The Road to Godhood in Honor of Kings

Chapter 63 A Small Showdown (Part 2)

"How about that, Fatty? I'll teach you to betray us!" Sun Wukong looked at Fatty, who was standing not far away. Fatty didn't dare to swear because the homeroom teacher was right there.

Apart from one Zhong Kui with Night Ice, the rest of Sun Bin and Luna are developing worse and worse, especially Luna with the homeroom teacher, who doesn't even have as much economy as Sun Wukong's Zhong Kui.

Four minutes in, Xu Xiaomeng's Wu Zetian, at half health, was hooked into the turret by Ye Bing's Zhong Kui and instantly killed by focused fire. Four and a half minutes in, Sun Hou's Sun Bin was also hooked into the turret by the enemy Zhong Kui and died under the turret again. Although Han Cheng's Shiranui Mai hadn't been killed yet, with his teammates dead, a 1v3 or 2v3 situation was unrealistic. Part of their jungle was being invaded, and their advantage was being reduced.

Six minutes later, the fat guy sent a provocative message: "Surrender is in the settings."

Provoked, Sun Wukong acted rashly, and his support attempted a tower dive to kill Han Cheng's team, only to be killed by the opposing team, whose economy had now surpassed that of Han Cheng's team.

"I..." Sun Hou looked apologetically at Han Cheng and Xu Xiaomeng, "I thought he was down to his last sliver of health, and one skill would have finished him off, but who knew they would suddenly send two more people..."

"Impulsiveness is the devil!" Han Cheng and Xu Xiaomeng said this in unison. Sun Hou smiled and scratched his head, saying nothing more. In the end, he still acted recklessly. After all, it's normal for the side with the advantage to act recklessly, especially when there's the element of provocation from the other side. This is what makes many disadvantageous situations turn into comebacks.

"Mid lane, team fight," Han Cheng said, his eyes never leaving his phone screen.

"Ding..." Sun Wukong sent a signal that he was on his way. This guy was going to the middle lane with Han Cheng, but he still sent such a signal. Han Cheng smiled helplessly.

"Okay!" Xu Xiaomeng also rushed to the middle lane. At this time, the opposing team was already taking advantage of their economic strength to push the tower as a group. They had to engage in a team fight.

"Monkey, hook the enemy Zhong Kui, and immediately activate your ultimate as soon as you use your second skill," Han Cheng said. Sun Wukong was a little surprised. Why hook a tank? Even if he hooks him into the tower, he might not be able to kill Zhong Kui, let alone Zhong Kui played by Ye Bing.

“Alright!” Sun Wukong replied.

"Remember to use R-Flash when necessary," Han Cheng instructed. R-Flash is a term borrowed from League of Legends, referring to using Flash to activate your ultimate. It's typically used by tanks with delayed ultimates to initiate team fights, such as Lian Po and Zhong Kui, or by mages to engage at opportune moments, most notably Wang Zhaojun. R-Flash is actually quite difficult to master in King of Glory because it's not easy to perfectly time both skills. Against ultimates with short delays, you might Flash in only to find the ultimate has already ended. Therefore, mastering this technique requires practice. Of course, besides R-Flash, other skills can also be used in conjunction with Flash to maximize their effectiveness, but smaller skills are generally not as useful as ultimates. Wasting a Flash on a smaller skill isn't worthwhile unless it's a life-or-death or crucial moment. For example, Yu Ji can use her first skill followed by Flash. If the distance is insufficient, the first skill needs to be initiated first, and after Flash landing, the first skill can be used to finish off low-health enemies. However, this is more effective in one-on-one situations. Another skill is Bai Qi's second skill, but it's difficult to time well. Bai Qi's second skill has a relatively short delay; if you use it too early, the skill will have already ended by the time you flash in, and if you use it too late, the opponent will dodge it. Ideally, you should use the second skill as soon as you land to hook someone. However, in actual combat, if Bai Qi hooks someone but his teammates don't follow up, the hook is useless and a wasted flash. But Bai Qi is generally played as a support, while marksmen are ranged. Bai Qi's flash hook gives the marksman more time to deal damage, making this technique quite practical.

Okay, enough rambling. Let's get to the point.

Sure enough, as soon as he got online, Sun Wukong immediately launched a hook, targeting Zhong Kui, who was in front of Sun Bin. Han Cheng believed that Zhong Kui should be able to dodge the hook, but if he did, then Sun Bin behind him would die.

Therefore, he wouldn't dodge. Sure enough, Ye Bing didn't dodge and was hooked outside the tower by Sun Wukong.

At this moment, Sun Hou was in front, with Xu Xiaomeng and Han Cheng behind him. Sun Hou immediately activated his ultimate skill on the spot, and Ye Bing, after being hooked, also immediately activated his ultimate skill (R-Flash). Just before being pulled in by Sun Hou, he flashed behind him and pulled in Xu Xiaomeng. However, Zhong Kui's ultimate skill has limited damage in the early game, and even if it hits completely, the damage won't be too explosive. Moreover, Han Cheng had anticipated Ye Bing's move, so he dodged in advance and used his first skill to knock up Ye Bing's Zhong Kui, interrupting the skill. At this moment, Sun Hou also flashed back and used his ultimate skill to pull in Ye Bing's Zhong Kui. Although Sun Hou's ultimate skill lasted for a little over a second, if Zhong Kui flashes to activate his ultimate skill, the duration of the ultimate skill will be refreshed after the flash. That is to say, if you have only one second left on your ultimate skill and you suddenly flash, the ultimate skill will start absorbing the remaining time again, instead of just absorbing the remaining time.

Han Cheng had Sun Wukong hook Ye Bing for two reasons. First, Ye Bing's forward positioning made it impossible for him to hook the enemy's carry, so he was the only option. Second, Ye Bing's Zhong Kui was an unpredictable factor, more so than the other enemy heroes.

Now that Sun Wukong has restrained Ye Bing, Han Cheng and Xu Xiaomeng can focus on dealing damage without worry.

"Whoosh!" Mai Shiranui threw a Flower Butterfly Fan at Luna, Sun Bin unleashed his ultimate move but Han Cheng dodged it with a roll, and Han Cheng then unleashed his ultimate move to knock Sun Bin away.

"Meng, unleash your ultimate!" Han Cheng shouted to Xu Xiaomeng the moment Sun Bin was knocked into the air. Wu Zetian's ultimate had a delay, which could be dodged, unlike Karthus in League of Legends, which was guaranteed to hit. However, Wu Zetian's ultimate could be stacked, making it extremely useful in team fights.

Released with the power of life and death, Sun Bin and Zhong Kui were both stunned, while the homeroom teacher's Luna didn't even try to dodge...

Xu Xiaomeng and Han Cheng unleashed a combo that instantly killed Sun Bin and left Luna with very low health. Although Ye Bing's Zhong Kui had awakened, he was entangled with Sun Hou's Zhong Kui and couldn't provide any support.

Soon, Luna, the homeroom teacher, awoke from the control. She turned around, marked Han Cheng with her first skill, unleashed her ultimate, followed by her second skill and ultimate... and was instantly killed...

Luna actually has many combos. Immediately using her ultimate after casting a skill to refresh it is a combo that doesn't require fast hand speed. Combos that require fast hand speed need to use the short recovery time after casting the ultimate to quickly land a basic attack. This way, you can quickly apply the mark generated by three basic attacks. If you have fast hand speed, you can cast three ultimates in one go. I won't go into the specific combos in detail now, I've already talked enough...

Finally, Han Cheng and Xu Xiaomeng rushed back and took down Zhong Kui, wiping out the entire team. Ye Bing played a tank and support role, not a damage dealer, so even with his skillful play, he couldn't carry a Luna like the homeroom teacher. If Ye Bing had played Luna, Han Cheng didn't even want to think about it… After all, Luna requires even more skill and precise control than Hua Mulan; a skilled player could easily take on five opponents…
