He was confident that once they were back on land, no longer trapped in such a small place with nowhere to maneuver, they could fight their way out and leave again in style. He was confident in the retreat preparations he had made in Blackwater Town.

Moreover, he had to take the money with him; otherwise, their plan would be a failure, drawing ridicule from Arthur and Hosea, and diminishing his prestige among the gang. He couldn't allow himself to fail. Besides, he knew Arthur and Hosea; with such a commotion, they must already know something was wrong and would rush to his aid.

Milton gestured for everyone to stay put and leave. He had arranged so many men and even brought Maxim; he was confident he could wipe out such a small gang.

Dutch and his men formed a circle and slowly withdrew from the ferry with the hostages and money, arriving near the gallows (so they wouldn't be attacked from all sides). However, before they could take cover and release the hostages, Micah fired a shot at Landon Ricketts, who had come out with Milton and the others and was waiting for them to release the hostages before fighting.

Seeing the relentless pursuit of the enemy, David hesitated whether to take Mike to Henry for refuge. The two brothers were known for their loyalty and friendship. David was unsure of Henry's influence in Blackwater and wondered if this might cause him significant trouble.

But when he saw that Maxim was among the newly added reinforcements, and considering Mike's injury, he still decided to go to the place Henry had mentioned. If it were just him, he probably wouldn't have made that choice.

But looking at Mike, who had always been their only companion, his arm had begun to turn pale from blood loss and would be ruined if left untreated. They couldn't afford to delay, and given the size of the pursuing team behind them, the two of them might not be able to leave Blackwater Town today.

If Henry can really save them, they can work for him for the rest of their lives, and given Henry's character, he probably won't treat them badly.

However, the Calander brothers were nowhere to be found, and they could only search and chase after them along the route out of town…

As for Dutch, he was really fierce. It's unclear where Dutch hid a carriage beforehand, but after putting the money in the carriage, he had Bill drive along Blackwater Road towards the outskirts of the city. Meanwhile, he and Micah went into overdrive, killing people in front of them as if they didn't care about money.

There were just too many people, and when they were almost out of bullets, they finally saw Arthur and Hosea coming towards them.

Seeing Dutch being chased, Arthur didn't waste any words. After throwing some bullets to the two men, the three sharpshooters made Pinkerton's side too afraid to show their faces.

After the carriage had driven some distance, it realized it still couldn't shake off its pursuers.

Dutch said to Arthur and the others, “Arthur, Micah, Bill, the wagon is too conspicuous. If they bring the Maxim back, we won’t be able to escape without abandoning the wagon.
