The full moon hung on the horizon, veiled by a thin layer of clouds. The normally bright moon appeared somewhat dim and eerie. On the sea, a ghostly cruise ship slowly sailed.

The clock on the cruise ship struck 10:30, the candles in the banquet hall flickered, and Captain Gao De's voice rang out again.

"Dear ghosts and monsters, it's 10:30. First of all, congratulations to everyone who has completed the mission within the past two hours! After midnight, you can go to the fourth floor of the cruise ship to attend the banquet. The invitations to the banquet have been placed in your rooms. Please return to your rooms to check them afterward."

The monsters and demons in the banquet hall all let out strange cries in response to Captain Gao De's words.

In the corner, Jiang Jin and Furuya Rei exchanged a glance. The witch and the demon seemed to be deep in thought. The invisible man looked at the crowd. Medusa took out the tarot card again, while Kogoro Mouri kept looking at the invisible man.

"There will be new rules for the games at the banquet. I believe you have gained some understanding of the cruise ship's layout in the past two hours. I wish you all a pleasant time!"

Some people left the banquet hall one after another and returned to their rooms to check the invitations to the evening banquet.

The invisible man walked through the corridor to his room, where a black invitation was indeed placed on the table. Just as Captain Gao De had said, he had gained a general understanding of the layout of the entire cruise ship in the past two hours.

"Nothing has happened on the ship so far. I was just overthinking it. This party actually has nothing to do with the organization, or maybe..." The invisible man's gaze fell on the invitation, "...they won't show up until the banquet?"

The medicine Ai Haibara gave him will only last for one day, which means he must leave the ship or resolve the issues on board by tomorrow night.

The Invisible Man, or more accurately, Shinichi Kudo, opened the invitation and carefully examined its contents. It was 10:30, with an hour and a half until midnight. During this hour and a half, everyone still had different tasks, and this time, different roles had been added. Notably, there was also an "assassin" role among them.

"And my identity this time is... a detective."

"clang--"

The ship's bells rang, the hands pointing to eleven o'clock. A woman dressed as a ghost walked through the corridor. The lights suddenly flickered. The ghost looked up, glanced at the light, and continued walking.

With a "thud," a person suddenly collapsed in the corridor at the corner ahead. The female ghost was startled, then quickly ran towards the person lying on the ground.

"Have assassins already made their move?" The female ghost, who had also received the invitation to the banquet, crouched down and patted the person, who didn't react. "That was quite a convincing performance... Ah!!"

The female ghost turned the person over, but there was a gleaming knife stuck in the person's neck. This was not a performance at all; someone had really died!

The terrified screams immediately attracted the attention of others, who all asked what had happened. The guest playing the female ghost covered her mouth, pointed at the corpse lying on the ground, and said in a trembling voice, "Someone...someone is dead."

Kogoro Mouri pushed through the crowd to examine the body: "A single, fatal stab. This murderer was truly ruthless!"

"How could this be... that someone really died?"

"Isn't this a film audition...?"

"Isn't it a game? Really?"

The people gathered around started talking, clearly none of them had expected a real murder to happen on the cruise ship.

The new engineer stood in the crowd, his finger resting on his chin, deep in thought. The killer's method was swift and decisive—could it be them? But was it necessary to kill a guest like this?

His gaze swept over the surrounding crowd, those who had seemed suspicious to him for the past two hours. There were seven people in total.

They were the werewolf, the mummy, and the hunchback, who were on the same team as them. The other team consisted of the witch, the demon, and the two people dressed as the Black and White Impermanence.

"Hmm? These are his tarot cards." Kogoro Mouri searched the corpse and found a tarot card. "It's The Fool. Is any of you on the same team as this lizard-like man?" Kogoro Mouri asked loudly, holding up the tarot card.

After a while, a female monster with a strange face painted on her hand raised her sign in the crowd: "Um, we're on the same team as him."

“There are five of you in total, but we’re one short,” Kogoro Mori counted.

“There’s also someone with skull makeup,” the woman said.

Everyone subconsciously looked around and their gazes fell on Jiang Jin and Furuya Rei, since only the two of them had skull makeup on their faces.

“Don’t look at us.” Jiang Jin flipped the tarot cards between his fingers, revealing the cards. “We are the Death cards, and we don’t know this deceased person.”

Just then, a voice came from behind the crowd: "Hey, why are so many people gathered here?"

Everyone turned to look, and the person who had just arrived had a full-face skull makeup. Upon being stared at like that, the person instinctively took a step back: "Wh...what's wrong?"

“Your companion, who also held the Fool's Tarot cards, was killed, and you… you’re only just arriving now.” Kogoro Mouri’s gaze swept over him. “May I ask where you were just now?”

"What? Dead?" The skeleton was stunned. He initially thought it was the game mentioned in the invitation, but looking at the expressions on the other people's faces, he sensed something was off. He took a few steps forward and saw a lizard-man-themed corpse lying on the ground with a dinner knife stuck in its neck. "No... Come on, is this for real? I was just here in the room! Do you suspect I did it?"

No one spoke, and the skull felt fear.

"It wasn't me! Why would I kill someone!"

Just then, the loudspeaker in the corridor suddenly came on, and Captain Goddard's voice rang out: "It seems a monster hunter has infiltrated our ship, and he wants to kill you all. We must find him, and of course, to ensure your safety, it's best if you don't act alone."

Sonoko lowered her voice and turned to Medusa, saying, "Does this captain even know about the murder? Or is he really behind it all? Were the film selections this elaborate before?"

Medusa shook her head: "Never, not even that so-called banquet."

Kogoro Mouri cleared his throat: "In that case, I think it would be best if everyone went back to their rooms and tried not to act alone. As for those who had the same card as the deceased, I'm afraid I'll have to trouble you to cooperate with the investigation."

"Who are you? Why should we listen to you?" someone in the group holding the Fool's card complained.

"You all don't know yet, but this is none other than the famous detective Kogoro Mouri," Jiang Jin said, directly revealing the other party's identity. "Not only that, I heard from some staff members that the high school detective, Shinichi Kudo, is also on the ship. There's really no need for everyone to worry too much."

Kogoro Mouri's smug expression suddenly turned serious, and he glanced around.

Upon hearing these words, Shinichi Kudo's expression subtly changed. He glanced at Jiang Jin without showing any emotion, but Jiang Jin continued as if he hadn't noticed, "I heard before that he was killed while investigating some case, but now it seems that was all just a rumor..."

Hearing that a great detective was on the ship, the others seemed to feel relieved and began to return to their rooms in groups.

Shinichi Kudo watched the seven suspects leave, but ultimately decided not to follow them. Instead, he stayed behind and planned to investigate the murder case with Kogoro Mouri.

Footsteps echoed down the corridor as Jiang Jin and Furuya Rei walked and talked, "So, have you figured out who Kudo Shinichi is yet?"

"That's basically it. I'll go back and join the investigation with them later," Furuya Rei said. "You didn't do this, did you?"

Jiang Jin put his hands in his pockets and said, "Please, how could I do such a boring thing? After all, there is Death on this ship, and there is absolutely no need for me to create any chaos."

“It’s fine if it’s not you.” Furuya Rei ignored the strange content in the other person’s words. “If we find the culprit, I’ll take care of him and that Shinichi Kudo at the same time. That way, we can make it look like he fought the culprit and they died together.”

Jiang Jin clapped his hands, beaming with a bright smile: "Ah Ling is so smart!"

Rei Furuya said with obvious disdain, "Don't talk to me like that. Go do your own thing."

In a cabin on the third floor of the cruise ship, the door lock clicked as it turned, then opened with a "click." The room was dark, but the shape of a bulge on the bed was vaguely visible.

The man approached the bed silently, raised his gun, aimed at the bulge on the bed, and slowly pressed down on the trigger.

"Ah-"

The silencer attached to the muzzle minimized the sound of the gunshot, and the bullet didn't hit the bed but stayed on the wall.

Before the shot was fired, the muzzle had already been turned towards the person behind him, where a tall figure stood, having just dodged a dangerous shot.

As the cruise ship rose and fell with the sea, the dim moonlight streamed into the room, illuminating a face that was half handsome and half terrifying.

"I knew you'd be here."
