Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 63 Who is this kid?

They rarely felt this way, like frogs in a well. The formation made them feel helpless, but this feeling wasn't so oppressive for such experts.

Instead, it acts like a steroid, stimulating their will to try and break it further.

William believed this array followed a concept unknown to the world. But he was wrong. Or rather, he underestimated the genius of these brilliant masters.

The two experts failed to break the formation, but at least they grasped its principles.

“Absorbing the vast and endless spiritual energy of the universe to maintain the operation of the formation is simply a genius idea…” the principal said after realizing the problem.

“Not only that.” Kong slowly shook his head. He had grasped the concept faster than his friend: “Cosmic spiritual energy contains all the elements in the world, so no matter what element we use, it will ultimately be negated.”

"This...this is wonderful! How come I never thought of this before?"

This concept is very simple, yet incredibly powerful. This puzzled the two experienced Soul Masters, who wondered why they had never considered it before.

It was so simple that it was hard to miss, which made them admire William's master.

After all, neither of them expected that William would come up with such a realistic idea on his own.

"So how do we break this thing?" The principal was already having a huge headache over this.

“If such a concept were to fall into the hands of a Dark Soul Master… then…” A cold glint suddenly flashed in Kong’s eyes. Seeing his friend’s reaction, the headmaster misunderstood his true meaning.

"No! William doesn't belong to those bastards."

“That’s not what I think,” Sora realized his friend had misunderstood him. “I mean, if Dark Soul Masters use this concept to conceal their bases and operations, then it explains a lot, right?”

The principal understood what Kong was trying to say. "You're right. No matter how hard we try, we can't find a single one of their bases."

"We must learn how to break this formation," Kong said resolutely. "Even if we have to force this kid to tell us how, we have to!"

“Let’s test it ourselves first.” The principal knew how crazy his friend would go if something piqued his interest. And from the tone, expression, and aura he sensed from him, he knew that Kong had decided to learn how to break the formation at all costs.

They begin by trying to sabotage the array to see what William is doing, but ultimately want to unravel the mystery surrounding their deadliest enemy.

"What is that?!" The two lost their way while trying to break the formation, but they never stopped watching William.

The moment William canceled the formation and began collecting materials, the entire garden, or rather, everything that remained, was revealed to the two owners.

The scene before them shocked them both. The entire garden was in ruins; the landscape had changed drastically overnight.

Calling it a garden is no longer appropriate. In their eyes, it's a typical remnant of a long and brutal battle.

Potholes, rubble, and even smoke were billowing out from all directions... The entire garden had vanished, and even the surrounding walls showed signs of damage.

Part of the wall collapsed, and the other standing walls also had scratches and black marks.

"This..." The two exchanged a silent glance, their eyes filled with doubt and questions, and then acted simultaneously.

The two figures flashed by, appearing outside the destroyed garden in an instant, observing the massive damage around them. "My beloved garden..." The headmaster looked at the appalling state of his place, his heart filled with pain.

At this moment, William entered the building without sensing anything. The gap between him and the two men was so vast that his senses could no longer detect their presence.

"That kid... he's amazing!" Unlike the troubled principal, Kong was even more excited at the sight. "Let's go." He hadn't been gone long; the traces of what he'd done here were still there. Let's see what we can get."

"Well..." The principal was still furious about the current state of his garden.

If it weren't for the two men's close surveillance of William and the place, the principal would have suspected that an enemy had infiltrated from here to kill William.

"This...this is lightning element!" Kong first arrived at the deepest part of the cave in the center of the garden.

He knew that to leave such a deep scar, a powerful attack was necessary. That's why he chose this place as the initial scout location.

He released his soul power and began to thoroughly sense this area. What he discovered was something he couldn't be mistaken; even his expression changed, revealing genuine shock.

Fire, wind, earth, and wood are considered common elements. They are ubiquitous, and most Soul Masters and families are able to use one or more of them.

Like the Kong family, they can use fire-type spirits, while various martial souls can use earth and wind-type spirits. However, elements such as lightning, ice, darkness, and light are considered extremely rare and precious.

A person who uses even one of these elements is someone no Soul Master might encounter even once. And now, Kong sensed the presence of one of these elements within the traces left by William.

"Who is this kid?!" Kong muttered to himself, highly doubting his knowledge of William so far.
