After swapping bodies, I became a domineering CEO in a melodramatic novel.

Chapter 57 Just because you're not afraid doesn't mean I'm not afraid!

It was only at this moment that Yu Yuetong realized that Ji Momo was no ordinary person. The aura she exuded was almost domineering, giving people a feeling of extreme promise. It was as if she was destined to make a move against her.

At that very moment, the red sedan sped towards them from a distance, approaching like a raging beast, and was about to crash into them.

"Get out of the way!" Qin Yu shouted, grabbing Yu Yuetong's hand and forcefully shoving her aside. But at that moment, Ji Momo seemed oblivious to the danger, her expression remaining nonchalant.

"Is it over just like that?" Yu Yuetong was stunned. All the plans she had made in her mind vanished like sand at that moment, and she desperately wanted to change the situation.

The red sedan sped towards them like a whirlwind, instantly filling the surrounding air with tension. Yu Yuetong felt a pang of panic, watching helplessly as the car rapidly approached them, with nowhere to escape.

"Get out of the way!" Qin Yu's voice rang out like thunder. He grabbed Yu Yuetong's hand and pushed her aside. But all of this seemed very strange to Ji Momo. Her expression remained calm and composed, as if she didn't care at all, letting the car drive by.

"Ah!" Yu Yuetong screamed inwardly in panic, her feet instinctively taking a step back, but she didn't expect to trip over a stone and almost fall. She couldn't help but sniffle, trying to remain calm in this critical moment. "How can you not move?" she yelled at Ji Momo, her voice filled with helplessness and frustration.

In that instant, the red sedan slammed on the brakes, its tires screeching against the pavement. The door swung open, revealing a familiar face. It was Qin Yu's old friend, Mo Yan. As he jumped out of the car, he looked anxious and flustered, the scene he had just witnessed unfolding like a movie to him.

"Damn it, why are you standing here! Get out of here!" Mo Yan was furious, like a wild beast forced into a corner. He looked around and only suppressed his fear after confirming that it was safe.

"Why are you here?" Qin Yu immediately turned his head to ask, his cold expression softening considerably in that instant.

"I've come to find you. Something's happened at the place where we were drinking, and we need your help." Mo Yan's brows were furrowed, his teeth clenched, and a hint of unease lingered in his voice. Clearly, this was no small matter; it seemed to conceal something unusual.

Yu Yuetong's heart tightened, and even amidst her burdens and worries, she temporarily set aside her hostility. "What is it? What happened?"

Just as the atmosphere was becoming increasingly tense, Ji Momo, who was standing in front of her, was completely unaware of the subtle changes. She simply raised her chin, seemingly looking up to the intruder with disdain.

"If something goes wrong at the place where we were drinking, danger might be closing in when we get back." Mo Yan couldn't say more, his expression growing increasingly serious. His face was taut, his gaze piercing through Yu Yuetong and Ji Momo like an electric current. "You know, there are some things you absolutely must never touch."

"Get to the point!" Yu Yuetong finally couldn't help but interrupt his narration.

"Actually, I suspect that Ji Momo has a connection with the people who are going to the bar." He briefly stated, glancing at Ji Momo before locking his gaze back into Yu Yuetong's eyes.

"Her? What's the connection?" Yu Yuetong subconsciously questioned, a hint of doubt flashing across her face, her gaze involuntarily shifting towards Ji Momo.

"I didn't mean anything by it, but you all need to be careful." Mo Yan sighed slightly upon seeing this. He clearly didn't want to escalate the situation further and instead tried to ease the tension. "Just kidding, it's good that everything's alright."

"Nothing?" Ji Momo sneered, a hint of provocation in her voice. "We're both social butterflies; do you think I'd get involved in those dirty things?"

Yu Yuetong chuckled inwardly; the sharp retort would only push the situation to its climax. She coughed lightly, feigning composure, "I just want to know, what evidence do you have to prove she's involved in this?"

“After all, it’s a bar. Don’t you know how many disputes there are?” Mo Yan shrugged helplessly, then his tone became more serious. “If something really happens, it’s probably not just this.”

As the atmosphere gradually intensified, Ji Momo's smile faded, her brows furrowed slightly, and she covered her chest with her hands, staring coldly at Yu Yuetong and Qin Yu, as if trying to find a flaw in their expressions.

"I don't want to argue with you. This kind of place isn't suitable for women." Ji Momo turned her head slightly, her voice low and tinged with resentment. "I'm leaving."

"I didn't realize that." Yu Yuetong smiled, thinking to herself: Although her face was full of disdain, it was clearly not genuine, but rather hiding a deeper political scheme.

At that very moment, a dazzling ray of morning light flashed across the horizon, seemingly foreshadowing some kind of upheaval in the future, a distant and almost intangible secret quietly brewing...

Ji Momo's eyes suddenly dimmed, as if she had caught some ominous sign, and she trembled slightly. Then, a soft sound seemed to become clearer in her ears, as if it was calling out to something.

"Could it be... could it be that she has already noticed?" Yu Yuetong's heart trembled, and she secretly decided that she must not let this bitch escape so easily. Just as her thoughts were racing, the tension from before returned.

A complex mix of emotions churned within Yu Yuetong's mind; she could sense the tense atmosphere. Ji Momo's lips curled slightly, her gaze sharp as a knife, seemingly eager to tear her and Qin Yu apart. Mo Yan's sudden statement only heightened her unease, sending a thin layer of cold sweat down her back.

"We have to go!" she said firmly, turning to Qin Yu, her gaze meeting his, not letting him feel the slightest hint of backing down. "Not every matter at the bar should be ignored, especially when it involves someone like Ji Momo."

"I'm not afraid of her at all!" Qin Yu snorted coldly, his eyes flashing with an undeniable rage. His hands hung naturally at his sides, slightly clenched into fists, as if he were about to rush towards Ji Momo and launch an attack at any moment.

"Just because you're not afraid doesn't mean I'm not afraid!" Yu Yuetong voiced her unease, beads of sweat silently sliding down her forehead under the slight pressure. She clearly harbored a deep fear of this beautiful yet dangerous woman.

"Are you still blaming each other over there?" Ji Momo smiled coldly, as if this was all part of a drama behind the scenes. She waved her hand lazily, as if to say: Your arguments are nothing but boring.

Upon hearing this, Yu Yuetong felt a surge of anger rising within her. She didn't want to be the "boring" person this woman spoke of. "Why are you here, Ji Momo?" Yu Yuetong stared directly at her, unable to hide her inner rage. She secretly resolved that she would never allow Ji Momo to act with impunity.

"I'm here to remind you not to get into a heated argument while you're all in the same boat," Ji Momo said casually, as if the situation was completely out of her control. "Aren't you afraid of pushing both of you into the abyss?"
