Soon, under the gun, Dalton and his men didn't dare to resist and were quickly tied up. As for the few who were still hungover inside, they flickered like flames in a storm after Li Yi and Zhang Wei went in, only to be quickly extinguished.

Henry sent Robert to clean up the battlefield, Li Yi and Zhang Wei to interrogate the enemy for intelligence, and Ellie took Dalton to a storage room to deal with him. Although the outcome was not visible, Dalton's pitiful pleas for mercy revealed his predicament.

There wasn't much to clean up at the scene. Only a dozen or so guns, horses, and the luxury goods looted by the members of the Ottoman gang had some value. The rest was insignificant, and the group quickly finished cleaning up.

At this moment, Dalton's pleas for mercy gradually became weak and even lifeless, and Ellie also walked out of the storeroom with her hands covered in blood.

Finally, Sadie and Yak brought out a lot of odds and ends from the ranch. Looking at the messy ranch in front of them, they reluctantly left the ranch with Henry and the others and returned to the temporary camp in Plowstone Village.

The snowstorm has not stopped; in fact, it seems to be intensifying.

The bad weather didn't dampen anyone's spirits. That night, they gathered around the campfire for a celebratory party, congratulating Ellie on finally killing the enemy and avenging her daughter. Now it's time to live for herself.

Henry even spoke privately with Ellie about this, offering her the option to quit ghostwriting and live the life she wanted if she didn't want to continue. However, she refused. She explained that she was used to her current life; in this era, women didn't have much of a voice, and many jobs were unavailable to them. She felt comfortable and free, and quite liked her current lifestyle. Perhaps she also wanted to repay Henry, but she didn't say it aloud.

The bonfire party went quite well, releasing the fatigue from days of constant travel and fighting. Everyone also had a great time without worrying about Ellie's feelings. However, without Ashley and Mike's singing and jokes, Henry felt something was missing.

The next day at noon, everyone gradually woke up from their hangovers. Zhiqiang and Robert, who hadn't drunk any alcohol the night before and were on duty, had already prepared a sumptuous meal for everyone. It must be said, ever since Robert's wife became pregnant, he had learned many culinary skills from Henry's chef to take care of her, and his skills were getting better and better.

"Robert, your cooking skills are getting better and better. If you don't become a ghostwriter, you can definitely make a good living as a chef. You'll earn much more than a dockworker. You could easily support your whole family," Henry praised Robert while eating.

“Zhiqiang also deserves credit for this. His hometown cuisine is quite good. The plate of stir-fried pork with chili peppers that you ate was his masterpiece.” Robert paused and continued, “But boss, after last night’s consumption, our canned vegetable reserves are okay, but we don’t have much meat. The snowstorm is still going on, and we don’t know when it will stop. I think we should take advantage of the snowstorm now that it’s not so heavy and go out to hunt some animals to stock up.”

Looking at the swirling snow and wind outside, based on his memory of the game, this blizzard wasn't going to stop anytime soon; in fact, it might get worse. Although Henry had plenty of food in his backpack, he didn't want to reveal this secret. So he replied:

"You're right, the weather is indeed not suitable for the large convoy to return. We need to be prepared to stay here for a week."

"So, you and Zhiqiang stay here. You didn't sleep well last night, so get some rest. Li Yi, Smith, Sadie, and I will go hunting. Yak and Zhang Wei will take the rest of the men to gather some firewood nearby."

No one objected, and everyone agreed.

Henry and his four companions, along with eight horses (captured from Odrisco's gang), embarked on a hunting expedition. To increase efficiency, they split into two teams: Henry and Sadie formed one, hunting towards Spider Canyon, while Lee and Smith, skilled in searching and tracking, formed the other, heading towards Adler Ranch. They agreed to signal for danger before splitting up to search for prey.

"Saddy, I haven't had a chance to ask yet, what are your plans for the future? Where do you plan to settle down? Do you still want to continue running the ranch?" Henry asked Saddy, who was riding beside him, as he groomed Flying Snow's white fur.

“Yake and I discussed it for a long time, and we finally decided to develop our business at Emerald Ranch. We had been there before because of the ranch business, and we both liked the environment there.”

"Our original ranch wasn't worth much because of its remote location, and our savings weren't enough to buy one there. So we planned to work there for a while, and once we saved enough money, Ark and I would buy a small farm and run it properly. We originally wanted to go to Valentine; we were more familiar with Valentine than Emerald Ranch, but it's a hotbed of outlaws, crime, and thieves. Ark and I wanted a peaceful life." Sadie pointed Henry towards an area where many animals roamed.

The two quickly discovered traces of large animal activity, and following the trail, Henry swiftly killed a large elk with his bow and arrow. After tying the elk up, he continued, "I plan to acquire a few farms near Emerald Ranch, but I don't have suitable people to manage them. I wonder if Sadie or you would be willing to help me manage them? Of course, I will give you appropriate compensation."

"Of course, Henry, we'd love to. But we've heard that the large farms/ranches there aren't very profitable, and they're quite expensive. Plus, they don't accept installment payments; it's all cash payment. Henry, do you have enough funds?" Sadie was surprised by Henry's apparent wealth, assuming he wasn't familiar with ranch prices in the Heart of the Earth area. After all, when Henry visited last time, he was dressed rather shabbily and wasn't fully equipped with weapons, not exactly the wealthy type. Only a few months had passed; it was impossible for him to have made money that quickly, even though this time Henry wasn't alone but had assembled a team led by him.

"Don't worry, Sadie. As long as you and Yak are willing, I will send someone to go with you to finalize the acquisition after the snow in a few days."

As time passed, Henry and Sadie hunted several more large animals, filling the backs of their four horses to the brim. The two then decided to head back, but it was already afternoon, and the wind and snow began to intensify again.

Just as they were about to turn back, a figure appeared on the other side of the snowstorm.

"Who's over there?" A familiar yet weary voice came through the wind and snow.

"Arthur?" Henry called out, confirming the familiar figure holding a gun in the distance.
