The wailing quickly attracted the attention of the innkeeper, but seeing the attire of Henry and his companions, he knew they were wealthy and powerful, the kind of people who were the most difficult to deal with. He didn't want to meddle, so after learning the details, he let it go.

After resolving Karen's matter, Henry took Zhang Wei and Kieran back to their room to put their things away before heading to the tavern for a hearty meal.

Meanwhile, Karen had returned to Uncle and Arthur to inform them about the Valentine Bank incident, and Arthur had also helped Tilly deal with the Foreman Brothers' gang. She also learned from Mary Beth that a train full of wealthy tourists was departing from New York, passing through Scarlett Meadows to reach Saint Denis, and then taking a boat to Brazil.

When Henry came out of the tavern, he saw the five of them gathered together sharing news.

"Hey Arthur, have you all taken care of things? Want to go to the tavern for a drink? My treat."

"Everything's taken care of, thank you for your kindness, Henry. I think we should..."

Arthur decided to send the supplies back to the gang first, since they were all still unfamiliar with the area and leaving a truck full of supplies on the vehicle wasn't safe. Besides, the town was full of cowboys, fugitives, and prostitutes, and he had little faith in their character.

Before Arthur could finish refusing, the uncle interrupted him loudly. How could the camp parasite, who was known for never missing a drink, let go of such an opportunity to rip off the big spender?

“Of course I need it, Henry. I feel so lucky to have met you. It would be perfect if I could also take a bath at the hotel next door.”

"No problem, I've booked a few rooms at the Saint's Tavern, and I'll be staying there for a while. If these beautiful ladies would like, they can perhaps enjoy a bath as well. Of course, just give me my name when you arrive at the tavern, and the bill will be on my tab."

Seeing this, Arthur had no choice but to agree. He followed the others back into the tavern, but kept glancing worriedly at the carriage parked at the tavern entrance.

He reached out and waved to Mickey, a familiar veteran not far away. Mickey, who had been idle, had already noticed the situation and immediately ran over happily. He knew that business was likely coming his way.

"Honorable sir, how may I help you?"

Mickey spoke respectfully, unlike when he first met Arthur, he didn't ask for a hug. He was clearly a perceptive person.

"Keep an eye on this wagon of supplies for me, don't let anyone try to take it. Any problems?" He tossed him 10 cents and said that if the wagon and supplies were safe, he would give him another 10 cents as a reward after they came out.

“Of course, no problem, I promise, sir.” Mickey patted his chest with his only remaining arm and took the money, assuring him.

Since he had just eaten, Henry simply ordered a drink and sipped it slowly, watching the uncle and the others enjoy their meal, occasionally chatting with Arthur and the others.

Zhang Wei and Kieran didn't come in. Henry told them to go back to the hotel and say goodbye to the owner, and suggested they take a shower first, then go to the post office to see if there was any news about Li Yi and the others. Their ranch should be almost finished by now.

Mary Beth and the other two were clearly not focused on their meal. A short while later, they announced they were finished and wanted to take a bath. Henry waved them off, while Arthur simply told them to be careful and then left them to their own devices.

Before they even reached the door, Sheriff Malloy of Valentine led several officers into the tavern.

"Sir, they are the ones who hit me. Arrest them immediately, put them in jail, and make them compensate me for my losses."

Upon seeing Karen and Henry, one of the men behind Malloy immediately shouted loudly and pointed at Henry, yelling at him.

Arthur and his companions were surprised and nervous when the police broke in. After all, he was a wanted criminal, and one with a very high bounty. Although the wanted notices for each state were not interconnected, that did not prevent someone from coming to arrest them and take them back to West Elizabeth to collect the bounty.

“This is Sheriff Curtis Malloy. Sir, you have been accused of trespassing on private property and causing serious injury at the Saints Hotel. Please come with us.”

Malloy, seeing Henry's aristocratic attire, spoke politely. However, upon noticing the pistols at the waists of Henry and Arthur, and the wary movements of Arthur and the others, he quickly raised his own weapon and added a remark.

"I hope you will not resist and commit an even more serious mistake."

Hearing that it wasn't a case of being exposed, but rather a minor incident involving injury, Arthur visibly relaxed. He didn't want to start living on the run again just because he had killed a policeman. He was quite satisfied with the environment at Horseshoe Overlook.

Henry gestured for Arthur and the others to calm down and release their hands from their weapons. He stood empty-handed in front of Malloy.

“Sir Sheriff, what evidence do you have? You can’t just believe whatever someone says. I only arrived in Valentine today and didn’t know him before. Why would I randomly hit someone I have no connection with? I don’t think you want your misconduct to spread throughout the western region and tarnish the reputation of the town of Valentine. I believe I have the financial resources and connections to do so.”

After carefully observing Henry's attire, demeanor, and the confidence in his words, Inspector Malloy believed that Henry was not trying to intimidate him, and he couldn't take the risk.

Although Valentine doesn't have an honorary mayor, it does have a community council, whose members are mostly local businessmen and farmers. Most matters in town, including the appointment of the sheriff, are decided by meetings of the community council representatives.

If they knew that his poor handling of the situation had tarnished Valentine's reputation throughout the West and caused business losses, he'd be fired as sheriff. But since it was broad daylight and someone had come to report a crime, he couldn't ignore it, or he'd severely damage his prestige in town.

Seeing this, his tone softened, and he gestured for his men to put away their pistols. However, his hand remained near the gun.

"I don't know how to address this gentleman. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding in our communication just now. We are not here to arrest you. We have just received a report and we need you to come over for investigation. We hope you can understand our difficulties. If you are innocent, then I will severely punish the perpetrator. You don't want to be wronged, do you?"
