The Road to Godhood in Honor of Kings

Chapter 25 Another God of War

The game started quickly.

Han Cheng's first piece of equipment was an iron sword, which he intended to use to craft the Bloodthirsty Blade, while Qin Li's first piece of equipment was cloth armor. It's unclear what he plans to craft.

"Hmm? First item: tank?" Han Cheng asked. Tank Han Xin is another build for Han Xin, which can be either semi-tank or full tank, and the damage is not low, and the control is also quite strong. However, Han Cheng usually plays Han Xin as a semi-tank, and a Han Xin who builds pure attack can't beat a semi-tank Han Xin, of course, under the condition of equal skill.

At level 1, Han Cheng should use his first skill, "Ruthless Charge," which allows for two dashes. The first dash also has a knock-up effect, but the damage is not very high.

Once online, Han Cheng activated his first skill and jumped over, but Qin Li's Han Xin dodged it with skillful movement.

What sharp footwork!

Before Han Cheng could even react in surprise, Qin Li's Han Xin unleashed his second skill, which was the first skill he used. He activated "Desperate Struggle," dodging the second part of Han Cheng's first skill while simultaneously unleashing a hurricane that reduced Han Cheng's health by one bar, while Qin Li's Han Xin remained at full health.

After a brief entanglement, both of them ran out of skills and went back to farming minions. Qin Li, having leveled up his second skill first, had a shorter cooldown and was able to harass Han Cheng again.

Finally, the two reached level two, and the battle broke out again. This time, Han Cheng's Han Xin was almost at low health, while Qin Li was nearly half health.

"So powerful!" Han Cheng couldn't help but be secretly surprised.

Han Cheng had previously thought his Han Xin was quite good, but he hadn't expected Qin Li's Han Xin to be so much stronger. Just their positioning and combos were significantly inferior, and their item builds were clearly different. Qin Li seemed to be building the Crimson Cloak as his first item, while Han Cheng was building the Bloodthirster. Generally, tanky builds are stronger than pure attack builds.

Although Qin Li was very strong, Han Cheng was no pushover either, and he held on until level four without being killed in a one-on-one fight.

In a 1v1 situation, superpowers are clearly ineffective. Even if the Mo family's mechanical path allows them to see the opponent's vision, it's useless. As for X-ray vision, what does that have to do with Qin Li's solo match? Furthermore, photographic memory is even less useful.

"Unparalleled in the world!" Han Cheng used his first skill to knock Qin Li into the air and then unleashed his ultimate. Qin Li also unleashed his ultimate the instant he landed, choosing to fight head-on. Both of them were immune to crowd control, but Han Cheng used his ultimate first, followed by Qin Li. Han Cheng was knocked into the air, while Qin Li was not.

A few seconds later, Han Cheng was low on health, and Qin Li's health wasn't much either. Han Cheng relied on the physical lifesteal from the Bloodthirster to heal himself by attacking minions, and gradually caught up with Qin Li's health.

In the late game, before the first blood had even been claimed, Han Cheng's build consisted of Bloodthirster, Frozen Heart, Crimson Cloak, Armor Piercing Bow, Pure Sky, and Shadow Blade. This build made him quite tanky and difficult to kill, while also dealing considerable damage. The Armor Piercing Bow was particularly effective against the tanky Qin Li, and Pure Sky, being Han Cheng's hidden ultimate ability, was a very cost-effective item. Frozen Heart, with its cooldown reduction and armor bonus, was practically a god-tier build.

On Qin Li's side, the equipment included the Crimson Lotus Cloak, Thornmail, Trinity Force, Ruin Monarch, Armor Piercing Bow, and Endless Edge.

Neither of them built armor boots nor Guardian Angel (commonly known as "resurrection armor"). These two items become ineffective in the late game.

Both are pretty useless, especially the shoes. The Mozi's Mechanical Path is only so big; being fast is pointless, and Han Xin has long legs, so shoes are unnecessary. Besides, shoes aren't cost-effective; it's better to use a more cost-effective item than take up a slot. As for the Resurrection Armor, that's how 1v1 double kills happen. You've just resurrected, and the opponent is already ready to pounce on you. Basically, if you get killed once, you don't have much of a chance a second time, since the resurrection delay is too long. If the opponent can't beat you, they can run away since you haven't resurrected yet; if they can beat you, they'll pounce on you after you resurrect, and you won't be able to escape.

The two clashed again in the mid-lane (it seems the Mo Clan's Mechanical Path only has a mid-lane?). Han Cheng initiated the attack once more, using his first skill to knock Han Cheng into the air, followed by his ultimate. Qin Li responded in kind. Just as Qin Li's Han Xin finished unleashing the final part of his ultimate and was about to knock Han Cheng away, a golden effect appeared on Han Cheng's Han Xin with a "whoosh." This was the Pure Sky's active skill [Dispel], reducing damage taken by 50% for 1.5 seconds. Those brief 1.5 seconds often determine life or death for a high-burst assassin like Han Xin.

Seeing this, Qin Li used his second skill to retreat, followed by his first skill to knock the enemy into the air. It seems he is quite familiar with this equipment, as he knows about its damage reduction effect.

Han Cheng was not afraid either, and stood toe-to-toe with Qin Li. Both of them lost health rapidly. However, Han Cheng did not have a Thornmail, so the higher his output was, the faster his health dropped. He could only recover some health with the Bloodthirster.

"Whoosh!" The two, both with low health, unleashed their finishing moves simultaneously, seemingly aiming to take each other down with them.

However, after the killing was completed, the two Han Xins stood there majestically. Looking at their equipment, it was clear that they had both acquired the legendary sword, the Life-Saving Blade, and had both survived.

At the critical moment, both of them released their first skill, but only Han Cheng's Han Xin fell down unwillingly.

"Not lost yet!"

"What?" Han Cheng was stunned. Just now, when the two of them released their first skills, his first skill was about to hit Qin Li, but Qin Li jumped in place, dodged the damage, and killed him the moment he landed.

The ultimate battle ended in less than a second.

"You're strong! But you still need some practice." Qin Li said coldly. The rule between the two was that the first blood was the limit, and Han Cheng lost because he lost the first blood.

"You... I didn't expect your reaction to be so fast!" Han Cheng exclaimed in surprise. Although both of them had thought of using the famous sword Si Ming together, Qin Li was clearly a cut above the rest.

Qin Li smiled slightly, said nothing, and turned to leave. Just as he was about to leave, he suddenly turned back and said, "We'll meet again!"

Han Cheng was utterly bewildered. This person had inexplicably challenged him to a solo match, not only completely crushing him but also leaving without a trace. This was too outrageous! Even more outrageous was the look Ye Bing seemed to have given Qin Li earlier, suggesting Ye Bing's status was far higher than Qin Li's. Just who was Ye Bing? Wasn't his father the mayor? How come he seemed to have connections with the underworld? And Qin Li's words were also quite meaningful; it seemed Qin Li had been observing him all along?

--unknown.

At this moment, the people around him, except for Ye Bing, Xu Xiaomeng, Fatty and Sun Hou, were all surprised. In the solo just now, both of them had peak performance. Moreover, in the last scene, Qin Li perfectly demonstrated Han Xin's title of unparalleled national hero. Indeed, he was unparalleled. He crushed Han Cheng in just a fraction of a second.

"I wonder if Ye Bing is a match for Qin Li?" Han Cheng thought to himself, "But he definitely has a powerful backer!"
