Chapter 6, First Encounter with Patch McCreary

Franklin parked his car on the side of the road and waited quietly, hoping to run into Patch McCreely today. Sitting in the car, looking out the window, Franklin was filled with emotion. It was hard to believe that this place where he used to play had become his life—no, his place of survival. It was a place full of crime, full of danger, and of course, full of opportunities, money, and beautiful women. If you did well, you could be incredibly successful and famous; if you didn't, you could be killed at any moment. Sigh, when did I become so prone to overthinking? Just then, three men caught Franklin's attention. They were wearing thick coats and hats that covered their faces, and they were heading towards the pharmacy. Franklin thought, "Could it be such a coincidence? I really have run into them. Their clothes are so thick; they must be carrying weapons." After a while, a gunshot rang out, and the men ran out. At the same time, the alarm went off. They probably just wanted to rob some money but didn't expect to encounter resistance and have to be shot. The men hurriedly ran out, and Franklin knew it was his turn to take action.

Franklin pulled up beside them, executed a drift, rolled down the window, and yelled, "Get in!" They exchanged a glance before getting in, as sirens blared nearby—the police had arrived! With a fluid, effortless maneuver, the Dodge Gallardo sped off. Inside, Patty McCreary couldn't contain his curiosity.

Patch McCreary: "Hey bro, thank you so much. Why did you save us?"

Franklin: "Because I need your help! Where are you going?"

Patch McCreary: "Just go to the vicinity of a strip club. [Love↑Go△Novel↓Net wqu]"

South Los Santos, a strip club.

Franklin parked the car there, and after the two men in the back got out, just as Patty McCreely was about to get out, Franklin grabbed his arm. "Brother, how about we talk?"

Patch McCreary: "You guys go first!"

Franklin drove to a small bar, and the two sat down together at the back.

Franklin: "What would you like to drink?"

Patch McCreary: "Either is fine."

Franklin: "Two whiskeys, please!"

Patch McCreary: "Okay, so tell me, what do you need my help with?"

Franklin: "That's right, brother, I want to recreate the glory days of the Grove Gang."

Patch McCreary: "You should know that this is impossible!"

Franklin: "That's why I need your help. You know, you were quite famous in Liberty City back in the day!"

Patch McCreary: "What did you say? I don't understand."

Franklin smiled when he saw Petch McCreely's expression: "Then let me tell you about someone, and I'm sure you'll understand!"

Franklin: "Nikobellic (Nick Bellich) is from the former Yugoslavia region."

Niko participated in the Yugoslav Wars. His unit consisted of 15 men. They were betrayed and surrounded by the enemy. Niko survived, but most of his comrades were killed. Only three people, including Niko, survived, and the traitor was among them.

After the war, finding work in his homeland proved difficult, so his cousin, Romanbellic, moved to Liberty City in the United States to start a new life. Niko, however, remained in his homeland, becoming a criminal and working in the underworld for ten years while simultaneously searching for the other two survivors. During this time, Niko was imprisoned. After his release, he joined a human trafficking organization led by Rodislavbulgarin. Through this organization, Niko learned that one of the other survivors, Florian Cravic, was currently living in Liberty City.

During a smuggling mission for the organization, the smuggling ship was sunk, and Niko once again miraculously survived. The leader, Rodislavbulgarin, falsely accused Niko of sinking the ship and absconding with the money, and began hunting him down. Seeing no place to stay in his homeland, Niko had no choice but to illegally immigrate to the United States to seek refuge with his cousin, while also searching for his former comrades. His cousin claimed to own a mansion, beautiful women, and luxury cars in America.

Upon arriving in Liberty City, Niko discovered that her cousin had been lying all along. He lived in a dilapidated apartment, ran a nearly bankrupt taxi company, and was heavily indebted to loan sharks and gambling debts. Faced with reality, Niko had no choice but to start working for her cousin and his creditors.

Patch McCreary: "Sorry, bro, I still don't understand! I don't know this Nick you're talking about at all."

Franklin: "Well, Patch McCreely, a very kind man!"

He has a very beautiful younger sister, and her boyfriend seems to be named Nick! Patch McCreely is very famous in Liberty City; he and Nick robbed the Liberty Bank together, and then…”

Patty McCreely: "Stop talking. Yes, you're right. I left Liberty City and came to Los Santos. I don't know how you know all this, but if you think I'd risk my life for you just for that, it doesn't seem like enough!"

Franklin: "That's straightforward. Look at what you're doing now, robbing a pharmacy? How much money could you possibly make? Don't worry, I'll let you know soon enough, and we'll pull off a heist together. I'll prove to you that you've made the right choice by following me!"

Patch McCreary: "Very good, this is your reward for helping us this time. I'm off now, see you later!"

Franklin: "Okay, see you later!"

Leaving the bar, Franklin thought that if things went as planned, he could recruit Patch McCreely after robbing the jewelry store. So, what should he do next? Right, he needed to improve his appearance; otherwise, he looked like a loser. Time to buy some clothes!

South of Los Santos, Chamberlain Hill, a clothing store.

As Franklin pushed open the door and entered, the shop owner greeted him warmly, "Hello, handsome, welcome! What would you like to buy?"

Just then, a flamboyantly dressed woman hurried by and accidentally bumped into Franklin. Franklin quickly pushed her away, and the woman laughed, saying, "Oh dear, I'm so sorry, handsome, I bumped into you. Hope you're alright!" At the same time, she walked over to Franklin and began circling his chest with her hand. Franklin felt a wave of nausea and quickly pushed her away again, saying, "Uh, it's okay!"

After saying this, Franklin went to pick out clothes, while the glamorous woman smiled slightly and left the clothing store. Franklin then went to the cashier to pay.

Shopkeeper: "Sir, that's 180 in total, thank you!"

Franklin took out his wallet, pulled out $200, and handed it to the female shop owner, saying, "Keep the change. Oh, by the way, you're really beautiful!" Just as Franklin was about to leave, the woman who had just left suddenly pushed open the door and walked straight towards him, saying, "My wallet is gone! Did you take it?" Franklin didn't say anything, but watched the glamorous woman's performance with a smile. Actually, the moment Franklin was bumped into, he felt the woman stuff something into his pocket. Since he was bored anyway, Franklin decided to play along.

The glamorous woman said, "Why are you looking at me like that? Did you steal it? If you did, give it back to me and pay me some money, and this matter will be over!"

Franklin looked out the door and saw three thugs guarding the entrance. He thought to himself, "So they came prepared. I'm short of money anyway, and they're trying to extort me. I might as well rob them instead. That's what I call upholding justice." (What the hell is this about upholding justice?!)

Without thinking, Franklin pushed the woman aside and ran out, followed closely by the thugs at the door. When they arrived at a small alley, the glamorous woman laughed and said, "Why aren't you running anymore, handsome? Hand over all your money, or you'll regret it!" At this moment, the thugs also looked at Franklin arrogantly.

Franklin: "You've swindled plenty of people out of their money, haven't you? Today, I'm in a good mood, so I'll collect some interest for them!" With that, Franklin charged forward and delivered a spinning kick, instantly taking down two of them before they could even react. The remaining one, seeing the situation was turning against him, tried to turn and run, but Franklin rushed behind him and threw him back with an over-the-shoulder throw. The woman cried out, "Big brother, spare me! I won't do it again! You can have all the money!"

Franklin: "Hand over the money, and you can get out! Don't do this again, it's beneath you!" (It seems he was doing this too.)

Franklin saw that the money was quite a lot; the total for these people was over $1000. So, Franklin happily took the money and left, returning home. Perhaps tomorrow he should go and meet Mike Townley. He couldn't wait!
