The following process was pure torture for Yuetong.

She had to force a smile, deal with all sorts of pleasantries and congratulations, and constantly be wary of Ji Momo's probing gaze.

She felt like she was walking on a tightrope, and that one wrong step would send her plummeting into an abyss.

Finally, when it came time for the toasting ceremony, Yu Yuetong held up her wine glass and mechanically repeated blessings such as "thank you" and "may you have a long and happy marriage."

Just when she was about to give up, a waiter accidentally bumped into her, spilling a glass of red wine all over Qin Reng's dress.

"Ah!" Qin Reng exclaimed, his face turning deathly pale instantly. The champagne-colored dress, soaked with red wine, looked particularly jarring.

The surrounding guests gasped in surprise, and the scene became chaotic for a moment.

Looking at her own disheveled state, Yu Yuetong felt a pang of guilt.

She quickly pulled out a tissue, wanting to help Qin Reng wipe himself, but Qin Reng pushed her away.

"Don't touch me!" Qin Reng's tone was tinged with anger and grievance.

Yu Yuetong was stunned for a moment, then realized what was happening. Qin Reng was currently using her body, and being splashed with wine in public must have made him feel humiliated and embarrassed.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," Yu Yuetong quickly apologized, her tone carrying a hint of gentleness.

Qin Reng didn't say anything, but glared at her fiercely before turning around and running out of the banquet hall.

Upon seeing this, Yu Yuetong disregarded everything else and quickly chased after him.

She followed him all the way to the hotel bathroom and saw Qin Reng facing the mirror, wiping the wine stains off his dress with a frustrated expression.

"Are you alright?" Yu Yuetong asked cautiously.

Qin Reng raised his head, his eyes red-rimmed, looking like he was about to cry.

"What do you think?" Qin Reng retorted irritably. "This is a dress I carefully selected, and we even pretended to be pregnant. Now you've almost ruined it!"

Yu Yuetong was speechless. She knew Qin Reng was in a bad mood, but she didn't know how to comfort him.

"I...I didn't mean to," Yu Yuetong apologized again, her tone tinged with helplessness.

"I know you didn't mean it, but that doesn't change the fact. Do you know how dangerous that was? If we had been discovered, our whole plan would have been ruined!" Qin Reng's tone carried a hint of displeasure.

As Yu Yuetong watched him coldly avert his gaze, an indescribable feeling suddenly welled up inside her.

She reached out and gently stroked Qin Reng's cheek.

"Don't cry, I... I'll make it up to you." Yu Yuetong's voice was a little hoarse.

Qin Reng paused for a moment, looking at the "himself" so close to him, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes.

"You..." Qin Reng was about to speak when Yu Yuetong pulled him into her arms.

"Let me hug you." Yu Yuetong's voice was soft, but it carried an undeniable firmness.

Qin Reng's body stiffened for a moment, then slowly relaxed, burying his head in Yu Yuetong's shoulder.

The restroom was quiet, with only the soft breathing of the two people mingling together.

Just then, the bathroom door was suddenly pushed open...

The bathroom door was pushed open, revealing Qin's mother, Han Shuang's, surprised face.

She looked at "Yu Yuetong" and "Qin Reng" hugging each other, her expression changing from surprise to confusion, and finally to a meaningful smile.

"What...what are you doing?" Han Shuang's voice carried a hint of sarcasm.

Yu Yuetong released Qin Reng as if she had been electrocuted, a hint of panic flashing across her face. She never expected that her mother-in-law would witness this scene.

Qin Reng was also a little embarrassed. He quickly straightened his disheveled dress and said in a composed manner, "Mom, what brings you here?"

Han Shuang did not answer Qin Reng's question, but walked straight up to the two of them, looking them up and down with a look of inquiry in her eyes.

"You...you wouldn't happen to be..." Han Shuang hesitated, a hint of ambiguity on her face.

Yu Yuetong and Qin Reng exchanged a glance, both seeing helplessness and embarrassment in each other's eyes.

"Mom, you're overthinking it," Yu Yuetong quickly explained. "I was just... comforting Qin Reng."

"Comfort?" Han Shuang raised an eyebrow, a hint of doubt in her voice. "Does comforting require a hug?"

Yu Yuetong was speechless. She couldn't possibly tell her mother-in-law that she and Qin Reng had switched bodies, could she?

"Mom, there's really nothing between us," Qin Reng explained. "Please don't make wild guesses."

Han Shuang's smile deepened as she watched the two of them in their flustered state.

"Alright, alright, I won't ask anymore." Han Shuang waved her hand, her tone slightly teasing. "I understand young people."

Yu Yuetong and Qin Reng both breathed a sigh of relief, thankfully Han Shuang didn't press the matter further.

“However…” Han Shuang’s tone shifted, a sly glint in her eyes, “You should get ready, the baby looks like it’s about to be born.”

"A child?" Yu Yuetong and Qin Reng were taken aback and exclaimed in unison.

"Yes, kids," Han Shuang said with a smile, "Get ready, I've been wanting to hold my grandson for a long time."

Yu Yuetong and Qin Reng exchanged a glance, both seeing despair in each other's eyes.

"Mom, we...we still have work to do." Qin Reng quickly changed the subject.

"Work?" Han Shuang frowned. "Is work more important or the child?"

“Of course the child is more important!” Yu Yuetong quickly said.

"Since the child is so important, let's get ready quickly," Han Shuang said with a smile. "I can't wait to hold my grandson."

Yu Yuetong and Qin Reng were completely speechless. They couldn't very well tell Han Shuang that they couldn't even control their own bodies, let alone have children.

"Mom, we...we'll try our best," Yu Yuetong said helplessly.

"Try your best?" Han Shuang was somewhat dissatisfied. "What do you mean by 'try your best'? You absolutely have to give birth!"

Yu Yuetong and Qin Reng were on the verge of tears. What terrible things had they done?

"Mom, we...we're going back now." Qin Reng grabbed Yu Yuetong's hand and fled the bathroom as if escaping.

Han Shuang watched the two flee in disarray, a meaningful smile appearing on her face.

Back in the banquet hall, Yu Yuetong and Qin Reng were both somewhat absent-minded.

They didn't know how to face the rest of their lives, nor how to explain the child to Han Shuang.

Just then, a waiter came over with a glass of champagne.

"Sir, here's your champagne." The waiter handed the champagne to Qin Reng.

Qin Reng took the champagne and was about to take a sip when he suddenly felt dizzy.

"What's wrong?" Yu Yuetong asked with concern.

"I...I feel a little unwell." Qin Reng's voice was weak.

Upon seeing this, Yu Yuetong quickly helped Qin Reng up.

"Let's...let's go back first," Yu Yuetong said.

"Okay." Qin Reng nodded.
