Figure Skating: Waltz on Ice

Chapter 214 Ni Ni Wai Wai

Coming to her senses, Du Liangchen felt a flush on her face. Thinking about what had just happened, she covered her burning face with embarrassment and buried her head in Mei Jing's arms like a frightened kitten.

Feeling the vibration in Mei Jing's chest, knowing he was laughing at him, Du Liangchen reached out and pinched him on the waist, "Don't laugh!"

The coquettish voice startled Du Liangchen, and he kept his mouth tightly shut. The threat, far from being harmless, sounded more like a playful tantrum, and Mei Jing's laughter grew louder.

He didn't see Du Liangchen's expression in his arms; the slightly upturned corners of his mouth conveyed a sense of certainty.

He did it on purpose, by feigning weakness to see how Mei Jing would react to such a situation.

After all, compared to conquering Du Liangchen's family, the level of difficulty is only considered hard.

The situation with Mei Jing's family was hellish.

Du Liangchen had met Mei Jing's father before; he was a man with an extremely powerful and terrifying aura.

Even though he liked Mei Jing very much, he wouldn't lose his mind because of it. He needed to know Mei Jing's attitude in order to decide whether their relationship should continue.

Having not seen Du Liangchen get up for a while, and fearing he might suffocate, she patted his back reassuringly, "Alright! Alright! Don't stay cooped up, you can't let my baby get sick from suffocation. Otherwise, I won't have a baby anymore, that won't do!"

"It's all your fault. Don't kiss me next time," Du Liangchen said in a muffled voice.

Mei Jing refused without hesitation: "That won't do!"

"You!" Du Liangchen straightened up, pointed at him, pouted in dissatisfaction, and gave him a big glare. "Hmph~"

Mei Jing, concerned that he hadn't eaten, quickly tried to appease him, "I was wrong, I was wrong, I shouldn't have laughed at you. Can you pinch me again?"

Du Liangchen: "No, I'm thirsty, I want to drink water!"

"Okay, okay! I'll go get you some water." She got up, not forgetting to steal a kiss, only to get a punch in the stomach. "Uh~ I'll get the water, I'll get the water, don't be angry, it's just that you're so tempting!"

Du Liangchen glared at him, and seeing that he had finally gone to get water, he rubbed his head, picked up his phone, and prepared to order takeout.

He couldn't get out in his current state; a burning pain shot through his slightly swollen lips, and he knew without even looking that they had been bitten.

Mei Jing sat down next to him and offered him water, but Du Liangchen didn't reach out to take it; he was adding it to his shopping cart. He instinctively opened his mouth and drank from Mei Jing's hand, the slightly protruding pink tip making Mei Jing involuntarily swallow.

Seeing him pull his head back to avoid the cup, Mei Jing knew he wasn't going to drink anymore. She tilted her head back and finished the rest of the water, then asked, "What did you order?"

"Barbecue!" Du Liangchen smacked his lips, looking like he was drooling with desire, which made Mei Jing laugh.

"I really wanted to eat this when I was abroad, but the shops in Chinatown weren't authentic. So I tried to make it myself, but then a fire broke out, and as you can imagine, I didn't get to eat it," he said, spreading his hands with a helpless and pitiful expression.

"Poor child!" Mei Jing's eyes were filled with heartache. "And then? Did they make things difficult for you?"

"No, they just looked at my passport and left," Du Liangchen complained pitifully. "But what's infuriating is that when they left, they took all my barbecue equipment with them and warned me not to do it again."

"I strongly suspect they wanted to eat it, and they brazenly stole my barbecue."
