The Road to Godhood in Honor of Kings

Chapter 161 Summer Team's Counterattack

Chapter 16 Five-Step Killing Formation

"But what about the undead from the void?" Han Cheng muttered.

“It’s alright, I’m here. Besides, you haven’t entered the Mirror World recently, have you?” Leng Rancheng said.

"No," Han Cheng replied.

"That's fine." Leng Rancheng said, and together with Han Cheng, they traveled into the Mirror World.

At the Pingshan City Gymnasium, the third game between the ToL team and the summer team is about to begin. The ToL team members know that Han Cheng is unlikely to come, so they prepare to go on stage.

Just as the referee was about to announce the start of the match, a voice suddenly rang out: "Wait a minute!"

The referee looked in surprise toward the direction from which the voice came, and the rest of ToL also looked over there, only to see a familiar voice. It was none other than Han Cheng.

"Little Orange? He's here?" Xu Xiaomeng said with some surprise.

“Xiao Han is here, so I’ll go down to the field, and he can jungle,” Sima Yi said.

"Brother Ma, how about I go on stage?" Xu Xiaomeng said.

"No need, with Coach Qin and Xiao Han here, we don't need me," Sima Yi said.

"Referee, we request a substitution!" Xu Xiaomeng said.

"Okay." After a moment's hesitation, Han Cheng replaced Sima Yi and took his seat. In this game, Han Cheng would be the jungler!

"Little Orange, you're finally here!" Xu Xiaomeng exclaimed. "Where did you go?"

"I...I've been kidnapped," Han Cheng said weakly.

"What? You've been kidnapped? Luckily we called the police," Xu Xiaomeng said. "Little Orange, are you hurt? Have the police gone?"

"I'm fine, the police have gone too," Han Cheng said. "Let's just focus on the game."

"So what lineup should we use for this last game?" Sun Wukong asked.

"A five-step kill," Han Cheng said calmly.

"Wow! Such a cool and awesome name? This lineup must be amazing!" Sun Wukong exclaimed excitedly.

"No, actually it's just so-so in Honor of Kings, just a very ordinary lineup," Han Cheng said casually.

"There are actually many interpretations of the so-called 'Five-Step Kill.' One interpretation is that the heroes in this lineup all have strong single-kill capabilities, hence the name 'Five-Step Kill.' Another interpretation is that each hero in this lineup has a dash ability, hence the name 'Five-Step Kill,'" Han Cheng said. "The advantage of this lineup lies in its flexibility and high burst damage in team fights."

"Should we ban Guan Yu and Luna?" Sun Wukong asked.

“Okay,” Han Cheng said.

“I’ve heard of the Five-Step Kill, it’s a lineup in League of Legends: top lane Jax, mid lane Zed, jungle Nocturne, ADC Vayne, and support Thresh,” Qin Li said. “You’re probably looking for similar heroes to replace them, right? Thresh and Zed don’t seem to have easy counterparts.”

"Yes, let's replace Zed with Lanling King. Lanling King has extremely high single-target damage, which is similar to Zed. Moreover, Meng is also very good at playing Lanling King. Let's replace Thresh with Taiyi Zhenren. Taiyi Zhenren is one of the few pure supports with mobility, and he is very powerful. Although he has a higher margin for error, I believe Ye Bing can play him well," Han Cheng said.

“Yes, that’s a great idea,” Qin Li said. “Transplanting the League of Legends lineup into Honor of Kings is a good idea. After all, the two games have many similarities. To put it bluntly, Honor of Kings imitates a lot of League of Legends.”

So, Sun Wukong banned Guan Yu again, and the opposing team banned Luna.

The final lineups for both teams were: ToL's top laner was Lao Fu Zi, a hero with an awkward role, who was equipped with Execute; the mid laner was Lanling Wang, who was equipped with Execute; the jungler was Nezha, who was equipped with Smite; the bottom laner was Sun Shangxiang, who was equipped with Purify; and the roaming Taiyi Zhenren was equipped with Heal.

Summer's lineup consisted of Tachibana Ukyo with Execute in the top lane, Diao Chan with Purify in the mid lane, Han Xin with Smite in the jungle, Marco Polo with Flash in the bottom lane, and Xiang Yu with Execute for roaming.

At the start of the game, after clearing their own resources, the ToL team collectively invaded the enemy jungle. This wasn't to steal the buff, since the enemy had already cleared it; rather, it was to disrupt the enemy jungler's clearing process. After bringing the enemy's helpless Han Xin to low health, the team members returned to their lanes to play normally.

Let's look at the top lane. Ye Bing's Old Master is skilled, while Tachibana Ukyo's second skill is both a ranged skill and a control skill. Old Master is a very weak hero in the early game, but his damage is explosive in the late game. As long as he can withstand the pressure in the early game, he can carry in the late game. Sun Wukong can do this, always dodging Tachibana Ukyo's tricky second skill by the slightest difference.

As for the mid lane, Lanling King does have a tough time against Diao Chan, so playing cautiously is the most important thing. Lanling King can occasionally use his second skill to slow down Diao Chan, then get close and use his first skill to poke her down before leaving. It's hard to determine a winner.

The bottom lane was a different story. Qin Li's Sun Shangxiang kept rolling and harassing, making Marco Polo helpless. The support Taiyi Zhenren was played by Ye Bing, whose second skill could always teleport to the enemy and hit them. The bottom lane was playing extremely aggressively. The combination of Ye Bing and Qin Li was almost unstoppable, which attracted the enemy Han Xin to gank. However, Han Cheng already knew that Han Xin would come. He leveled up to level four first and hid in the bush next to the red buff. When the time was right, he used his ultimate to enter the fray. Even if the enemy reacted, they might not be able to dodge at such close range.

Han Xin used his second skill to dash closer and then used his first skill to try and knock up Sun Shangxiang. However, Sun Shangxiang used her first skill to dash away. Taiyi Zhenren used his second skill to stun Han Xin. Nezha activated his ultimate, and Taiyi Zhenren's first skill exploded again, stunning Han Xin once more. Sun Shangxiang turned around and fired a shot, taking away a lot of Han Xin's health. Xiang Yu rushed over to try and knock Taiyi Zhenren away, but missed.

Han Xin had just woken up and quickly activated his first skill's second dash, but Nezha suddenly rushed in and, together with Sun Shangxiang, killed him instantly.

Xiang Yu used his displacement ability, and even though he was a tank, it wasn't easy for him to leave; he was left behind.

Sun Shangxiang secured a double kill, and her gold income was almost surpassed that of Nezha, who was playing as a jungler.

With the dragon spawning, Summer couldn't contest it head-on and could only try to steal it tentatively. ToL easily secured the first Tyrant.

Summer team has realized that they are gradually falling behind. Compared to ToL team's performance in the first game, they were much stronger in the second game, as if they were on steroids. And in the third game, they were even stronger. The five members of ToL team were simply unleashing their full strength, with extremely good teamwork. Moreover, thanks to Han Cheng's command, any move of Summer team's five members was detected and they were turned around and defeated.

The manager of the Summer team in the stands frowned deeply. Han Cheng's sudden appearance not only disrupted his plans, making it very likely that his team would miss the championship, but it also seemed that his plan to have those people kidnap Han Cheng had been exposed, and he was probably in trouble.
