Chapter 167 (Prison Trial) Whispering in Each Other's Ears

In the morning, the people of Fontaine were surprised to find that Navelette, who was usually engrossed in her work at the Moman Palace and almost never seen, had appeared on the streets of Fontaine. Accompanying her was another warden who was almost never seen—Leosley.

For a moment, the people of Fontainebleau felt as if something big was about to happen. Some thought they were arresting some notorious criminal, but no news came out. Others saw them enter the shop and assumed they were investigating clues.

Some people felt that the two got along very well, as if they were not doing anything important, but rather just having a normal time together. However, this group's opinion was quickly overshadowed by the opinions of others.

So when the traveler received this request, he was completely bewildered.

Please, please, I beg you!

The traveler looked at the reporter with his hands clasped together and really didn't know whether he should accept such a commission.

"Please, traveler, the exclusive information about these two lords is just too tempting. If I could report on it, I would definitely become the best reporter."

As if conjuring up some beautiful scene, the girl in front of me broke into a bright smile.

The traveler and Paimon exchanged a glance, then Paimon asked, "Aren't you journalists supposed to find your own information? Why don't you go yourself?"

The reporter in front of her was clearly dejected. "I couldn't get close to those two at all, and..." The girl's face turned slightly red.

Paimon scratched his head and said, "And?"

"I greatly admire Lord Navelette, I certainly won't be able to ask him!"

The girl covered her face, then firmly grasped the traveler's hand.

“You’re a renowned traveler, you must have a way to get the information I need. The payment is negotiable, whether it’s Mora or the rough stones you like, I can give them to you.”

Upon hearing this, the traveler immediately became serious and said, "Leave it to me."

Despite promising this, the traveler was disappointed when he arrived at Moman Palace but couldn't find Navilette. Before coming to Moman Palace, the traveler first visited Mero Petersburg.

Clearly, the traveler and Paimon did not see anyone.

Seeing the traveler's dejected expression, Chiara kindly gave her a reminder.

"Lord Villette and Lord Leosley may have gone to the vicinity of Mount Autumn Equinox. Lord Leosley asked me yesterday that there are few people there and the scenery is quite nice."

The adorable Melusin shuddered slightly after feeling the intense gazes of the traveler and Paimon.

"I see, thank you so much."

After saying this, the traveler quickly left with Paimon, his heart burning with excitement at the thought of the reward he might receive.

The hurried traveler, of course, didn't hear Chiara's next words, "Something seems off. According to humans, they seem to be on a date..."

Near Mount Qiufen.

The poor traveler and Paimon wandered around for a long time but couldn't find the two people they were looking for.

"Damn it, where did those two go?" Little Paimon tugged at the traveler's clothes anxiously, only to receive a pat on the head in return.

The traveler's gaze continued to scan her surroundings, and suddenly, she spotted two indistinct figures.

The traveler scooped Paimon up and rushed toward the two figures with her in tow.

Sure enough, the two people they had been searching for were sitting comfortably on the grass.

The endless meadow looked refreshing, with pale blue flowers surrounding it and a delicate fragrance. A luminous butterfly landed on Violet's shoulder, and the whole scene looked like a masterpiece.

Seeing the two panting men, Leosley raised an eyebrow, observed them for a moment, and then smiled at them, "What a coincidence, to run into you here."

"What a coincidence! We came here specifically to find you."

Paimon moved closer to Leosley and had his round little face pinched.

The traveler smiled at Paimon's surprise and explained his purpose to the two.

"You two went shopping together this morning, which made many people in Fontainebleau incredibly curious..."

After listening to the traveler's various speculations, Villette fell silent. It seemed human thought was indeed very changeable. Leosley, however, laughed. "Haha, this is even more interesting than blowing up Mero Petersburg!"

Then, Leosley took Navelette's hand, and their fingers intertwined to the astonishment of the Traveler and Paimon.

“The reason is simple: we were buying materials in the morning, and we were on a date in the afternoon.” Navelette looked at their clasped hands and nodded.

"Dating?!"

The traveler and Paimon gasped in surprise; they could almost imagine how shocking it would be if such a reason were revealed.

"You two have this kind of relationship?"

After hearing Paimon's words, Leosley casually told her, "Is our relationship so incredible? Isn't it obvious?"

"This is so strange, so strange." Poor little Paimon was still completely bewildered.

Leosley's gaze shifted to the traveler. "Your request is to interview us about what happened this morning, right? I already told you that. How you tell the reporter is up to you."

"I'm still looking forward to seeing what the newspapers will say tomorrow."

After saying that, Leosley lowered his head and fiddled with Vilette's slender fingers in his hand. He had a slight urge to kiss his lover. But thinking of the two children present, he suppressed the thought.

Leosley looked up at the blonde girl and the small, silvery-white floating object.

"Alright, I've told you everything you wanted to know. Now it's time for us adults to have some time to relax. Goodbye."

Upon hearing Leosley's words, the traveler awkwardly touched his nose, then left with Paimon. Interfering with someone else's romance was hardly a good thing, the traveler, who had journeyed through many worlds, remarked.

As for the Steambird newspaper the next day, most of the Fontainebleau residents breathed a sigh of relief; it turned out they were just purchasing supplies. Although they didn't understand why these two were doing such a small thing, it was good that it wasn't a bad thing.

Near the newspaper stand, a little boy holding a newspaper suddenly looked up at the sky.

It was a deep, clear blue, without a single cloud.

"Mom, look, the sky is so beautiful."

The woman smiled and patted the child's head. "These past two days have been beautiful sunny days. Just a while ago, it was raining all the time."
