The Road to Godhood in Honor of Kings

Chapter 8 The Eye of Deception (Part 1)

"Could it be an illusion? Or have I gained superpowers, like X-ray vision?" Han Cheng had a bold idea.

However, a short while later, his parents really did come in from outside the ward, and they looked exactly the same as he had just seen: his father was wearing a black jacket and jeans, and his mother was wearing a floral top and black pants.

"Boy! Could I really have X-ray vision?" Han Cheng was secretly surprised. He secretly glanced at the bag his mother was carrying. There was a roast chicken inside. If he really had superpowers, then... there must be a roast chicken in the bag!

"Son, how could this happen?" Mom said with a worried look on her face, and Dad also looked worried.

"It's nothing, just an accident!" Han Cheng said. He didn't want his parents to know that it was Xing Feng's fault, and besides, knowing would only make his parents worry, since there was no evidence and Xing Feng's family was very rich.

Afterwards, his parents chatted with the homeroom teacher and classmates for a while, and reminded Han Cheng to pay attention to safety in the future. Then, they actually took out a roast chicken and some other food from the bag.

At this moment, Han Cheng was completely shocked, not because the food looked delicious, but because there really was a roast chicken in the bag!

Suppressing the inexplicable impulse in his heart, Han Cheng silently ate his food and followed the doctor's instructions to rest in bed. He could only be discharged when he was fine, which meant that he would have to stay in this wretched hospital for a while longer. Just thinking about it made him feel heartbroken!

"But before that, I need to familiarize myself with my own abilities!" Han Cheng said softly.

With a casual glance, one can see what's behind an object simply by using their thoughts. However, it's best to first assess the radius of your perception ability and determine just how far away you can actually see through objects.

"I got into a car accident, but not only was I not injured, I also gained X-ray vision. It seems I should thank Xing Feng!" Han Cheng thought to himself, but then he felt something was wrong. Why should he thank Xing Feng? His purpose was not to help him gain superpowers.

After some experimentation, Han Cheng discovered that he could see through anything he could see, and he could see into any layer he wanted. However, he didn't want to use his superpower for anything shady; he wasn't a voyeur, but a person of principle.

"Sigh, I just don't know how this superpower will be useful for playing Honor of Kings!" Han Cheng had already opened Honor of Kings.

"Let's try a match first!"

There are quite a few players in Honor of Kings. Every time you click to start, you can be matched with other players instantly.

Upon entering the hero selection screen, instantly select Han Xin and equip him with the Summoner Spell Smite.

However, what Han Cheng originally intended to do was play a casual match for fun turned into encountering a capricious character.

At level one, Han Cheng uses the first part of his first skill, [Ruthless Charge], to jump to the bush next to the enemy's red buff. The enemy jungler is Miyamoto, who will definitely start with the red buff. Even if it's not a mana-less hero like Miyamoto, junglers generally still prioritize the red buff. Therefore, Han Cheng has a good chance of counter-jungling from this position. Han Cheng doesn't immediately position himself in a straight line opposite the red buff, because if Miyamoto uses his wind skill and he gets caught in it, he'll be exposed.

Not long after, the enemy Miyamoto arrived, sporting the Onimusha skin. He unleashed several red tornadoes and used Smite, leaving the Red Buff with very low health. This showed that Miyamoto hadn't calculated the Red Buff's health accurately, as there was no damage display from any Smite attack, and Miyamoto hadn't considered the possibility of someone invading the jungle.

Han Cheng's Han Xin used Smite to instantly take the red buff, leveling up to level two immediately. He then jumped on Miyamoto and began to beat him up. Besides the level advantage, Miyamoto, having also used his skills as the jungler, dared not linger and quickly fled. Han Cheng, observing the minimap and finding no other enemies coming to support Miyamoto, continued to attack him.

With the red buff's burn and slow effect, and Miyamoto having leveled up his first skill at level one, the wind he used while being chased by Han Cheng was dodged by Han Cheng's movement. The system notification sound from FirstBlood soon rang out.

That's how Han Xin plays as a jungler. In the early game, you can be a bit aggressive, invading the enemy jungle and counter-jungling at level one. Either I get first blood, or you get first blood (though if the enemy provides timely support, you might end up giving up first blood). In short, I farm your jungle and I farm mine. Only by having an economic advantage can Han Xin have a chance to win.

666!

It was Miyamoto, a local official, who said this, which surprised Han Cheng. But what was even more surprising was yet to come.

Han Cheng had two junglers on his team: Han Xin and Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong didn't bring Smite but insisted on jungling, which gave him a headache. However, having two junglers was already a good thing; he remembered seeing four junglers on his team at the start of ranked matches when he first started playing King of Glory. He'd seen this scenario more than once.

After stealing some jungle camps, Han Cheng went back to farm his own blue buff. The mid laner didn't ask for the blue buff, and he didn't have to give it to him. It was better for him to take it himself, since the jungler also needed to farm.

However, when the blue buff was reduced to below half health, their own Monkey King arrived to steal it, immediately using Smite. Fortunately, Monkey King's Smite didn't kill the blue buff; it still had a sliver of health. Han Cheng finished it off with a single Smite, and then... Monkey King wouldn't have it...

"Damn it, you idiot Han Xin! You stole my jungle!" the monkey cursed.

"I attacked first, you were trying to steal my jungle," Han Cheng replied. The monkey took a long time to respond, probably because he couldn't pronounce the pinyin well, and was likely a primary school student.

"I'm not playing anymore, I'm giving it away! You idiot!"

Then, the monkey started to dive under the enemy's turret. Of course, the enemy wouldn't let go of a free kill. With a single skill, they took down the monkey, who was half-dead from the turret's attacks.

Then, the monkey came back to life and continued delivering food.

"Damn it!" Han Cheng cursed. Not only Han Cheng, but the other teammates were also extremely annoyed.

"You stupid monkey! I just saw him try to steal Han Xin's blue buff, and when he failed, he started feeding!" This was said by Diao Chan in the mid lane.

"Idiot monkey! Don't forget to report this monkey after you're done!" Marco Polo in the bottom lane said.

His teammate's words made Han Cheng realize that there is still true kindness in the world, and he was determined to play even better!

Even faster, the dragon spawned, and Han Cheng's Han Xin rushed over, but the enemy had already started the dragon. Although he managed to get a kill on the enemy Miyamoto, the Monkey King had already given away at least three kills, and the enemy's economy was already ahead.

However, Han Cheng knew that the enemy had already activated the dragon not because he had arrived, but because he clearly saw the avatars of several enemy players moving within the dragon's circle.
