"Who are we looking for? Everyone's already gathered here!"

Just as Bailey screamed, a thin tear streaking her cheek, a familiar voice rang out from behind, startling everyone. Then the entire group turned around and saw William emerge from behind several dense trees.

"You... I swear to God, all I want right now is to beat you to a pulp!"

Just as Ibra was expressing his joy at William's return without anger, a figure flashed past like a bullet and embraced William's body.

Without any warning, Berry's fine tears turned into a flood, even soaking William's clothes.

“Don’t mind it,” William said, feeling uneasy about Berry’s strong reaction to his appearance. After his failed attempt, he lost his sense of counting and time, and didn’t wake up until the sun was setting.

He knew he had slept for a long time, something he couldn't avoid. After all, the consequences of this failure weren't any more severe than before.

"What do you take me for? A punching bag? I'm your boss!"

“You’ve disappeared for a whole day without leaving a trace! Even when we tried to contact you through the newsletter, we got nowhere! What a trustworthy leader you are!” Ibrahimovic snorted, while the others sensed something was off between the two.

They were all terribly worried about William, but Ibrahimovic seemed to have bitten him at this moment. This was very strange. Instead of being happy about his return, Ibrahimovic wanted to cause trouble for William.

They couldn't get it because Ibra kept his little argument with William a secret from everyone.

Therefore, even when Ibrahimovic turned his attention to seeking intervention and support from others, no one showed any sign of approval or support for his words and attitude.

“Stop causing trouble,” William said, seeing right through the troublemaker’s intentions. “Tell me, what happened while I was away?”

"Tell us where you've been all this time!"

“I already told you, let it go.” William rolled his eyes, then looked at Berry, who lay quietly in his arms, making no sound. The more he looked at her face, the more certain he was that something terrible must have happened while he was away.

“Tell me what happened while I was away?” He then turned his gaze to his other deputy commanders.

“We were just worried, coming all this way to find you.” Sarah hadn’t spoken out in support of Ibrahimovic before because she felt there was some untold history between them. However, this didn’t mean she had completely forgiven William’s sudden absence. “We went out and fought terrible monsters, and we got hurt a lot.”

“Hmm…you are indeed very courageous and loyal,” William chuckled. Before Sarah or anyone else could speak, he touched his ring, producing enough potions to heal everyone. “Take these first and heal our wounds before doing anything else…don’t tell me you got all these wounds without killing a single person. There’s only one monster there.”

William noticed that most of his team members had suffered numerous and ugly wounds. Almost all of the members below the Silver rank were injured, with the white members suffering the most severe injuries.

"Ahem..." As soon as he made a joke, he couldn't help but notice that everyone's expression changed and turned serious. He cleared his throat, feeling that this time he had hit the mark without hesitation. "At least tell me that you have obtained information about the type of monsters waiting for us outside."

“We encountered ten different monsters,” Ibra explained first, “and I’ll draw them for you.”

“It’s not you!” William was immediately frightened by Ibra’s words: “Let someone else do it, anyone can tell me or draw the shapes of these monsters.”

"But... I already drew one for you, and you recognized it at a glance!"

“Don’t even mention it!” William glared at Ibra warningly, remembering how the guy was almost finished with a jigsaw puzzle, but it wasn’t helping at all. “Who else?” He looked around, searching for someone other than Ibra to complete the task.

“Sorry, buddy, I’ll do it for you,” John cleared his throat, seemingly more afraid of angering Ibra than answering William’s request.

“Then let’s get started,” Ibra crossed his arms and leaned against his sword. “I want to see who is the genius painter who can paint a better monster than me.”

“Ignore him,” William said, wondering where the guy got his confidence from. “Draw what you can, and explain it in words so I can better imagine it.”

Since his tormenting experience with Ibra, William has come to believe that painting alone is not enough.
