Magical Journey: The Other Shore Blooms on the Other Shore

Chapter 234 You guys aren't here to attack the city, are you?

Since Aminia left home, she and her sister have been wandering from country to country. They claim to be looking for a new place to settle, but in reality, they're just traveling around having fun and have no intention of settling down.

If it weren't for limited funds, and the need to work odd jobs to save money for her trip, she probably wouldn't have stayed in this kingdom at all, but ended up accidentally meeting Saya and her group.

As luck would have it, her immediate destination upon arrival was Roberta in the Kingdom of Peace. After all, it was Elena's hometown, and seeing was believing. However, she hadn't considered simply visiting Elena's home, mainly because Elena was always traveling, and generally, you wouldn't see her even if you went to her house.

After setting off through the teleportation arrays, they arrived at the nearest teleportation array to Roberta. A group of mages (except for one white-haired oddball) boarded brooms and headed towards Roberta.

Avelia, carrying her sister, raced to the very back of the group.

She wasn't a witch herself, and she was carrying a burden on her back. This witch-like flying speed almost exhausted Avilia.

"Are you feeling unwell? You look a little pale," Amuncia asked with concern.

"What do you think caused this?" Avelia asked with a forced smile. You really have no idea how difficult it is for a magician to be on a manned spaceflight and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with a witch.

"You must not have slept well last night."

Okay, you really don't know.

Forget it, I'm too tired to explain.

The approach of so many witches wearing witch brooches flying high in the sky terrified the guards of Roberta. Although Roberta was not a harsh, desolate place, and witches in Roberta were not treated like rare, precious beings, the approach of so many witches would still put any kingdom on edge.

With one magic bullet from each person, Roberta's walls would collapse like paper.

It will take time for the witches of Roberta to gather, and in that time, they will have enough time to destroy most of Roberta.

In the past, wars between witches were commonplace, and encountering a large group of witches entering the country might not have been so alarming. Now, after a long period of peace, the military preparedness of the Peaceful Kingdom has become somewhat lax, and it's rare to see so many foreign witches gathered together to enter the country at the same time.

"Excuse me, what brings you here?" the gatekeeper asked Sheila, who was in charge, forcing himself to stay alert.

She probably wouldn't just raise her hand and kill me, would she? I'm just a lowly nobody in the system, just coasting along and waiting to die.

“To carry out a special mission for the Magic Integration Association.” Sheila took out the contract certificate of the Magic Integration Association, which had the association’s special magical mark on it. Of course, ordinary people could not identify it, so this was just a formality.

Sheila straightened the moon brooch representing the association: "Don't be so nervous. You should at least trust the association's credibility."

"Is this Elena's hometown?" This was Saya's first time in Roberta. Although she had wanted to come for a long time, she hadn't had the chance because of her busy work schedule. Besides, Elena was usually not in this place, so what was the point of coming here?

"Are you looking for Lady Gray Witch?" the guard asked. It must be said that Elaina, as a magical genius, might not be anything special in other places, given the strong independence between nations. Moreover, Elaina isn't the most outstanding among all magical geniuses; that's just how the world is—it remembers the first and ignores the second and third. But in Roberta, Elaina is undoubtedly renowned.

“Yes,” Sheila replied.

"Good, they're not here to attack the city. Please enter." The guard, of course, had no intention of stopping them or further questioning their purpose. Ridiculous! Why risk his life to ask when he only earned five gold coins a month? What if he heard something terrible? He'd be finished.

It's just a routine matter, enough to let the boss know that I'm not slacking off.

Fran knew about Sheila's arrival immediately. Before Sheila even reached Elena's house, the two met on the way.

"Is that all the people you have?" Fran's first words upon meeting her were a complaint.

"What???" Sheila blew a puff of smoke into her senior sister's face.

How many witches do you want? Shall we take down Beatrice together? Are we really going to attack the city?

“You really should quit smoking.” Fran waved her wand to dispel the smoke. “Alright, alright.”

“You didn’t even tell us what we need to do.” Sheila asked the question on behalf of her team, the one for which they knew the answer first. The mission written on the association’s mission sheet was “to explore the route to the far north kingdom of Beatrice,” and the association had only reluctantly agreed to send so many witches because of the treacherous climate of the Sighing Snowfield.

But they had no idea what they needed to do; they couldn't just blindly rush into that godforsaken place where even witches might freeze to death.

“Good question. I don’t know what needs to be done either,” Fran shrugged.

You should ask Elena about this.

Elena didn't say anything, only that the matter was troublesome, so she called for help. Fran didn't know anything else about the specifics.

“You really don’t treat my job like a job at all,” Sheila sighed sadly. “You might ruin my livelihood.”

“No, no, it’s not that bad. The more witches we need, the better. I guarantee the association won’t say a word,” Fran said.

"Excuse me, may we see Elena?" Emnicia asked bluntly.

Fran squinted at the white-haired girl for a long time, then seemed to remember something and finally recognized Amysia: "Not now, she's still locked herself in the attic."

"what?"

“Ever since Qin was taken to Beatrice, she hasn’t come down,” Fran said. “While I’m not sure what we need to do, bringing Qin back safely is definitely our ultimate goal.”

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's dismantle that damn thing right now and rescue that bastard," Saya said.

It's about saving lives.

If you go now, you might still see the person; if you wait too long, you don't know. Perhaps all you'll find are ashes.

Although Koto's death might not necessarily be a bad thing for Saya, she hid this sinister thought deep in her heart and tried her best not to think about it.

He kept hypnotizing himself with his experience reading storybooks: if Qin were gone, his image in Elena's heart would become even more perfect; only if he lived could he expose more of his flaws, and only then would he have a chance.

“Good idea, but we don’t know where Beatrice is,” Fran smiled.

If Fran had known, she would have gone there long ago.

As for conducting a thorough search of the Sighing Snowfield, by the time Beatrice is found, Qin's ashes might have already been scattered. Perhaps they weren't even cremated.

Therefore, Fran pinned her hopes on Elena to find a way to locate Beatrice's exact location, since Elena knew more about it, and she should have been working on that for the past few days.

“The witches I’ve contacted should be arriving in Roberta soon,” Fran said. “I’ll go see Elena later.”
