Chapter 251 A Gold Beaded Anklet

"The steering wheel is in your hands, what can I say!" Du Liangchen said sarcastically.

Mei Jing: "You can take your driving test later, and then you can drive."

"Aren't you afraid I'm a novice? How can you trust me so much?" Du Liangchen blinked his slightly red eyes.

Mei Jing looked at him with adoration, her Adam's apple bobbing slightly. "Don't be afraid! My life is yours, why would I be afraid to ride in your car? Besides, I've taught you, you just don't have a license yet."

"Your words are so sweet, did you put honey on them?"

"Did you get enough of the honey just now, or... weren't you satisfied?"

Blushing with embarrassment at the words, Du Liangchen huffed and puffed, "You're being a pervert! I'm getting off the bus!"

"No, no, no! I was wrong." Mei Jing quickly apologized, taking out the birthday gift she had prepared beforehand and handing it to him: "Happy 18th birthday, baby!!"

"Thank you!" Du Liangchen smiled as he accepted the gift and eagerly opened it; it was a red string with a little rabbit inside.

He took it out and held it up to his wrist; it was a bit too big. He looked at Mei Jing with a puzzled expression and asked, "This... isn't the right size?"

Mei Jing smiled gently, "It's not tied to your hand, it's tied to your ankle, you silly girl!"

Still wondering if it was a gift for someone else, Du Liangchen blinked and smiled sheepishly, "You should have said so earlier! I thought..."

"What did you think? I made this for you myself. No one else has this unique piece!" Mei Jing patted his thigh and comforted him with a smile, "I know you don't like wearing any accessories, so I made this so you don't have to bother taking it off."

Du Liangchen's eyes flickered slightly; he knew Mei Jing was referring to the jade pendant that had scratched him. "I really like it, thank you!"

They drove the car into the parking lot, put on hats and masks, and took the elevator to the movie theater on the fifth floor.

Mei Jing smiled gently and said, "Baby, I'm going to get the tickets. You wait here for me."

Du Liangchen looked around and nodded. After Mei Jing left, he went to the place where popcorn was sold.

"Hello, I'd like a popcorn and a large Coke."

The waiter quickly packed the bag for him and handed it to him.

Mei Jing turned around after getting the tickets and found Du Liangchen was gone, her heart skipping a beat. She frantically searched everywhere, and finally spotted that familiar figure at the popcorn counter. Mei Jing quickly went up to him, "What did you buy?"

"I bought popcorn and cola." Du Liangchen turned to look at him with a smile, and naturally placed the cola in his hand.

"Don't run around next time. I'll worry if I can't find you." Even though Mei Jing was anxious because she couldn't find him, she couldn't bear to scold him when she saw how happy he was.

Du Liangchen rolled his eyes at him. "Do you treat me like a child? Are you afraid I'll get lost?"

Looking into his wet, bright eyes, Mei Jing said with lingering fear, "You're even more endearing than a child!"

"Get out of here! You're getting more and more ridiculous." Du Liangchen glared at him, pushed him aside, and walked towards the empty tables and chairs where customers could rest.

Mei Jing looked at his bright red ears, a light laugh escaped her lips, and took two long strides to catch up with the figure in front of her.

Two well-built men appearing together in the movie theater were quite eye-catching. Although their faces couldn't be clearly seen, their deep-set eyes and brows made it clear that they were good-looking.

Ten minutes later, ticket checking began.

Mei Jing bought a ticket for a recently released Chinese horror movie. Du Liangchen had mentioned it once before, and he had kept it in mind ever since.
