Upon hearing this, Jin Shuai raised an eyebrow, looking at the seemingly shrewd but actually quite honest broker with a hint of surprise, and asked curiously, "Oh? It's rare to find a broker like you who isn't greedy for money! What's your name?"

"My name is Li Wei. This young lady lives in the same alley as me. Once, my mother fell down, and it was this young lady who helped her back home," Li Wei said with a smile.

"What a loyal and devoted person you are! Please keep an eye out for beautiful women, skilled musicians, and graceful dancers for me. If you find a suitable candidate, just come to the Jin residence to find me. I promise you will be treated well." General Jin said with a smile.

Immediately afterward, Jin Shuai turned to the steward and instructed him: "Make sure they wash up properly before bringing them into the manor." After saying this, Jin Shuai walked to Wan'er's side and said softly, "Let's go, quickly take me to see your young lady."

“Young master, you must keep your promise! A few days ago, someone came to take a look and then left. Since then, he has been harassing us every day, disturbing our peace.” Wan’er said worriedly.

“If you don’t trust me, I’ll have my servant fetch the money for you right now.” With that, Jin Shuai made a gesture as if to call his servant to fetch the money.

"No need for that, I trust you completely, please come with me!" Wan'er quickly replied.

So, Wan'er led Jin Shuai and his entourage to a poor alley in the outer city. The alley was narrow, sewage overflowed, and the surroundings were utterly dilapidated. Following Wan'er's footsteps, the group finally stopped in front of a house. Wan'er gently pushed open the gate and gestured for Jin Shuai and the others to wait in the courtyard for a moment. Wan'er quickly went inside, and soon came out to invite Jin Shuai in.

Jin Shuai stepped into the room, his gaze instantly drawn to the girl lying on the bed, a girl roughly the same age as Wan'er. However, a strong, pungent odor assaulted his nostrils, causing him to frown. The girl on the bed seemed to sense his presence and struggled to sit up. She had just opened her mouth to say something when Jin Shuai exclaimed in shock, "Oh my god... chickenpox!" Before he could finish speaking, a loud bang echoed as the door slammed shut, as if a gust of wind had swept through, leaving the two women in the room standing there bewildered. Immediately afterward, Jin Shuai's urgent shouts rang out: "Quick! Go buy some strong liquor, vinegar, and mugwort! Hurry up..."

At this moment, Wan'er came out of the room, looking puzzled, and asked, "My lord, what's wrong? Why are you so panicked?"

"Don't come any closer! Stand there and don't move. Keep your distance when you talk to me!" Jin Shuai shouted as he quickly ran to a corner of the yard and stood firm. Then, he anxiously asked, "How long has your young lady been sick?"

"It's been five days, and the high fever persists. The doctor prescribed antipyretics, and the herbal decoction hasn't helped," Wan'er replied worriedly.

"Didn't those doctors tell you what kind of illness this is?" Jin Shuai asked angrily.

"They just said it was a fever caused by wind-evil invading the body," Wan'er explained helplessly.

"Where did you find this fake doctor? Treating her like a cold, it's a miracle your daughter didn't die," Jin Shuai replied.

"Ah! Young master, what's wrong with you? Do you know how to treat illnesses?" Wan'er asked curiously.

"Go and fetch that doctor, and while you're at it, ask if they have any Isatis root," Jin Shuai said.
