First, take down the Sword Demon, then save Runeterra.
Chapter 34 God-level Sword Sheath
Ornn was not afraid of the high temperature and held the partially cooled scabbard directly in his hand.
It was ten meters long, which was at most a short sword for Ornn's huge size, but for Ator, it was impossible for him to carry it!
The scabbard is dark red, with a regular rectangle as its main body, decorated with patterns resembling flowing lava.
It is wide enough to accommodate a greatsword compared to a typical rapier scabbard.
Its end is quite sharp, and the whole thing looks like an isosceles triangle and a rectangle pieced together.
Ato looked at the neat, geometrically beautiful scabbard, then at the bizarrely shaped Darkin Demon Sword behind him, and couldn't help but complain, "Why do you have so many spikes? You can't even find a suitable scabbard..."
"Before I was sealed, I was at my lowest point, filled with mad thoughts. After breaking the seal, my appearance changed to this, which was beyond my control," Aatrox said confidently.
“It’s finished.” Orn’s thick beard couldn’t hide his joy. “This is my most satisfying work in a thousand years.”
Orn released his grip, and the dark red scabbard floated in the air on its own, drifting towards Ator.
Throughout the process, it kept shrinking, and when it reached Atto, it was less than two meters long, which was exactly the length that Atto could carry diagonally on his back.
"So intelligent?" Ato stepped forward and picked up the scabbard, which was still warm from being forged. "It doesn't look like the magic sword and the scabbard could possibly fit together..."
“Appearances are not a reason for them to fit together.” Orn was still basking in the satisfaction of creating an excellent piece of work. “Give it a try.”
Ato seemed to understand something, grasped the hilt of the Darkin Demon Sword, aimed it at the scabbard, and tried to put it away.
Although they look very different, both the massive tip of the demon sword and the spikes above the hilt were smoothly pushed into the scabbard.
The sword remained unobstructed until the entire blade was submerged in the scabbard, with only the hilt remaining outside, as if the scabbard contained infinite space.
"This is the divine artifact forged by a demigod? Old man, what do you think?"
“It’s amazing.” Aatrox’s voice came directly into Aatrox’s ears this time, and no one else could hear it.
"I do feel much more at ease here. It helps me suppress my madness. Once I regain more rationality, I may be able to restore the control I had over the war when I was a general in the Empire."
"Heh heh, I'm not just a brute with strength; I once commanded an entire army!"
Atoll then began telepathically communicating with Aatrox: "Your men have all become Darkin, scattered across the world. If we meet again, will they still recognize you?"
“I have that confidence,” Aatrox said firmly. “Even if they are left with only instinct, their only instinct will be to obey General Aatrox’s orders!”
Ato was speechless for a moment, never expecting that the game character he thought he knew so well would have such a side. His past was truly glorious.
"How about it? A scabbard that perfectly meets the requirements." Orn tilted his head slightly, waiting for others' praise.
So this is the Ornn you are... This trip was definitely worthwhile; I saw a side of the heroes that no one else knew.
"Now, take out the greatsword again and let's see."
Could the scabbard have some other function? Ator pulled out the Darkin Demon Sword again, his eyes widening in surprise.
The spikes and pulsating heart on the Darkin Blade have all disappeared, and it now looks just like a normal greatsword made of fine steel.
However, Ato quickly realized that this was just a disguise, and with a thought, the demonic sword returned to its original terrifying appearance.
“A very useful function! Thank you, demigod Orn.” Ator sheathed his magic sword and bowed slightly. “With this magical scabbard, I will have far fewer troubles.”
"Hmm, it's nothing. By the way, if you see Dolan again, please give him a message: I will always remember the longing in his eyes when he looked at forging."
“I will, if he were still alive. I should probably be leaving now. Thank you again for your help, demigod Orn.”
"Let me send you out. This space is under my control. Little one, I also want to thank you for bringing news of Dolan."
"Although I can't see through your destiny, I can see one thing: the world may have a chance to resolve its crisis because of your appearance. Do what you think is right."
Orn raised his right hand and enveloped Ator in firelight.
He nodded slightly to Ator, and under Ornn's control, Ator left the sweltering Hearthland and returned to the icy Freljord.
"Not bad, a demigod." Aatrox's voice echoed in Aatrox's mind.
"I never expected that just using Master Dolan's information would make him agree to forge a scabbard."
Atto pulled out a few hemp ropes from his body, wrapped them around the dark red scabbard a few times, slung them over his back, and couldn't hide the smile on his lips.
"That way, I won't stand out as much, and I'll look just like a warrior wielding a greatsword."
"How about it, doesn't it look like Ichigo Kurosaki?" Ato was still wearing that hooded black robe, and with the large sword wrapped around it, it was hard not to make the connection.
"Who is that? It doesn't sound like a person's name."
"Ahem, I got a little carried away..." Ato scratched his head and awkwardly changed the subject: "After we see Lissandra, we can leave here and head south to Noxus."
"By then, the entire Noxus must have been in high gear preparing for the war. We disguised ourselves as warriors wielding greatswords, joined the army, and sailed to Ionia on their ships."
"War... I miss it. Will you help Noxus fight this invasion?"
“No, I’m not helping anyone.” Ator had already thought of this. “The old fogies of Ionia will never know what they’re going to face unless an outside force wakes them up.”
"As for Noxus, I find it hard to comment on them. Ionia offered absolutely no resistance, yet they still lost!"
"Noxus is still under the rule of Emperor Brown Darkwell. If we don't lose this war, the internal power structure will not undergo a major reshuffle."
“If they don’t reshuffle the deck, the future situation on the mainland will be completely different… I don’t want them to dominate.”
"...You have a good understanding of the current situation on the continent, just like I did back then." After being suppressed by the sword sheath, Aatrox regained more of his rationality and couldn't help but sigh.
"As an imperial general, one must have a clear understanding of the relative strengths of both sides, be adept at military strategy, recognize that one's own strength is limited, and rely heavily on one's loyal subordinates..."
"Alright, alright, I'm not going to Noxus to be a general." It was a telepathic conversation, and covering his ears was no use. "The current mission is to continue north to find Lissandra. I have a deal with her."
