Eagle had prepared to evacuate long before those dozen or so people came out, and had changed his weapon from a bow and arrow to a repeating rifle with a scope.

Continue firing while retreating.

Although Flying Eagle is not as proficient with rifles as he is with bows and arrows, the rifle has a long range and can still harass the enemy to some extent and cause considerable damage.

After the enemy disappeared from sight, Henry quietly crept up to the wounded men.

Henry, who had somehow changed into a black outfit, appeared in the shadows behind a wounded man in a corner. He covered his mouth and nose with one hand and held a gleaming black dagger in the other, killing him instantly.

Meanwhile, the enemies who were still wailing ahead were completely unaware. When Henry finished off the three men one by one, the last man finally realized that the surroundings seemed to have become much quieter, and the wailing of others was gone.

As he was about to turn around to see what was going on, Henry was too late to reach him. He grabbed a throwing knife and hurled it at him, hitting him squarely between the eyebrows.

Having dealt with the enemies at the cave entrance, Henry continued his infiltration deeper into the cave.

He quietly dealt with four more enemies as he ventured deeper into the cave. By then, he had arrived at a spacious area deep within the cave, where faint moonlight shone down from the ceiling.

Several iron cages were placed in the open space ahead, and five disheveled people were locked inside the cages: two men and three women. One of the men and one of the women were Antora and Lorian.

Meanwhile, Antora, who was trying to save herself, noticed Henry in the shadows and nudged Lorian slightly to signal her to be careful. Henry also noticed Antora's movement and gestured for her not to move.

Besides the people locked in the cage, there were six members of the Movery family walking around with shotguns.

Having calculated their route, Henry immediately sipped a magic potion, dual-wielded revolvers, activated Dead Eye, and... bang bang bang bang...

After a spectacular burst of gunfire, six more bodies lay on the ground.

But Henry didn't immediately rush to rescue the hostages; instead, he retreated back into the shadows. After all, there were many caves here, and who knew if there were other enemies lurking in the corners?

The safest and quickest way, of course, is to hide first and then confirm with Antora and the others whether there are any other hidden enemies.

Antora reacted quickly, giving the answer without Henry even having to ask.

"Henry, to the northwest, there was another guy who went to smoke over there just now."

Reminded by Antora, Henry grabbed his revolver and headed northwest. Alone, Henry feared no one. Even if something unexpected happened, the enemy wouldn't be able to kill him in a few shots. His miracle supplement was still active, giving him a full buff.

Meanwhile, the gunshot had already woken up the smoking enemy, but after seeing Henry's marksmanship, he didn't dare to show his face.

He could only cry out in despair, "Don't shoot! I surrender! Please spare me! I know where the family treasure is!"

“Sir, please don’t trust them. They are all perverts, cannibals. They are not trustworthy. I am a bailiff from Annesburg, and I was the one who tracked them down and got arrested.” At this moment, a man in solitary confinement spoke up.

"Please, please let me go. I haven't hurt anyone you've ever done. I'm useful. I know where they hide their money, lots and lots of money."

"Okay, throw away the gun, raise your hands and come out."

"Okay, I'll come out, please don't shoot." He couldn't fight back, and he couldn't escape, so he could only walk out with a look of utter despair on his face.

Henry told him to first open the cages holding Antora and Lorian, and then ask them if they were injured and if they could still fight.

Both Antora and Lorian stated that it was just a minor injury and would not affect their ability to fight.

Henry told them to hurry up and loot the weapons on the ground and the supplies in the cave before rescuing the other three men.

After Henry promised not to kill him if the Mauve family's treasure was large enough, the prisoner led Henry to a secluded spot deep within the cave. There were three chests of various jewels, a small chest of gold bars and ingots, and a chest of cash.

These were mostly looted and murdered by the Movery family over the years. They relied on robbery for their food, drink, and weapons, so they didn't need to spend any money and just piled them up here.

Henry got off easy, what a windfall! It's true what they say, murder and arson bring wealth.

Now was not the time to take inventory, so Henry put everything into the legendary backpack and would count it slowly when it was safe to do so.

"Sir, may I go now? You promised to let me go," the prisoner said tremblingly.

“Let’s go, let’s get out of here first. Don’t worry, I promised I wouldn’t kill you, and I won’t,” Henry replied. At the same time, he thought to himself, “As for whether others will kill you, that’s beyond my control.”

They brought the prisoner back to the hall. By then, Antora and his men had already looted all the supplies and weapons in the vicinity and retrieved their bows and arrows.

There was a man and two women standing beside him.

"How many people usually live in this hideout? Are there any other hideouts nearby?"

“We usually have about 50 people here. We don’t have any other fixed hiding places besides this place; we’re all scattered around the Ronok Ridge. But occasionally a small team comes back here to resupply.” The prisoner answered honestly, looking at the menacing crowd around him. “I’ve told you everything I know. Can I go now?”

"Okay, go ahead."

Seeing that Henry really wouldn't kill him, the imprisoned man hesitated to speak.

As the prisoner cautiously made his way to the cave entrance, and seeing that Henry hadn't shot him, he turned around in ecstasy, ready to run away, when Henry gave Antora a wink.

Antora understood immediately, quickly raised his longbow, released an arrow, and with a whoosh, pinned the prisoner to the cave wall.

"Alright, everyone, listen to me for a moment. We're not safe yet. A friend of mine lured away nearly twenty enemies. They'll be back soon, and there might be new members of the Mofri family joining them on the way."

So once we get out, we might soon face close to thirty enemies.

I'm worried they might be discovered on the way, leading to a direct firefight. I plan to ambush them near this cave.

What do you think? Do you have any objections?

Of the three of you, does any of you know how to use firearms?

Looking at the two women who were cowering to the side, Henry felt there was no need to ask them anymore and turned directly to the man who had claimed to be a bailiff.

“I have no objection. I came here to arrest them. Thank you for saving me, sir.”

"My name is Slim Grant. May I ask your name? I'd like to know who saved me."

"Slim Grant? You're the sheriff of Annesburg?"

"Never mind, we'll talk about this outside. Antora, give this sheriff some weapons. See if there's a revolver in the supplies; give it to him too. He's a master."
