On the vast and boundless Lake Luoti, a ferry named "Black Star" is slowly sailing. Like a black behemoth, it cuts through the lake and heads towards the Blackwater Wharf, leaving a long trail of water behind it.

In a cabin on the second floor, orange lights were on, and several people were discussing something.

If Henry were here, he would recognize them as Milton and Detective Ross, who had been missing for over half a month. Besides them, there was also an old man.

"Mr. Langdon Ricketts, according to the telegram we just received, our enemy has changed. We originally expected the infamous Colm O'Driscoll to lead his gang into our trap."

Unexpectedly, he was so cautious that he sensed something was amiss and didn't take the bait. However, we didn't leave empty-handed; Colm leaked the information to his arch-enemy, Dutch van der Linde.

The Van der Linde gang is a notorious criminal organization that has been active in the West for over two decades. They have committed numerous bank robberies, and just a few months ago, they robbed a wealthy man of over $10,000 and burned valuables worth over $20,000.

The wealthy people in New Mexico are still offering a $10,000 reward for their capture. They never expected to find out they'd silently made their way to Blackwater.

Although their gang is relatively small, with only about a dozen members, their individual combat skills are formidable, including more than four sharpshooter-level cowboys. You must be careful when dealing with them.

Milton spoke to the old man. This old man was none other than Langdon Ricketts, the renowned sharpshooter from the Black & White series, who had also killed the Butcher Brothers, fellow sharpshooters, and was considered one of the fastest gun-drawing men. (In the first game, he also coached John on marksmanship, helping John raise his Death Eye skill by two levels; he was also one of Arthur's most admired gunslingers.)

He was a highly skilled bodyguard hired by Pinkerton agents to ensure the safekeeping of a large sum of money. While Pinkerton's goal was to carry out a major operation, that didn't mean he wanted to lose the money. After all, it was under their protection; losing it would severely damage their reputation, a loss that wouldn't outweigh the gains. This is one of the reasons why, in the early game before Cornwall funded Pinkerton, they remained so relentlessly pursuing the Van Cleef family.

“No problem. Since you’ve gone to such lengths to invite me here and have given me such a high reward, I will definitely help you protect this money.” Landon Ricketts gave Milton a positive answer.

“No, no, no, Mr. Ricketts, we don’t want you to protect this huge fortune. We want the enemy to seize it first, and then we will take it back from them. We need to lure them onto the ship to commit the crime.”

"Isn't this a bit risky? You said they have at least four sharpshooters. If it's just a one-on-one fight, I'm confident I can handle it, but if it's two or more, then it's hard to say." Langdon expressed his dissatisfaction with Milton for not explaining this beforehand.

“Don’t worry, Mr. Ricketts. Besides your trump card, we have a large number of detectives, bounty hunters, Blackwater police officers, and we’ve even brought in two Maxim machine guns. They can’t escape,” Agent Ross said confidently.

"I hope so."

As they chatted, time slowly passed, and the Blackwater Pier became visible from the ferry.

"We're almost there. Ross, tell the agents to stay hidden and surround the place where the funds are stored once the enemy gets close. Also, tell the guests in the VIP cabins not to come out unless we send someone to pick them up, no matter what happens outside. Lock the doors and windows."

Meanwhile, on a building near the Blackwater docks, Dutch and his men were gathered together, watching the approaching "Black Star." "Micah, do you think this is the armored ship we know about?" Dutch handed the binoculars to Micah.

“That’s right, it has the bank’s logo on it,” Micah said after observing it for a while.

"OK, everyone, let's proceed according to plan. After we pull off this job, we'll have a lot of money, and we can buy a large piece of land in California or Tahiti and live a wonderful life."

Sean, you and your team will go to the southernmost part of the East District and create some disturbance to attract the nearby police.

Uncle, Jenny, you two go to the West End and cause a disturbance.

After you two groups complete your tasks, act according to the situation: whether to withdraw directly or come to our aid.

After they create a commotion to distract the guards, Javier, John, Mike, and David, you will all attack from the left and board the ferry together.

"Micah, Bill, and I will attack from the right and board the ferry. After quickly finding the $15, we will disperse and evacuate according to the pre-planned route. Finally, we will meet up at the camp and leave immediately. Is that clear?" Dutch said to everyone, holding a pre-drawn map and pointing to the various markers and evacuation routes.

After seeing that everyone indicated they understood, he waved his hand, signaling them to begin.

As the members of Fan's gang headed to their respective positions as planned.

Unbeknownst to them, on a rooftop higher than their hiding place, Li Yi, Zhang Wei, and several Native American warriors were observing them through binoculars.

After seeing the initial personnel allocation of the Fan gang, Li Yi signaled someone to report to Henry.

Upon hearing the news, Henry instructed Paul to send out all his spies, and then led an armed squad to the vicinity of the West End.

As the "Black Star" approached, undercurrents began to stir throughout Blackwater Town.

First, in the southern part of the East District, there was initial vandalism, followed by sparks flying, attracting a large number of patrol officers, as well as a group of trusted officers led by South District Sheriff Bernard Weaver. His task for the day was to maintain order around the docks and prevent any trouble. It must be said that although Sean's marksmanship was terrible, he was indeed a master of sabotage.

Then, in the West District, Jenny and the uncle arrived near a small ranch. They quietly opened the livestock gate, fired a few shots into the air, and saw a large number of livestock running wildly towards the town. After setting fire to a warehouse containing a large amount of hay, they quickly disappeared and hid.

Unfortunately, they didn't know that the moment they fired their first shot, they were spotted by a bounty hunter who had been roaming the city that night. As they set the warehouse ablaze, the bounty hunter had already gathered three men and walked towards them, signaling for them to surrender on the spot.

Jenny and the uncle were naturally unwilling, because Henry had reminded them that they had already put on hoods before they started causing trouble. As long as they found a secluded place to take off the hoods and change their clothes, no one would recognize them.

Hearing the bounty hunters' shouts, Jenny didn't intend to retaliate. She immediately separated from the man and ran into the winding alleys of the city. Unfortunately, just as Jenny was about to turn the second corner and disappear from the sight of the two bounty hunters following behind, one of them disregarded the city's rules and shot Jenny in the thigh, causing her to trip and fall to the ground.

The sound of gunfire seemed to trigger some kind of chemical reaction, and intense fighting and loud alarms followed at the East Wharf, so much so that Arthur and Hosea, far away in the western part of the North Wharf, could hear it.
