The Road to Godhood in Honor of Kings

Chapter 15 An Encounter, Escape from Danger

Han Xin got a pentakill, trading one for five, losing the dragon and his reputation. The opposing team was powerless to turn the tide, and after several waves of attacks, they were forced to surrender.

"Victory!" The blue team's crystal slowly exploded, and Han Cheng's team won 21 to 3. Only Sun Wukong's monkey was killed three times.

"You monkey, you idiot! You've died three times in our battle!" the fat man cursed.

"Is it my fault?" Sun Wukong, realizing he was in the wrong, stopped talking and looked at Li Bin, whose face had darkened not far away.

"Li Bin, how about it? Aren't my friends incredibly strong?" Sun Wukong challenged.

"Don't get cocky! Xiao Qing just didn't perform well! We have things to do, so we'll be leaving now. We'll come back next time!" After saying that, Li Bin and the others slunk away. It's estimated that the "Xiao Qing" he mentioned was the one who played Luna. His skills were decent, but Han Cheng didn't really take him seriously. Besides, there was also that freak Ye Bing. If Li Bin and the others dared to come back, they would defeat them again!

"Great job, Little Orange!" The fat man patted Han Cheng on the shoulder as soon as he came up. This guy was so strong that Han Cheng couldn't take it.

"If it weren't for my selfless dedication, using my big monkey to draw enemy fire, would Little Orange have been able to get a pentakill?" the monkey said, concocting an excuse about his selfless dedication and drawing fire for his teammates to cover up his own failure.

"Hehe, actually this game wasn't that great. The key was that Fatty and I went to fight Luna, the landlord, together. Also, Ye Bing's skills were amazing. Of course, everyone's skills were very good, especially Monkey and Mengzi! (Another nickname Han Cheng used for Xu Xiaomeng)."

"Hahaha!" Everyone laughed happily.

With less than a week to go before the school's King of Glory tournament, Han Cheng and his friends are taking it very seriously. They all feel they need to practice hard when they get back, hoping they might be able to represent the school in the city competition.

After the evening ended, Han Cheng said goodbye to everyone and left the school.

On the road, everything was as familiar as ever, and there was also the familiar figure of that guy's back—it was Xing Feng.

"What is he doing up there?" Han Cheng frowned when he saw Xing Feng not far away. Did this guy want to take revenge on him?

However, just as Han Cheng was about to turn around and leave, several shady-looking young men blocked his way.

"What do you want to do?" Han Cheng asked, feigning composure.

"What do you want? Kid, you were lucky last time, you got into a car accident and nothing happened, but this time I want to get revenge, so I can only come to you!" Xing Feng walked over.

"Outrageous!" Han Cheng clenched his fist. He knew he had studied Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) for several years and had been training consistently. He already had abs. Although he wasn't particularly skilled, he was more than capable of dealing with Xing Feng. Since Xing Feng had started the trouble, he would let him know that he wasn't so easy to bully.

"What are you still standing there for?" Xing Feng was clearly displeased. You see, even though Han Cheng was fine last time, he still paid the thugs he hired.

"Damn it, go!" One of the thugs went up and kicked, but Han Cheng dodged it and instead punched him back. Even so, Han Cheng still took a kick from behind, his back hurt, and he was a little unsteady on his feet.

Despite this, Han Cheng still rushed towards Xing Feng without hesitation and punched him in the face. Seeing Han Cheng hit him in front of so many of his people, Xing Feng was instantly enraged, but Han Cheng punched him again.

Han Cheng threw a punch, but a sharp pain shot through his back again, and he fell to the ground. The thugs rushed up to stomp on him.

"Damn it, all of you stop!" The sound of a motorcycle came from not far away, and the bright headlights made Xing Feng and the others unable to open their eyes.

Upon hearing this, many thugs immediately stopped, but Xing Feng began to stomp on Han Cheng, who was lying on the ground.

"Damn it, stop, didn't you hear me?" A man in a black shirt got off the first motorcycle. He was fairly good-looking, with a cross necklace around his neck. His long hair was not only imposing but also very handsome.

"Brother Li!" One of the thugs quickly stepped forward to greet the man.

"Bang!" The man kicked the thug to the ground: "Don't you know I have a grudge against those guys surnamed Xing?"

Upon seeing this scene, the other thugs couldn't help but gasp, and Xing Feng, who was stomping on Han Cheng, also stopped.

“Brother Li, we…” The thugs all lowered their heads.

"Damn it, you bunch of useless trash, don't you remember who sent me to the detention center? And whose men beat Ahua up so badly he ended up in the hospital?" the man said.

Hearing the man's words, Han Cheng, who had already come to his senses, looked completely bewildered. What was going on? It seemed that the man was probably one of the thugs, and he seemed to strongly oppose his people working for Xing Feng.

"Excuse me, sir, who are you?" Xing Feng stepped forward to greet the man, but was instead kicked.

"Damn it, don't you remember me, Qin Li?" the man cursed. "Get the hell out of here! And don't let me see you looking for my brothers again!"

Xing Feng's expression changed, and he glared angrily at the man before turning around and fleeing in a panic.

"Are you alright?" The man walked up to Han Cheng.

"It's nothing, thank you!" Han Cheng said, brushing the dust off his clothes.

"You're lucky today. This kid has a grudge against me and his father, which is why I'm helping you." The man finished speaking and prepared to leave.

"Hey, wait a minute!" Han Cheng called out to the man, "Excuse me, who are you? I meant to say I really want to thank you!"

The man's eyes seemed to hold a hint of disdain: "No need for thanks! My name is Qin Li!"

"You don't even know our Brother Li? You should know that there's no one in Pingshan City who doesn't know our Brother Li!" one of the underlings boasted. Qin Li glared at him, and the underling quickly lowered his head in fear.

"Qin Li?" Han Cheng murmured.

Qin Li seemed like a ruthless character at first glance (from his first impression), and it appeared he had some deep-seated grudge against Xing Feng and his father, but Han Cheng wasn't interested in any of that. Although Qin Li had just helped him, he was, after all, part of a criminal organization—or rather, a criminal organization, though their nature was certainly not pure.

Brushing the dust off his clothes again, Han Cheng prepared to leave. Although Xing Feng had stepped on him a few times, it was nothing. Han Cheng possessed excellent physical strength, and the thugs had stopped because of Qin Li's arrival. If he had really wanted to retaliate, Xing Feng would already be down. However, Han Cheng didn't want to do that. It wasn't that he didn't hate Xing Feng, but if he really did something to Xing Feng, his family couldn't afford the medical expenses. Moreover, Xing Feng's family was rich and powerful, and they would make things difficult for him and his parents as well. Therefore, it was better to avoid trouble and endure it if possible. The question of when endurance would be reached was a matter for later.
