Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 369 Golden Fork Restaurant

"Don't make a fuss here. These two distinguished guests seem to be people who pursue quality at all costs," a middle-aged man with elegant manners suddenly walked from the direction of a stall, accompanied by three seemingly strong spiritualist guards, and calmly approached them. "Please allow me to accompany you to the most exquisite and luxurious place in this fortress."

"Golden Fork Restaurant?!" Luo's exclamation made William realize just how famous this restaurant was.

“Indeed, miss,” the old man bowed slightly, then turned to William. “Sir, would you like to try our simple food and delicious dishes?”

“Of course, why not?” William shrugged. He wasn’t particularly interested in fine food and wine, but he had been eating dry rations for days on end.

He wouldn't refuse to treat himself to a nice meal, especially if it would put the girl next to him in an even deeper predicament.

Luo immediately understood William's carefree attitude. If she had harbored any doubts about his financial strength before, those doubts had now completely vanished.

“I can’t afford it here,” she whispered, as the two followed the middle-aged man to an open space where an elegant-looking black tent was pitched.

“I’ll pay for it all,” William even winked and blew her a kiss. In response, her face immediately darkened, and she silently followed behind William and the middle-aged man, while the other restaurant staff cast envious glances at her.

The others who arrived earlier surrounded the two, watching their retreating figures with a mixture of regret and envy. What they saw was two fat sheep voluntarily walking towards the slaughterhouse.

Out of their pure and kind hearts, they felt no remorse. They only regretted their lack of imagination and creativity, which allowed these two wealthy people to slip through their fingers and their spirit crystals to end up in someone else's pocket.

“Sir, our stall is the most expensive in the entire fortress! Please follow me!” A few minutes later, another group of customers came over, and one of them decided to take the risk of luring them to his stall, having learned from the lesson of the Golden Fork Merchant.

"Get out of here! So what if you're the most expensive? Why don't you come and beat us up?!" Before the words were even finished, one of them started hurling insults at the poor salesman. He didn't stop there; instead, he punched the salesman in the face, sending him flying through the air. The salesman cried out inwardly, questioning what he had done wrong to be compared to that middle-aged man.

William and Rowe were already seated inside the enormous tent. The tent was entirely black, with many small gold fork patterns dotting the black ground, and the restaurant's name written on it in elegant lettering.

“This restaurant is so expensive, yet so crowded,” William muttered, noticing that nearly 70% of the tables were occupied.

“It has an excellent reputation,” Luo said with a grim face. “I’m warning you again, a meal here will cost one million spirit crystals!”

"Don't tell me you're so poor, hahaha!" William knew this was the girl's weakness. But he simply couldn't believe that such a stunning beauty didn't have much money.

“I only have a little over a million,” she rolled her eyes, “but to waste all my wealth on a single meal is insane!”

"Welcome to our store. This is your welcome drink for your first visit."

Before he could respond and make her life even worse, a waiter appeared, dressed in gold and black armor from neck to toe.

“Thank you,” William said, then asked, “How did you know this was our first time here?”

“We’ve invited a master medium with memory preservation skills,” the waiter said, bringing over two glasses and pouring pink liquid into them. “Please enjoy.”

“I love it here,” William said, taking a sip of his drink and feeling a refreshing sensation wash over him. “It’s amazing! They actually use such high-grade healing potions as a welcome drink? Damn it! All I ever wanted in my life was to be rich, not strong!”

“Add me in too,” Luo’s face brightened from its gloom, and after taking a sip of what was in her cup, a joyful smile appeared on her face. “They are not just famous for nothing.”

“I completely agree,” William nodded, picked up the menu, but his eyes froze instantly.

"What's wrong? Have you realized how poor you are? Hahaha!" Seeing him suddenly frown, Luo couldn't help but laugh. William was startled by the prices, and she was overjoyed.

William was genuinely astonished, not by the price, but by the quality of the food. The meat, spices, and even the cooking agents were all of the highest quality.

He recited the names of many famous monsters from around the world, all of which had appeared in this place. William's furrowed brows instantly relaxed, replaced by a radiant smile that made Luo's laughter choke in his throat, and his face turn slightly purple.

"Cough! What's wrong? Cough!"

“I’m just excited,” William said. He knew that if he could eat such a large meal for several months in a row, he could make up for all the nutritional deficiencies his body had suffered since the day he was born!

If he continues to eat here for a long time, his body will become stronger, taller, and broader, and muscles will grow all over his body.

"Waiter, please," William said after only glancing at the price list, which disappointed Luo, who was taking another sip from his glass, so he splashed the medicine on the waiter's face.

I'd like to ask if there's a membership system here? Like, the kind that allows me to eat here for a month, several months, or even a year?
