the real workaholic. She spent all her time training or reading ancient records and manuals in the library.

So she had no idea about the storm William had caused, and had never even heard of William's name before.

While William was fast asleep, she learned his name from the talkative Tina.

After William entered the building, she couldn't contain her curiosity for more than three hours and finally decided to go into the building to find William.

Since William hadn't left for three hours, she came in and met the two girls. Lena was quite suspicious of her, but Tina was very welcoming.

Sarah learned from the latter that they had stayed at her grandfather's invitation. Although she found it a bit strange, she had no say in such matters and didn't think much of it.

She had more important things to keep her mind occupied than to concern herself with the real reasons behind her grandfather’s strange behavior.

“I just wanted you to hold this crystal…” William took out a spirit crystal and a candle from the ring and explained it to her simply.

"This..." After his simple explanation, she couldn't help but ask, "What can this do?"

“This will demonstrate your spirit and strength, which cannot be shown through ordinary means.” William did not hide this from her.

After all, he already had a guess in his mind about the reason why she had experienced what happened last night.

He told her that if his idea came true, it would save him a lot of trouble in the future.

“Strange…” She was a knowledgeable Soul Master. She had read countless records and manuals, discovering many strange things and secrets that she couldn’t recall.

But she had never heard of such a way to test a person's spirit and strength.

William had heard from the principal that Sarah was in her third year of school. This meant that her soul power had reached the silver level, exceeding 1,500.

This is a far cry from his current situation. But it didn't disappoint him. He knew he started later than others. But he had a cheat code, which guaranteed him an advantage over his peers later on.

"Like this?" She covered the crystal with the green substance in the candlelight as he requested, and looked up to ask for confirmation.

“You did the right thing.” William nodded, his gaze never leaving the crystal in her hand.

If she came here out of curiosity about what happened last night, then William was more curious about the reasons behind what she had experienced.

After all, she can feel and see things that are impossible under normal circumstances.

The next minute, many points of light began to appear inside the small crystal.

"Wow! It looks beautiful!" Even though she was a workaholic, she was still just a young girl. Like all girls, she was attracted to beautiful things.

Unlike her, William was not attracted by the crystal's beautiful appearance, but rather by the densely packed dots inside.
