Henry wasn't in a hurry to leave. It was rare to find a fish bait shop here with such a complete selection, including rare baits that couldn't be found anywhere else. Given Henry's timid nature, he couldn't possibly let this opportunity slip by.

Seeing that Henry had practically bought up all the bait in the shop, the proprietress beamed with joy and enthusiastically recommended some excellent fishing spots nearby to Henry and his group. She also reminded them not to fish in the waters near Lacai, where there are many alligators, and she had heard that there was a huge alligator that often attacked people.

These words only made things worse. As soon as Arthur heard about the rare animal, he became excited, as he had been keeping Henry's animal bounty in mind.

"How about we go fishing over there? Maybe we'll run into that big guy and add a new member to your animal family. Sounds exciting."

Seeing Arthur's excited face and the equally eager black-clad beauty, Henry didn't mind. With these sharpshooters around, there wouldn't be any danger. It didn't matter where they fished, so he agreed.

"Blair, I'm not bragging, but I'm really good at fishing. If you don't understand anything later, just ask me. I guarantee you'll have a blast fishing. Even if you don't catch anything, no worries, I'll share some of my big fish with you, hahaha."

When it came to fishing, Arthur became as happy as a thirty-something-year-old child, constantly boasting to the woman in black, making her want to grab the shotgun on her saddle and give him a good whack.

But this happiness didn't last long before Henry ruthlessly interrupted it.

The woman in black couldn't stand Arthur's arrogant attitude and urged Henry to quickly reveal the big, dumb guy's dark past.

"Hosea said that once you went fishing and proudly brought back several big bass, excitedly bragging to everyone in the camp about your fishing skills. A few days later, when he and you were passing through a market, you heard a fishmonger call out to you, asking if you liked the big bass you bought earlier and if you wanted to buy a few more to take home."

Henry watched Arthur's increasingly embarrassed expression with a smile, until finally he angrily shouted his defense.

He then muttered to himself, "That old man is really something, why does he tell everyone? When we get back, I'll have to dilute his wine with some water."

"No, just diluting it with water is too lenient on him. We should drink all the wine he has collected and then fill his cup with river water. That's right, that's what we should do."

Even after they reached the fishing spot, Arthur kept muttering to himself.

Meanwhile, back at Horseshoe Lookout, where he and Charles were planning their animal capture route, Old He suddenly felt a chill down his spine and sneezed several times. He lamented to Charles that he must be getting old, catching colds so easily.

The pleasant fishing time passed quickly, but of course, this pleasantness did not include our Mr. Morgan. He looked at Henry and his two companions who returned with a full catch, while his own fish basket only contained a few small fish. He continued to fish on the riverbank with a resentful look on his face, refusing even when the beautiful woman in black called him over to eat the plump, grilled perch they had prepared.

In the afternoon, the group dragged the reluctant, big guy across the Comassa River and arrived at a hotel in Rhodes at sunset.

Recalling the giant python they encountered not far above Hagen Orchard that afternoon, everyone was still shaken.

The group had just left from fishing in Lakay and were still a little disappointed because they hadn't encountered the legendary giant crocodile. Arthur suggested that they keep walking along the river and see if they would have a stroke of luck and meet it.

As the group passed over the Hagen Orchard, they didn't encounter the crocodile. However, they spotted a large, orange-red python, over ten meters long, perched on a tree on the opposite bank of the river. Half of its body dangled from a thick branch, its menacing head raised, its forked tongue flicking, staring at Henry and his companions. It was unclear whether it was threatening them or saw them as food. The group was terrified.

Luckily, a wild boar passed by and distracted it; otherwise, Henry would have jumped onto Li Yi's carriage, lifted the Maxim, and given it a good "Namo Amitabha" treatment.

Perhaps the day's experiences were too exciting, or perhaps the journey was too tiring, but no one was in much interest in chatting. After a quick dinner at the hotel, they all went back to their rooms to rest.

The next morning, Henry sent Li Yi to the post office to send a telegram to the old butler, asking him to arrange for a ship to come to Rhodes to pick them up and take them back. Because they had Maxim with them, the station staff refused their request to take the train, and they even spent a lot of time explaining to the police station before being warned and finally allowed to leave.

Henry and Arthur went to the upscale pub owned by the Grey family to inquire about Billy Middlenight's location. According to black market intelligence, Billy Middlenight was a heavy drinker, and he had recently been seen in the Rhodes area. Therefore, Henry guessed that there was a high probability that he was at this upscale pub, or at least had been there.

The process of finding the person was fortunate, but the outcome wasn't so pleasant.

Because of Billy Middlenight's alcoholic nature, the two easily encountered him at the Rhodes Club. However, before Henry could explain their intention to recruit him, he frantically fled. Even when Henry and Arthur caught up with him, he drew his gun on Henry's head, but after Arthur knocked the weapon out of his hand, he committed suicide, leaving Henry with a beautiful golden Mauser for free.

However, the Mauser pistol was still prone to jamming at this time (as seen when Jack's godfather was arrested), and Henry had already gotten used to using the M1899, so he kept it in his backpack as a historical collectible.

Having completed the main task of their mission, as the two were preparing to return to the tavern to find the woman in black (who was wanted in Lemoine and couldn't show herself too much to avoid unnecessary trouble), they encountered a black doctor named Alphonse Reynolds, whose carriage had been stolen after a verbal altercation.
