Xia Mi smiled and sighed softly: "Chu Zihang, are you this harsh on everyone? Or is it just that you don't trust me at all?"

Chu Zihang did not respond, but tightened his grip on the Dragon Cutter slightly. His intuition had never been wrong, and Xia Mi in front of him made him feel an indescribable unease.

Suddenly, the red light flashed again, and the runes vibrated more violently, as if some force was breaking free from its restraints. The ground began to crack, and a scorching and oppressive aura filled the air.

Caesar and Tian rushed back and, seeing the scene before them, immediately assumed fighting stances. Caesar frowned and looked at Chu Zihang: "What's going on?"

"The altar's energy is being activated," Chu Zihang said in a deep voice, his gaze still fixed on Xia Mi.

Caesar glanced at Xia Mi and raised an eyebrow, saying, "Are you two arguing? Now is not the time for infighting."

Tianze looked at the runes in the center of the altar, his brows furrowed: "This thing doesn't seem like an ordinary seal... it's more like a guide."

"Guide what?" Lu Mingfei couldn't help but ask, his voice trembling slightly.

“Guiding the power of the dragon race.” Chu Zihang’s voice was as cold as ice. He turned to look at the runes, his tone becoming more alert. “And it is a high-level dragon will.”

Caesar chuckled coldly. "This is getting more and more interesting. But we should hurry up and find a way to destroy it, shouldn't we?"

Chu Zihang nodded and was about to make a move when Xia Mi suddenly stepped forward and blocked him from the altar.

"You can't destroy it." Her voice was soft, yet it carried an undeniable firmness.

"Why?" Chu Zihang's gaze fell on her again, his voice low and dangerous.

Xia Mi met his gaze, the smile finally fading from her face, her tone serious and calm: "Because this is not just an altar. If you destroy it, the energy here will completely spiral out of control, and the consequences will be more serious than you imagine."

Chu Zihang frowned: "How do you know all this?"

“Intuition,” Xia Mi said with a smile, her tone light and cheerful. She then turned around and turned her gaze back to the altar. Her fingers lightly touched the runes, as if sensing something.

“Your ‘intuition’ is far too accurate,” Caesar said coldly from the side, his tone full of doubt.

Xia Mi ignored his sarcasm, focused on the runes for a moment, and then slowly said, "The power of this altar is incomplete. Its purpose is to awaken a dormant will, but its current state is more like an abandoned endeavor. If you forcibly destroy it, you will release the remaining power, and then this area will become a wasteland, and even... it will affect more distant places."

"So, you have a way to solve this?" Tian asked, his tone tinged with uncertainty.

Xia Mi smiled slightly, her tone relaxed: "Of course. But you'll have to give me some time."

"This is too illogical," Caesar muttered, his rune sword still charging up.

Chu Zihang stared at Xia Mi's retreating figure, remained silent for a moment, and finally said in a low voice, "Give her five minutes. If she can't handle it, we'll take matters into our own hands."

Xia Mi didn't turn around, but simply nodded, gently placing her hands on the runes and closing her eyes, as if communicating with the altar. After a moment, the light from the runes gradually subsided, and the scorching aura slowly diminished.

Everyone stood silently, no one speaking, but their eyes were fixed on Xia Mi. Time passed second by second, and finally the light of the runes completely went out, and the altar returned to its original still state.

Xia Mi slowly opened her eyes, turned around and smiled at everyone: "Alright, you can rest assured now."

Chu Zihang stared at her, his gaze so deep it was unfathomable. He said nothing more, simply sheathing the Dragon Cutter and turning to lead the way away from the altar.

Xia Mi stood there, watching his retreating figure, a complex emotion flickering in her eyes. She lowered her head and sighed softly, then quickly caught up with the group, her flawless smile returning to her face.

As the group moved away from the altar, the oppressive atmosphere gradually dissipated, but an invisible tension quietly permeated the air. Chu Zihang walked at the head of the group, his gaze cold and his steps steady. He didn't look back, but his thoughtful expression revealed that he remained vigilant.

Caesar broke the silence, a slight smile playing on his lips, his tone tinged with a hint of teasing: "Xia Mi, your methods are truly surprising. How exactly did you manage to take care of that altar just now?"

Xia Mi walked beside Lu Mingfei and smiled slightly when she heard this: "Intuition. I've said it before, a woman's intuition is very accurate."

"Intuition?" Caesar chuckled, clearly unconvinced. "Your 'intuition' is far too detailed. Even we couldn't handle the altar, but you solved it with ease."

“Perhaps you should learn how to trust girls.” Xia Mi raised an eyebrow, her smile bright.

Tian interjected from the side, his tone tinged with a hint of probing: "However, Xia Mi, your knowledge is far too broad, isn't it? You even know the details of these dragon ruins... Have you studied these things before?"

Xia Mi shrugged and said with a smile, "I'm a student at Kassel College, shouldn't I have learned this knowledge?"

Tian snorted, clearly dissatisfied with the answer. He wanted to press further, but was interrupted by a cold glare from Chu Zihang.

"Enough with the nonsense," Chu Zihang said in a low voice, his gaze sweeping over each person in the group. "We're not out of danger yet, let's keep going."

Everyone tacitly fell silent and continued on their way. Lu Mingfei followed behind Xia Mi, his mind in turmoil. The more he thought about it, the more he felt that Xia Mi's behavior was off, yet he couldn't bring himself to truly suspect her. He always felt that she was deliberately hiding something, but behind that hiding lay an indescribable tenderness.

"Hey, Xia Mi..." He finally mustered up the courage to speak, his voice hesitant, "Are you really... just an ordinary student?"

Xia Mi turned her head and glanced at him, her smile gentle and bright: "Lu classmate, why do you ask that? Don't I look like it?"

“No, it’s just…” Lu Mingfei scratched his head, his voice trailing off, “I always feel like you know a lot more than we do.”

Xia Mi smiled slightly and said in a gentle tone, "That's because you're always daydreaming and don't pay attention in class, so of course you think I'm amazing."

Lu Mingfei was speechless, left with an awkward laugh. But his doubts didn't disappear; instead, they deepened.

The clouds on the horizon grew thicker, and the faint rumble of thunder could be heard. A damp scent filled the air. Caesar glanced up at the sky and said in a low voice, "It's going to rain. We need to find somewhere to take shelter as soon as possible."

"There's an abandoned building ahead," Chu Zihang's voice came from ahead. He pointed to a hillside not far away. "That should provide temporary shelter from the rain."

The group quickened their pace and soon arrived at the abandoned buildings. It was a dilapidated stone house, its doors and windows long since broken, and its walls covered with cracks and vines. A damp and rotten smell filled the air, making them feel somewhat uncomfortable.

"Make do for now." Caesar pushed open the dilapidated wooden door and went in first. He glanced around to make sure there was no danger, then beckoned the others to come in.

Chu Zihang sat near the door, remaining vigilant. Caesar and Tianze each found a spot to sit and began checking their weapons. Lu Mingfei leaned against the wall, absentmindedly fiddling with his short sword, glancing at Xia Mi every now and then.

Xia Mi sat on a rock by the window, her hands supporting her chin, gazing at the gloomy sky outside. She didn't speak, her expression somewhat dazed.

The rain started falling quickly, large raindrops pattering against the dilapidated roof. Inside, all was quiet, save for the sound of the rain and the occasional rumble of thunder.

Chu Zihang suddenly stood up, walked to Xia Mi's side, and said in a low voice, "You've been spacing out since just now."

Xia Mi turned around and saw Chu Zihang's face so close to hers. She was slightly taken aback, then smiled and said, "Classmate Chu Zihang, are you concerned about me?"
