Chapter 90 (Owl Feather) Bad Kid

"Klee didn't hit anyone, she just blew up a few trees. How about we go and fix them up in a few days?"

Before Abedo received the news, Sugar arrived first. The girl with animal ears was standing at the door of the solitary confinement cell, quietly advising the poor little Klee, while Kaeya was locked up on the other side.

Because Kaeya took Klee to Starfall Lake to fish with explosives, they damaged several large trees nearby, which scared the people who went there to collect Sunset Fruits, and they complained to Jean for a long time.

The two prisoners were immediately apprehended and placed in solitary confinement. Kaeya was alright, just a little embarrassed; he hadn't expected Klee's bomb to become so powerful.

Klee felt wronged. Her bouncy bomb seemed to have gotten damp and exploded unexpectedly, startling her. It almost hit her brother Kaeya, and although Kaeya dodged it, Klee still felt guilty.

Kaeya comforted Klee the whole way, and although he was scolded by Jean, he didn't care much. However, since he and Klee weren't in the same room, he was a little worried about how she was doing.

As evening fell, the two emerged from their confinement cell. They looked at each other, both feeling somewhat uneasy. The reason was simple: Klee had been taken away by Jean. As for Kaeya, he was, after all, an adult, and Jean couldn't very well discipline him. So, the clever Captain Jean went to Diluc.

God knows how much Kaeya wanted to run away when he saw Diluc. Unfortunately, he only managed a couple of steps before Diluc grabbed him by the collar. Kaeya had no desire to test his strength against the greatsword-wielding Diluc, so he could only obediently let himself be taken away.

Before she had taken more than a few steps, Kaeya heard Diluc's voice, "You're really good at stirring things up. Bringing a little kid along to throw bombs. Looks like I underestimated you."

Kaiya felt a little guilty and didn't dare to say anything. He admitted that he was partly responsible for the accident.

"Hmph, you're behaving yourselves this time. Good thing you didn't hurt anyone." With that, Diluc continued dragging Kaeya forward. Everyone who passed by stared at the two of them.

Kaeya covered her face in embarrassment and indignation, while Diluc didn't seem to care much about what others thought. It wasn't until they were almost at Dawn Winery that Kaeya finally came to her senses.

"Wait a minute, why did you bring me here? I want to go back to the Knights."

Diluc chuckled, his usually expressionless cat face now showing emotion. "Jane told me to teach you a lesson, you bad boy Kaeya."

Diluc uttered the word "discipline" with great emphasis.

Kaeya flinched, sensing something was wrong, and immediately began to struggle violently. Being a one-handed swordsman, he was no match for Diluc's strength, and Diluc easily caught him.

"be honest."

With that, Diluc grasped both of Kaia's hands with one hand and strode toward the winery.

When Adeline saw the two of them walking back like that, she momentarily lost control of her expression, but finally managed a polite smile. "Welcome home. Lord Diluc and Young Master Kaeya."

Kaya looked at Adeline as if she had seen a savior. "Adeline, please help me."

Adeline looked at Diluc with a smile, while Diluc told Adeline, "Don't mind him, he's caused trouble. Let him stay home for a few days."

"Okay, then I'll have someone prepare dinner and tidy up Young Master Kaiya's room."

Diluc shook his head and told Adeline, "This guy sleeps with me."

Adeline nodded, glancing at Kaia as she left, recalling their childhood squabbles. A smile she couldn't suppress crept onto her face.

Diluc led Kaeya to the study; he still had ledgers to review before bringing Kaeya back. Diluc closed the door, placed Kaeya on the sofa, tossed him a book, and then sat down at his desk to continue working.

Kaiya was placed on the sofa in a daze. He glanced at the book in his hand, his lips twitching. It was a children's book. Oh, it was the one he liked to read when he was a child.

"Diluc, do you think I'm a child? You gave me a fairy tale book."

Diluc didn't even look up, only saying, "Behave yourself." And then he ignored Kaeya.

Seeing Diluc's focused expression, Kaeya listlessly flipped through the fairy tale book. Oh wow, a familiar story; they'd read it together under the covers when they were kids.

Diluc was so cute back then; just calling him "brother" was enough. Unlike now, he's not cute at all. He has such a cute face, yet he insists on acting all cold and aloof.

Thinking of this, Kaeya's mischievous thoughts couldn't be hidden anymore. Looking at the serious Diluc, he suddenly felt an urge to stir up some trouble.

Like a mischievous cat, Kaeya tiptoed closer to Diluc, intending to startle him once behind his seat.

Before she could even succeed, Diluc grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms. Diluc's movements were so fast that Kaeya was a little dazed. When she came to her senses, Kaeya was already sitting on Diluc's lap.

Diluc smiled as he looked at Kaeya, "You really are disobedient."

Kaeya wasn't about to back down. He leaned closer to Diluc and playfully touched Diluc's fair chin. Then, he raised an eyebrow defiantly, "Are you going to teach me a lesson, Diluc-nii-san?"

Kaeya's voice was like a hook, not sharp, but it had a tantalizing quality. At least Diluc felt he could no longer concentrate on his work.

"You need to be taught a lesson."

Diluc's eyes were deep and mysterious, his scarlet pupils like burning flames, with specks of gold shimmering within. Kaeya wasn't afraid at all; instead, he felt excited. Kaeya reached out and grabbed Diluc's collar, wanting to pull him down and kiss him. And so, a joyous night could begin.

Diluc, seeing Kaeya's bewildered gaze, pulled Kaeya's restless hand down. Then, holding his hands, he flipped Kaeya over and made him lie face down on his lap.

Then he slapped Kaiya's pert bottom twice. Kaiya was bewildered, Kaiya couldn't believe it. He, an adult, had actually been spanked. Kaiya belatedly felt a little ashamed and indignant.

"You damned Diluc, you bastard!"

Kaeya's voice echoed in the room. Diluc's voice laced with laughter, "Throwing bombs to blow up trees, interrupting my work, what else do you want? You're such a naughty child."

……

Adeline had intended to knock on the door to call them for dinner, but hearing the sounds coming from inside, she didn't reach out. She simply turned and left with a smile, wondering with some concern as she went downstairs how long she would have to keep the dinner warm.
