I was so scared that I put all my points into health.

Guild Leader Winnie formed an adventure team, divided into two groups. One group, personally led by her, consisted of Wang Xiaoyi (level 41), Alpha (level 40), and Allen (level 42), as well as a level 70 archer. The other group was composed entirely of elite level 70 adventurers, each a gold-level powerhouse.

"We are about to embark on an adventure in the cursed ancient forest." President Winnie's voice was calm but serious. "That forest is full of dangers, filled with eerie darkness and many unknown dangerous creatures."

Wang Xiaoyi was well aware of his own strength, so he quickly told Alpha and Allen, "Our level is too low. Those monsters are at least level 60. We can't participate in the battle. Just hide in a safe area later and don't attract any attacks."

Alpha and Allen nodded in agreement. If it weren't for their older brother, Ryan, they would never have had the chance to take such an adventure. Alpha said, "We'll stay in the back and not cause any trouble." Allen nodded in agreement as well.

Because the dungeon was much higher level than them, the Elemental Dragon (parrot form) stayed by their side to protect them.

Within the group, some arrogant Gold-rank adventurers expressed their dissatisfaction with Guild Master Winnie's arrangements. They exchanged glances, their eyes filled with disdain. They looked at Wang Xiaoyi, Alpha, and Allen, silently wondering what was going on.

"Why did President Winnie bring these three rookies along? What can they do? In this dangerous adventure, they're just a hindrance." A berserker in ornate armor muttered under his breath, his arrogant eyes filled with disdain.

“That’s right. There are so many of us who are Gold-level adventurers. What are we afraid of? These three young men will only cause us trouble.” A mage skilled in spell control chimed in, frowning as if he had already foreseen all the trouble these three young men would bring.

Despite their grievances, they dared not express their dissatisfaction out loud due to President Winnie's status, and could only silently hide their resentment and contempt in their hearts.

President Winnie pretended not to hear the complaints and continued leading the group towards the ancient forest. She knew in her heart that the great god, the Elf King Dragon, would protect the three of them and keep them safe.

The elven dragon (parrot form) perched on Wang Xiaoyi's shoulder scoffed at this adventurer who liked to act all high and mighty. He thought he was something special just because he was a level 70, and dared to challenge it.

As they approached the edge of the forest, a bone-chilling cold swept over them. It was an aura of death, decay, and darkness that sent shivers down their spines.

"Everyone be careful. Once we enter the forest, proceed according to plan. You two little ones, make sure to stay hidden and don't get involved in the fighting," President Winnie specifically reminded Wang Xiaoyi, Alpha, and Allen.

Wang Xiaoyi, Alpha, and Allen nodded obediently. They followed cautiously behind the group, their eyes constantly searching for a safe place to hide.

The archers stood vigilantly on one side of the group, their longbows drawn taut, their eyes constantly scanning their surroundings. "Let's proceed along this path first, and carefully observe our surroundings; there might be traps," President Winnie continued.

The group proceeded along the path, surrounded by a thick fog. Countless eyes seemed to lurk within the fog, watching the adventurers' every move.

President Winnie cast a light spell, and a bright white light shone in front of the group, dispelling some of the fog.

The archers stood vigilantly on one side of the column, their longbows drawn taut, their eyes constantly watching for any movement around them.

"Watch your step, everyone, there are many hidden traps here," President Winnie warned.

Allen walked cautiously, when suddenly he felt his feet go weak. He quickly cast a basic defensive spell for paladins, and his whole body was lifted into the air.

"That was close," Allen said, still shaken.

Just then, a deep roar came from the depths of the forest, a sound like a demon from hell, sending chills down one's spine.

"Prepare for battle!" Guild Master Winnie shouted, her magic staff flashing with dazzling light.

The archer swiftly fired an arrow in the direction from which the roar came.

The other Gold-ranked adventurers also prepared for battle, standing ready for action. Wang Xiaoyi, Alpha, and Allen quietly moved to the back of the group, trying to find a relatively safe corner to hide in. They saw a huge ancient tree with a thick trunk and many branches, thinking that if a battle broke out, hiding behind the tree might provide temporary refuge.

A gigantic shadow wolf emerged from the mist. This wolf was over two meters tall, its body shrouded in black smoke, and its eyes gleamed with a blood-red light. It was around level 65, and its strength should not be underestimated.

"Everyone, be on defense!" Guild Master Winnie shouted. She waved her magic staff, and a shield spell rose up in front of the group.

The archer fired an arrow at the shadow wolf's eye, hitting it precisely. The shadow wolf, struck in one eye, let out a painful howl, but instead of retreating, it attacked the shield even more frantically.

The berserker gripped his greatsword tightly, a faint red glow emanating from his body, and charged towards the shadow wolf's belly. The mages began chanting spells, preparing to unleash powerful magical attacks.

The other adventurers also launched attacks on the Shadow Wolves. Wang Xiaoyi, Alpha, and Allen, meanwhile, hid behind an ancient tree, watching nervously.

Allen said somewhat anxiously, "We can't keep hiding; we want to help too."

Wang Xiaoyi said, "Our levels are too low. Going there would only be suicide. Don't be impulsive." Alpha thought about it and agreed with Wang Xiaoyi. Under the group's attacks, the Shadow Wolf gradually fell into a disadvantageous position. But suddenly it let out a deafening roar, and the dark aura around it became even more intense.

"It's about to launch its final attack, everyone be careful!" President Winnie shouted.

The adventurers quickly prepared their defenses. The Shadow Wolf charged towards the shield, and just as it was about to collide with it, Wang Xiaoyi suddenly had an idea. He cast a purification spell, and a beam of white light shot towards the Shadow Wolf. Although the light didn't cause much damage to the Shadow Wolf, it dispelled some of the dark aura emanating from it.

The archer seized the opportunity and fired another arrow, striking the shadow wolf squarely in a vital spot. The shadow wolf let out a mournful howl and then collapsed with a thud. The adventurers breathed a sigh of relief.

Continuing deeper into the forest, they encountered another swarm of shadow spiders. These spiders were not large, but numerous, and their venom was highly corrosive. Guild Master Winnie directed the adventurers to spread out to avoid being surrounded by the spiders. Archers, positioned on higher ground, unleashed a dense barrage of arrows at the spiders.

Wang Xiaoyi, Alpha, and Allen hid behind a concealed rock. Allen said, "These spiders look disgusting."

Alpha said, "We're right here, don't move." Another team of priests kept a close eye on everyone's situation. He saw a thief being hit by a spider's venom and immediately cast a purification spell to remove the poison.

The group continued their journey. As they ventured deeper into the forest, the challenges they faced grew increasingly greater. In a valley, they encountered a pack of wolves controlled by dark forces. These wolves were incredibly fast, and their attack and defense were greatly enhanced by the dark power.

"Everyone be careful, don't get surrounded by them," President Winnie warned.

The group stood back to back, forming a tight defensive circle. Wolves began to run around them, searching for an opportunity to attack. The archers maintained their attacks on the wolves while simultaneously observing their surroundings. "The terrain of this valley is unfavorable to us; we need to find a way to break out."

President Winnie nodded. "We'll break out from that side; there are some rocks there that can provide cover."

The adventurers moved in the direction indicated by Guild Master Winnie. The wolves, sensing their intentions, launched an even more frenzied attack.

Allen and Alpha followed closely behind Wang Xiaoyi, obediently hiding as instructed to avoid causing trouble. After a fierce battle, the adventurers finally broke through successfully.

As they ventured deeper, they finally located the area where the pointer fragments might exist. However, the environment here was far more dangerous, filled with sources of dark power, and a single misstep could lead to their corruption.

On Wang Xiaoyi's shoulder, the Elf King Dragon (parrot form) remained motionless, like an old monk in deep meditation. Its small eyes were half-closed, seemingly listless. In fact, all its energy was focused on its clone. Its clone was comfortably lying at home reading comics. This little homebody dragon truly embodied the word "diligent" in a unique way.

As President Winnie explored, she pondered ways to deal with the various dangers. Her magic staff swayed gently in her hand, its tip gleaming like a beacon in the darkness. She knew the dangers of this area far exceeded her expectations, but to find a way to resolve the threat posed by the dark forces to Starshine City, she had to lead everyone forward bravely.

The surrounding trees grew in bizarre shapes, their twisted branches resembling menacing demons. Their leaves were an eerie black, as if their souls had been corrupted by dark forces. The ground beneath their feet had become incredibly soft, each step feeling like walking on cotton, making them feel extremely uncomfortable.

Suddenly, a deep roar shattered the silence. The roar seemed to emanate from the depths of hell, making everyone's hearts leap into their throats. Everyone tensed, gripping their weapons tightly, preparing to face the approaching enemy. Alan and Alpha still wore expressions of tension. The Elf Dragon King (parrot form) was also startled by the roar; it flapped its wings but didn't fly off Wang Xiaoyi's shoulder. It merely looked curiously in the direction of the sound, as if to say, "What's this new thing? But this dragon doesn't want to move right now."

As the roar grew closer, a colossal figure slowly emerged from the darkness. It was a gigantic shadow beast, its body tens of meters tall, emanating a nauseating aura of darkness. Its eyes, like two burning embers, stared intently at the adventurers. Every step it took caused the earth to tremble, and black mist continuously spewed from its mouth.

Guild Master Winnie took a deep breath; she knew the real battle was about to begin. She shouted to the adventurers behind her, "Everyone, get ready! Proceed according to our previously established plan!" The adventurers responded in unison, their morale soaring under Guild Master Winnie's encouragement.

Wang Xiaoyi was also prepared to flee, with Allen and Alpha standing beside him. Allen gripped his shield tightly, leaning slightly forward, ready to shield his teammates from potential attacks from the flanks. Alpha, like a nimble little mouse, searched the surroundings for an opportunity to launch a surprise attack. The Elf Dragon King (parrot form), watching the approaching Shadow Beast, suddenly became interested. Its small eyes gleamed with excitement, as if saying, "This big guy looks quite interesting." However, it didn't fly off Wang Xiaoyi's shoulder; it wanted to see how Winnie and the young adventurers would deal with this creature.
