"This place doesn't look simple," Caesar said in a low voice, raising his rune sword slightly, ready to strike at any moment.

“It’s the core of the Camarilla ruins,” Chu Zihang replied calmly, his gaze sweeping over the cracks. “The seal here is much stronger than the one before, but it’s already starting to crumble.”

"Is it the Dragon King's will again?" Tian frowned, looking uneasily at the dark crack. "If so, what should we do now? We didn't come here to fight head-on."

Chu Zihang did not answer immediately. He turned his gaze to Xia Mi and said in a low voice, "Xia Mi, you should know what this place is, right?"

Xia Mi paused slightly, but quickly regained her composure. She looked up at Chu Zihang, her smile still warm: "Chu Zihang, are you doubting me again?"

“I don’t doubt you, I just need the truth.” Chu Zihang’s gaze was as cold and sharp as a knife as he stared straight at her. “What have you been hiding? It’s time to make it clear.”

Xia Mi remained silent for a moment, then sighed, the smile in her eyes gradually fading. She turned around, her gaze falling on the altar, her expression revealing an indescribable complexity.

“Yes, I know.” Her voice became deep and steady, losing some of its usual lightness. “This… is the ruins of Jormungandr.”

“Jormungandr?” Lu Mingfei repeated subconsciously, his eyes filled with doubt. “Who is that?”

“One of the four great rulers of the Dragon Clan, the King of Earth and Mountains,” Tian added in a heavy tone, a hint of wariness flashing in his eyes. “This is a being who can be compared with the King of Bronze and Fire.”

"How do you know all this?" Caesar asked coldly, his eyes sharpening. "More importantly, what is your relationship with this place?"

Xia Mi turned her head, her gaze towards the group gradually becoming deep and distant. A complex smile appeared on her lips, her voice tinged with helplessness and self-mockery: "Because, I am Jormungandr."

The air seemed to freeze the moment those words were spoken.

Lu Mingfei's eyes widened, and the dagger almost slipped from his hand: "You, you're kidding me? Xia Mi, aren't you our classmate? How could you possibly be the Dragon King?"

Tian quickly raised his rune gun, his eyes filled with vigilance: "If this is true, then why are you here with us?"

Caesar sneered, his rune sword slightly raised: "As expected, I knew you weren't simple. What brings you close to us? Is it a Camarilla conspiracy, or a dragon plan?"

Faced with everyone's questions, Xia Mi remained calm. Her gaze lingered on each person's face before finally settling on Chu Zihang.

"Approaching you was my choice," she said softly, a hint of sadness in her voice. "But my purpose is not to harm you, but to... protect you."

“Protect?” Chu Zihang’s gaze remained cold and stern. “Don’t try to fool us with such vague words. If you are Jormungandr, your power and your identity don’t require you to be near us. What are you hiding?”

Xia Mi did not answer directly. She slowly walked towards the altar, raised her hand to touch the ancient carvings on it, and spoke in a voice so soft it was as if she were talking to herself: "The will of Jormungandr has been sleeping here all along. The collapse of the seal means that it is awakening. If it is fully revived, the whole world will be plunged into disaster."

She turned around, her eyes filled with an indescribable determination: "I am Jormungandr, but that doesn't mean I am it. You can question my identity, but at least for now, we share the same goal—to stop its resurgence."

Chu Zihang was silent for a moment, then slightly loosened his grip on the Dragon Cutter. His gaze remained wary, but his voice was low: "If you have a way, then prove it to us."

Xia Mi nodded gently, turned around to look at the dark crack, and slowly clasped her hands together, as if awakening some dormant power. An invisible energy surged in the air, and her figure was shrouded in red light, gradually becoming blurry and mysterious.

“If I fail…” her voice came from the light, carrying an unprecedented heaviness, “just pretend I never existed.”

The light from the crack grew increasingly dazzling, while the rest of the team could only stand still, watching all this warily, gripping their weapons, ready to face any possible sudden crisis.

The red light emanating from the crack grew increasingly intense, like a slumbering beast on the verge of awakening. Xia Mi stood in the center of the altar, her figure engulfed by the light, seemingly merging with that ancient and violent power. The dragon aura in the air grew ever stronger, the oppressive feeling almost suffocating.

Chu Zihang gripped the Dragon Cutter tightly, his gaze fixed on Xia Mi, his tone icy: "Xia Mi, what exactly do you want to do? Don't let this get out of control!"

"Relax, Chu Zihang." Xia Mi's voice came from the light, with her usual composure and gentleness. "If I really wanted something to happen to you, I wouldn't have waited until now."

"The question is, what exactly are you doing?" Tian said through gritted teeth, his rune gun already charged and ready to fire at any moment. "Don't tell me you're still 'protecting' us!"

Xia Mi did not answer, but closed her eyes and slowly reached her hands towards the crack. The light in the crack seemed to tremble violently because of her movements, the ground around her began to crack, and a low roar came from underground, as if some will was struggling to break free from the seal.

Lu Mingfei's eyes widened, his heart pounding as if it would leap out of his chest. Standing at the back of the line, he was so nervous he could barely speak: "Chu Zihang, is she... breaking the seal?"

"Don't make wild guesses!" Chu Zihang said in a low voice, his eyes fixed on Xia Mi. "She wouldn't be that stupid."

However, Caesar scoffed, "Who knows? After all, she is Jormungandr. Perhaps this is her true purpose."

"You can choose to believe me," Xia Mi's voice came from within the red light, her figure still shrouded in the light, so blurry that it was almost impossible to see, "or not believe me. But either way, it's not up to you now."

The light from the crack suddenly coalesced into a thick pillar of light, shooting straight into the sky and instantly tearing a gash in the heavens. The dragon aura permeating the air almost materialized, binding everyone like invisible chains.

"She's channeling that power!" Tian exclaimed, his eyes filled with alarm. "We have to stop her!"

Chu Zihang did not act immediately. He looked deeply at Xia Mi, his heart filled with complex emotions. He knew that if Xia Mi really wanted to revive Jormungandr's will, they probably couldn't stop her, but her gaze and her tone didn't seem like those of an enemy.

"Chu Zihang!" Caesar shouted urgently, his rune sword already gleaming with blue light. "What exactly are you going to do? Attack or not?"

Chu Zihang did not answer. He simply gripped the Dragon Cutter tightly, his gaze sharp as a knife as he stared at the light, as if waiting for something.

At this moment, Xia Mi's voice came again, mixed with a trace of exhaustion and indescribable pain: "Just a little longer... it will be over soon."

Within the pillar of light, a vague shadow gradually emerged. It was a gigantic dragon's head, its scales like mountains, its eyes like raging flames. It slowly raised its head, its deep roar deafening, as if the entire world was responding to its rage.

"My God!" Lu Mingfei's eyes widened, his voice filled with terror. "Is that Jormungandr? We're doomed!"

"Shut up, Lu Mingfei!" Tian gritted his teeth and growled, his finger tightly gripping the trigger of the rune gun. "Ready to fire at any moment!"

Without further hesitation, Caesar raised his rune sword and charged forward. However, just as he was about to take a step, Xia Mi suddenly turned around, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes.

"Don't move." Her voice wasn't loud, but it carried an irresistible authority. "It hasn't fully awakened yet. If you interrupt it now, it will only cause the seal to collapse completely."

"Why should we believe you!" Caesar said coldly, but his steps paused slightly.

“You have no choice.” Xia Mi turned back, placing her hands on the crack again, her voice low but firm, “Believe me, this time… I’m on your side.”
