The Road to Godhood in Honor of Kings

Chapter 5 The Rookie Homeroom Teacher (Part 1)

"Hehe, it's nothing!" Han Cheng thought his homeroom teacher was praising him and was overjoyed.

"Since you're so good at English and have put it into practice, why are you deliberately neglecting math and getting such bad grades?" The homeroom teacher said angrily.

"I..." Han Cheng was speechless, completely at their mercy, like a fish on a chopping board!

……

"Alright!" The homeroom teacher handed Han Cheng a slip of paper. Just now, the homeroom teacher had been multitasking, scolding Han Cheng while writing a homework list.

"The homework is all here! Don't forget to tell Sun Zhu and Guo Lizhuo to finish it on time! You should know the consequences of not finishing on time, right?" The homeroom teacher had a sly smile on his face, seemingly enjoying assigning homework to the students (the author also wants to try it!).

"The consequences?" Han Cheng pretended not to know.

"Double it!" the homeroom teacher roared, startling the other teachers who all turned to look at her.

"Hehehe! Scolding students!" The homeroom teacher's face instantly changed to a smile.

"Teacher, can I go now?" Han Cheng asked timidly.

"Okay, let's go!" the homeroom teacher said, her head down, not because she had been scolded, but because she was playing on her phone.

"Why did I see our homeroom teacher open Honor of Kings just now?" Han Cheng thought to himself, deciding to go back and check his homeroom teacher's level and rank, but what excuse could he use?

"I've got it!" Although he thought of an excuse, Han Cheng didn't go back immediately. It takes a while to log into Honor of Kings, and his homeroom teacher probably hadn't logged in yet. He'd wait another minute! (So many tricks!)

"Report! Teacher, there's a word I can't see clearly!" This was Han Cheng's excuse. He found a word on the homework list that the homeroom teacher had written in a somewhat messy way and pretended not to see it.

"Oh, let me see!" The homeroom teacher put down his phone, which showed the ranked match interface of Honor of Kings. Han Cheng took a closer look and almost burst out laughing!

"Bronze II!" Looks like he's only just started playing ranked! To be honest, the ranking system in Honor of Kings is nothing compared to League of Legends. In League of Legends, you need to be level 30, which is the maximum level, and have at least sixteen heroes to play ranked; while in Honor of Kings, it seems you only need level 6 and five heroes to play (Han Cheng has long forgotten when he reached the maximum level and all heroes, so he's not entirely sure, and neither is the author). This explains why there are so many bad players in Platinum, Diamond, and below, and even in King rank. It's not that Han Cheng dislikes people with higher ranks than him, but a high rank doesn't necessarily mean the person isn't bad.

I remember once playing in a bounty league, my team had two Glory Kings and two Diamonds, and they managed to completely outmaneuver Han Cheng, who was only Gold at the time. I still remember it vividly.

"Teacher, you play Honor of Kings too?" Han Cheng asked.

"Oh... I only played this game to get to know you guys, don't think too much about it!" The homeroom teacher was obviously lying, but Han Cheng didn't have the courage to expose her lie.

"Didn't you want to ask about this character? Isn't it the 'Cheng' in your name 'Han Cheng'? Even if you can't see it clearly, you can figure it out by making a connection, right?"

Han Cheng's excuse was indeed a bit lame, but fortunately, the homeroom teacher didn't notice. At that moment, the homeroom teacher saw Han Cheng looking at their phones and quickly exited the ranked game interface, afraid of being embarrassed. But when she looked outside, she saw that he was only level 15—that rank was ridiculously low!

"Then I'm leaving, teacher!" Han Cheng was still in a hurry to settle accounts with Sun Wukong and Fatty. These two traitors would probably be the first to become traitors during the war!

Back in the classroom, Han Cheng didn't rush to talk to Sun Hou Pangzi about the homework. Since they were going to settle accounts, they had to.

"Homework List"

Sun Zhu and Guo Lizhuo: Copy all the math formulas you've learned three times, and do all the problems you've done from the beginning again!

Han Cheng, double the reward!

Note: Handwriting must be clear and neat, written carefully in the notebook; otherwise, it will be torn up and rewritten!

"How ruthless!" Han Cheng was secretly surprised, but there was something even more ruthless to come!

"Alright!" Fortunately, the homeroom teacher's words were spaced a bit far apart, so adding a word didn't matter. He added a "ten" to the number after Sun Wukong and Fatty's homework. Looking at Sun Wukong and Fatty, they seemed to be bragging about how they betrayed Han Cheng, which made Han Cheng even more indignant.

"Thirty times the formulas, eleven times the math exercises, I'll exhaust you all!" Han Cheng said with a sinister smile. He was originally supposed to write the formulas six times and the math exercises two times, but although he changed his mind, the homeroom teacher wanted him to write that many times, so he didn't have to double the amount!

"Monkey, Fatty! You two traitors who betrayed your friends for personal gain!" Han Cheng, holding the homework list, was furious.

"Damn, that's not right!" the monkey said. "We're doing this for your own good!"

“Yeah! Yeah!” the fat man chimed in.

"For my own good?"

"Of course, think about it, if your homeroom teacher finds out you're playing Honor of Kings in the future, would that be better than us telling her now? Also, now that your homeroom teacher knows you're playing Honor of Kings, she'll naturally think of you when it comes to competitions, and then there won't be any obstacles for us to participate, right?" Monkey said.

"What? Monkey, what you said actually makes some sense?" Han Cheng said deliberately.

"Of course!" Sun Wukong thought to himself, "This is a reason we've been thinking about for ages to come up with. How could it not make sense?"

"But do you also want to participate in the city competition and the campus championship?" Han Cheng asked.

“Yeah! Monkey and I both want to participate. How about we form a team?” the fat man said.

"Hmm, not a bad idea..." Han Cheng thought it was a good idea too when he heard the fat man say that. It would be great if he could become an e-sports star one day and dominate the game. However, what Han Cheng wanted more was not honor. What drove him to participate in the King of Glory competition was his love for e-sports. The championship was just an empty title.

"When will we form a team?" the fat man asked.

"We'll talk about it later. Here, take this!" Han Cheng handed the homework list to Fatty and Sun Wukong with a sly smile.

Upon seeing the homework list, Sun Wukong and Fatty instantly became terrified, as if they were witnessing the end of the world.

"Is this going to kill us with exhaustion?"

"Hahaha~" Han Cheng chuckled inwardly, "You betrayed me!"

"Monkey, what are you doing?" The fat man looked at Sun Wukong, who had returned to his seat and started flipping through books to get his homework.

"What else can we do? Of course, we have to do the homework the teacher assigned!" the monkey said. "Otherwise, how can we finish it?"

"By the way, I just saw our homeroom teacher playing Honor of Kings. I think he was in Bronze II, only level 15?" Han Cheng said casually.

"What? Our teacher plays Honor of Kings too?" the fat guy asked.

"Hahaha!" Sun Wukong laughed.
